Gwen and Arthur are solving another mystery in this book. Gwen is trying to show him how much she cares for him but he seems to be pulling away from her. They realize that someone has a hex on him that is tied to crystals spread around the area. They go in search of them in order to destroy them. I’ve always loved King Arthur and Camelot and the way these books weave the myth into the storyline makes them fun.
The danger gets personal for Gwen and Arthur!
In this marvelous third book, this series really becomes extraordinary. I really enjoyed the first two books in this paranormal cozy mystery series, but the author really brought it to another level this time. The tension, the magic, and the new danger for the sleuthing couple kept me on the edge of my seat! In addition, I love how Arthur and Gwen’s relationship is developing. Arthur and Gwen are such good, lovable people. Plus, the cozy baking, Arthurian legends, reincarnation, and archeology all combine to make a unique and compelling story. I can’t wait for the next one. I heartily recommend this to all fans of cozy mysteries, fantasy, and/or King Arthur.
Don’t expect anything steamy except for Arthur’s toe-curling kisses. The book is suitable for adults and teens. There is no bad language, either. It is best to read the series in order. Hermione Moon is the new pen name for the prolific and talented author Serenity Woods. This Avalon Café series is absolutely brilliant and getting better with every book!

I’m really enjoying this series. A little mystery, a little magic, a little romance.
Gwen is becoming more confidant as a witch as her powers grow. She has a vision of a woman being thrown to her death, so she and Arthur decide to investigate. Their investigation brings them into contact again with the coven, Morgana’s Sisters.
As they continue to investigate, they visit places that were important to Arthur and Guinevere. While at those sites, Gwen starts to have visions of her being Guinevere.
I love the mix of history and magic in this series. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
I received an ARC from the author. This is my honest review.
A great mystery romance with a little witch craft thrown in. Great series
I just love this series by Hermione Moon, and I am not a big fan of cozy mysteries. It is all the other stuff in the story that is so appealing to me – like the relationships, complex characters, the King Arthur stuff, and magic. Plus Hermione’s writing style is just lovely. A Knight to Remember was great as it shows the further development of all of those elements. This is a slow burn romance, and yet we know it will get there. I just gobble these stories up! Highly recommend.
A Knight to is the third in the Avalon Café series and this series just gets better and better! The story grabs you from the first page and the magic and romance continues until the end. This is definitely my favorite of the three books!
I highly recommend this book. I love that there is a series story “catch up” at the beginning for those who haven’t read the previous books or for those of us who read them months apart. While this is a standalone book with a happily ever after ending, if you haven’t read the other books, I recommend you read them as the pleasure of reading is in the journey and the characters grow and the magic evolves throughout the stories. This is a clean, cozy mystery that can be enjoyed by most ages.
In this third installment of the series, Gwen’s magical abilities evolve as she experiences visions. She continues to help Arthur acclimate to the 21st century. As their past connection dramatically shows itself, their romance grows. As they solve the mystery of who the women from her vision who was pushed over the cliff is, it becomes apparent that the evil witches’ coven known as Morgana’s Sisters may once again, be to blame. The mystery remains as to who their mysterious leader is and why he wants to destroy Arthur, who has waited centuries for Gwen. The ending of the book was wonderful and left me feeling very happy. I’m looking forward to the next book.
Gwen’s family, friends and nemesis from the previous books are interwoven in this story. This book encompasses a little bit of suspenseful mystery, Arthurian history, archaeology, witches, the community of friends and neighbors surrounding Avalon café, and romance!
I received an ARC copy from the author and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
A wonderful combination of magic and fantasy, history, adventure, romance and an armchair travel tour of the UK. Modern day Arthur (the King Arthur freed after 1500 years from a spelled suit of armor) and Gwen (a witch and reincarnation of Arthur’s Guinevere) are such a likeable couple that you can’t help but root for them as they battle evil towards what I hope will be their happily-ever-after in the next book! Very enjoyable series – hope to see more in the future!
A Knight to Remember is the third book in the sweetest cozy mystery series around, titled The Avalon Cafe by Hermione Moon. I love everything about this series. The characters’ relationships continue to develop which includes the supporting characters as well as the main ones..
The third addition has all the qualities that I have enjoyed in the previous two books; a mystery which happens to include murder, lovely characters, history, and romance. Usually cozy mysteries do not include much romance but I have read this author’s other books which makes me glad she instills some in this series too. The romance is sweet with a slow burn though there is a time travel element to it. Arthur and Gwen are perfect together no matter the year in which Arthur was able to find Gwen again.
The missing woman has insights concerning Arthur that makes her disappearance feel personal to Gwen. It kept me reading trying to solve it along with the characters. I hope to read of many adventures that these two have along with Merlin the dog. While this novel would read okay as a stand-alone, I think the enjoyment may be greatly enhanced if the series is read in order.
The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
When Gwen and Arthur start to investigate the disappearance of woman little they know that it will be tied with their past and can affect their future. They need to solve the mystery if they want to have a chance at happiness and love. Awesome cozy mystery with touches of romance, ancient tales and history.
I am truly enjoying this journey we are taking with Arthur, Gwen, and Merlin. I love a good cozy mystery and this one is also fun, intriguing, and romantic.
While Gwen and Arthur investigate what might have happened to Charlotte, I also had that feeling of suspense. Like waiting for the bad witches or padlocks to move out of the shadows and confront them. Or, like Gwen, having that bit of fear that whatever was going on would cause Arthur to disappear.
