Marvelous escapism for a snuggly winter evening by the fireplace….
Couldn’t stop reading! Great reading.
The writer know how to keep the story together and the characters relevant to the story.. the story was not jumping around from one time to another, which i was very grateful.
Lucy goes on a trip to England with Simon, Lord Blackford. She might love him but wants to see how he acts in his home country before she decides. Oh, what a surprise Simon has for Lucy! This is a wonderful, clean, exciting romance story. I’m on to the next one!
I read to escape reality. It doesn’t matter to me if things are a little out of kilter and the characters act immature sometimes. What matters is if I enjoy the story and the characters. I enjoyed this story and the characters.
The dialog was terrible, but the premise was interesting. If you can get the books for free is okay. Don’t pay for it!
I enjoyed reading this time travel romance.
I liked this book.
Loved!!!! I would read it again!
Great time travel book!
love the book
I enjoyed this book very much although sometimes I get lost in what is happening, the scenes seem to shift to one point to the other very quickly at times.
The characters are good, I would have liked to get to know them a bit better though.
In general, I have to say I liked it and bought the second and third part, so lets see how it continues.
I’ve been accused of being to harsh on some of the authors I’ve read. With that in mind, I’m going to try to be a kinder, gentler, reviewer. No promises though.
Cynthia Luhr’s first book in the Merriweather series is a quickly paced, easy on the brain read. Provided glaring grammatical errors, the constant use of the word “poop,” and completely unoriginal names for secondary characters (brothers Osbert Norbert-really?) don’t make your skin crawl.
Luhrs’ research into 14th century England is decent enough, far better than some others I’ve read, but her characters other than Lucy, seem two dimensional. Even Lucy’s boyfriend at the start of the book is so underdeveloped, Gordon Ramsay would have accused her of serving him up raw. Aside from two other secondary characters, the rest, including her knight in tarnished armor, are mere plot devices.
With regards to the editing, I assumed Luhrs did it herself until I saw the acknowledgment to Editing720. With the claim of being one of USA Today’s best selling authors, I suggest Luhrs splurge on either a better editing package from Editing720, or better yet, hire a better editor.
If you’re looking for mindless fluff to read while waiting, or to clear your head before turning in for the night, A Knight To Remember is tailor made for you. If you want fully developed characters and plot, keep looking.
The book is beautiful written. The story is entertaining and you can imagine the characters. Great fun to read.
I like a good Time Traveling romance every once in a while and this is a good one. I like the characters and it had a good flow to the story.
Excellent book. Love Medieval stories and time travel. Glad William and Lucy had their HEA. Lots of twist and turns. Can’t wait to hear about their baby.
a captivating time travel well worth reading…
