I have never read a book by this author and don’t usually read this type of romance but I was pleasantly surprised with how good this book was. But how can a book not be good with a mission faerie and a garden gnome as characters? Sophia, a mission faerie, is sent on a mission to help Lady Anne (the Duke of Robinsworth “Robin” daughter.) Robin is shunned by society after the death of his wife and doesn’t like to socialize. He slowly starts to have interactions with guest when Sophia is a guest as his mother’s house party. They are drawn to each other but there are rules for the fae and loving a human is not allowed. Sophia is determined to not break any rules. The book is full of mystery, humor, mischief, funny side characters, and romance. All the characters in the book was well developed and they all seemed to contribute to the humor of the story. The book was engaging, well written and very hard to put down. I can’t wait to read the next book! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