This book offers so much. Arthur’s love for Gwen and their centuries old connection. Gwen’s best friend who accepts that she is a witch and also believes and supports her. Even with hating Matthew adds a little something extra to the story. Part of the fun is not only “who dunnit?” , but “why”?
I am really looking forward to the next book in the series. This book can be read as a standalone, but I think it was much more enjoyable being read in order.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received from the author.
5 Star review A Knight To Remember (The Avalon Cafe #3) by Hermione Moon
Hermione Moon is a relatively new author to me. This is a cozy mystery that I found thoroughly entertaining and I was captivated by the story that Ms.Moon wove as I tried to guess what was going to happen and who the guilty party was.
There were surprises and quite a few twists and turns as witch Gwen Young and King Arthur become involved in yet another mystery.
These characters are engaging and you cannot help but become invested as you try to follow the clues and solve the mystery before Gwen and her friends do. I am loving the direction that Ms.Moon is going with this series and cannot wait to read more.
A Knight to Remember by Hermione Moon, book three in The Avalon Café series, was another delightful and intriguing story. Once again Gwen Young finds herself involved in the disappearance and murder of an art student of her aunt’s. Once again she has the help of “King” Arthur and her dog Merlin. With Arthur alive, in physical form, Gwen helps him adjust to modern life as they explore her town and outlying areas, looking for clues as to the killer. This time, their past and their future is somehow tied to this case. Ms. Moon created a story that is full of enchantment, legends, along with the perfect mix of suspense, romance and magic. I was so caught up in the story that I kept reading, finishing this book in one sitting. I highly recommend A Knight to Remember to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.

A Knight to Remember by Hermione Moon
The Avalon Café #3
Gwen and Arthur, yes…King Arthur back from the past in modern form is well met with the woman he was with long ago, his Guinevere. That Gwen has a rescue dog, also reincarnated, with special abilities and ties to Arthur, is just a bonus. With a great introduction at the beginning of this story that helps set the stage and catch the reader up this book is easily a standalone story although I highly recommend reading the previous two books because they were just that good!
What I liked:
* Gwen: a likable kitchen witch who plies her craft at home and in the Avalon Café. She has visions that lead her to solving cozy mysteries.
* Arthur: a hunk and a half that has enough of the past warrior and leader he once was that added with his kisses have Gwen’s toes curling and her heart pitter patting.
* Merlin: a canine with special abilities that I wish I could hear speak
* The supporting characters – all of them
* The hints of the past when Arthur knew Guinevere
* The hints of what might happen in the future
* The paranormal and magical aspects of the story
* The solving of who the murderer was in cozy mystery cases
* Wondering at the end of the story what will happen next.
* Knowing there is another story to read about Gwen and Arthur
What I did not like:
* The bad guy(s)
* Having to say good by for awhile to the people in this book
Did I enjoy this story? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review
5 Stars
This is not my usual genre in books: witchcraft, cozy mysteries and reincarnation. But Hermione Moon makes it all work so very well, as her alter-ego Serenity Woods always does. I love her books. The third in the Knight series is just as fun, romantic and creative as the first two, but there is more witchcraft, suspense and legend in this tale. The coven of witches known as Morgana’s Sisters is up to evil spells, power and murder again, but their power and evil are becoming more apparent now, and the existence of a very sinister leader is becoming apparent. But who is he and why is he trying to destroy the reawakened King Arthur? The heroine, Gwen is panicked that Arthur will be taken away from her just as they are falling in love and just as she is getting visions of her past life as Arthur’s first love Guinevere. With the help of her rescue dog Merlin, who is also a reincarnated character from Arthur’s past, they hunt for the clues to help them stop this coven from murdering more people. The book is enchanting, suspenseful, mysterious and yet humorous and unique. You do not have to read the first two books, but do yourself a favor and enjoy all three! I volunteered to read and review an early copy of the book because I could not wait for the release date!
Hermione Moon has yet again outdone herself with the third installment of her Avalon Café series. Gwen and Arthur’s relationship deepens, but before they can move forward they need to solve another murder and find out what magic is affecting Arthur. As always, the story is well told and a page turner and I read it from start to finish in one go, only putting it down for essential trips to the kitchen and bathroom.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I loved this book so much! OH MY GOSH! This book is the best one in the series so far!!!
I love reading about past lives so this book is right up my alley.
My favorite part is the scene in Merlin’s cave.
This series just keeps getting better and better. I am so anxious for the next book.
Another engaging read!
Book 3 of this series and whilst there is a catch-up at the front of the book I think readers will enjoy it more if they have read the first two books but fear not, it can be read as a standalone.
Poor Gwen seems to be becoming a magnet for murders to happen around her but this time she has a vision where she is in the victim’s body, feeling her thoughts and seeing through those eyes the murder take place. Unfortunately she doesn’t know enough about where the murder took place and there isn’t a body. However when her aunt shows her a photo of a missing artist and she recognises the woman, Gwen and Arthur start to investigate.
I am thoroughly enjoying this series and I loved the solution that Gwen came up with to enable Arthur to get hold of identification papers. I am already looking forward to the next book and the furthering of Gwen and Arthur’s relationship.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The Avalon Cafe books are standalone books of mystery, a kitchen witch, other paranormal characters and gentle romance. Beloved characters are found within the pages of the books, most notably Gwen and Arther (reincarnated “King” Arther and his Guinevere). In A Knight to Remember, there is a vision of a murder, a missing person and black shadows, bonds, hiding in the mists and storms. I am intrigued and drawn further with each book to discover what will happen to Gwen and her dear Arther (and her “dog” Merlin). Bravo!!
