Sophie was on her way to the Highlands in Scotland when a broken carriage wheel delays her. Brice is a Laird and is expected to get engaged to a family friend. When Sophie and Brice meet he starts questioning his feelings for Sophie and his lack of feeling for the women he is expected to wed.
Tamara Gill writing always has the time fly by. This is a smooth easy romantic read, with some heat. You will enjoy this.
I received an advance copy of this book for my honest review.

My review:
Due to a fortuitous wheel’s break, a english miss meets a Laird, yet will their attraction be enough when duty calls …
I love the fast paced novellas Mrs Tamara Gill’s talented pen delivers without fault, her characters are far from perfect but they live life at the fullest.
Sophie has come from nearly being a destitute commoner to be the sister-in-law of a marquess. Yet she adjusted rather well to her new society’s place, but she also refuses to let her past and friends behind because her circumstances changed.
Brice must fulfill a promise made to his parents, if only he could feel something for the woman he will have to wed. And above all to feel nothing for the estranged Miss now haunting his thoughts.
From the beginning, they know their time is short, each having to go their separate way. It was without counting on their hearts and their own will.
When Sophie jumps openly in their “courtship”, Brice knows he plays a dangerous game, walking on a thin line, risking to loose more than he had bargained.
Their burgeoning romance is sizzling, their chemistry scorching hot, and whatever they do to avoid each other’s presence or reason themselves about their attrait, they are drawn to one another.
Still, will it be enough to face all the issues facing them.
4.5 stars for this sensual read of an undeniable love.
I was granted an advance copy by the author, and prior to it, preordered my own.
Here is my true and unbiased opinion.
