“[Leine Basso] is a sassy, kick-arse, no-nonsense, I’ll-eat-your-balls-for-breakfast type of woman. She simply rocks. Berkom’s books are ones when you almost forget to breathe. They’re fast-paced, taut with tension and sheer joy from start to finish.” ~Cath’n’Kindle Book Reviews
“[A Killing Truth] introduces one of modern fiction’s deadliest heroes…” ~Reviewer Charles A. Ray
“This is my third Leine Basso, and like the others, the action never lets up. Leine is the female Jack Reacher only she does it all without being 6’5” and weighing 265 pounds, so that makes her more incredible. If you like page-turners, you’ll love this book.” ~ Polly Iyer, bestselling suspense author
“A Killing Truth would make an excellent introduction to D.V. Berkom’s writing…she’s one of my favorites… love how she just puts you right in the pages and you just don’t want to end.” ~Hornfan2
“The Leine Basso series by DV Berkom is jam-packed with action and adventure and Leine Basso is one bad*** protagonist…” Fundinmental Book Reviews
“As someone who has read all of the other current Leine Basso books first, I can say that A Killing Truth had me in suspense the entire time.” Maranda, Amazon Reviewer
“Non-stop twists and turns. An excellent thriller that pits Leine against not only international criminals but her own boss.” ~USMC-Mike
“What the world needs now is more female characters like bad ass Leine Basso. Bought the trio of books that follow this one because of how much I enjoyed the plot and twists along the way.” ~shzann

Loves this book. The strong kiss ass lead character is engaging
Fast paced, short. Lots of action and some mystery. A messy end more true to life than fairy land conclusions, with a twist. Some things were allowed to just wander off instead of being tied up in a nice bow. That’s good. Perhaps I somehow missed the planting of C4. That did not make sense to me. But the rest followed logic.
A Killing Truth – a review by Rosemary Kenny
D.V. Berkom’s, A Killing Truth sees assassin-for-hire Leine Basso, (aka Léopard) Calos, her partner, in more than crime and their friend and ‘back-up’ man Lou, become targets, after a mission goes wrong. When Leine’s sent alone on two concurrent hits, she has more than her targets to worry about.
Has their boss, Eric, betrayed them?
How is he more personally related to Leine?
Who is Ilya – and whose side is he on when the chips are down?
Twist and turn about, the cunning, psychological dramatic plot of A Killing Truth, by the amazing D.V. Berkom, coils its way so smoothly into your psyche, that you’re totally immersed up to the eyeballs before you realise it, in what will happen to Leine in the near future and going forwards.
Will she survive the maelstrom of guilt, love and yearning for forgiveness, that overwhelms her after revelations strike her down emotionally?

I loved this book, it was a wonderful read. I read it in one sitting! The writing is fabulous, I felt the author sat next to me and was telling me the story. I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my voluntary review.
Leine and Carlos are both assassins, who increasingly feel like their boss is up to something shady. Heading off on separate missions, they both feel uneasy, but leave anyway to do their jobs, as required. Unfortunately Carlos goes missing and Leine’s job doesn’t go to plan at all.
I really enjoyed this introduction to the series. It drew me in from page one, and I can’t wait to read more of Leine’s story. A great read!
One of my favorite authors–great book. Several surprises in the book.
I received an advance ARC from the author for my review and I also purchased it from amazon.com.
With ‘A Killing Truth’, D.V. Berkom gives you everything but the kitchen sink, the Prequel has it all and although the ending bummed me out.
This was my style of book, love the fast pace, dig the tension filled moments, like all the action filled drama, full of suspense, your almost on a roller coaster with all the twists and turns, excellent cast of characters and a conclusion that I would have done different.
Leine Basso’s on a hit in Eastern Europe, when she realizes that Igor Glushenko knows what’s about to happen and she’s been set up. Luckly her boyfriend Carlos creating a diversion, that enables her to escape, by shooting her way out and killing three would be assissins.
Carlos makes her aware that their boss Eric, trying to set them up to kill them and has hidden away evidence of it. You’ll have to read it to know the rest of the story but I will say that the ending kind of easy and I would have had the two doing a hit on Eric.
Have them realize, one was being sent after the other. So they team up, then go after Eric take him out were he knows they did it, without other witnesses and feed him to the Sharks off ther Carolina coast.
A Killing Truth would make an excellent introduction to D.V. Berkom’s writing, she one of my favorites, love how she just puts you right in the pages and you just don’t want to end.

Fast paced action novel, a good read.
Leine Basso is an assassin working for the government. This is another thrill ride, page turning and action packed novel.
A kick ass female that gets the job done. I was not able to put this one down until I finished.
Enjoyed it as much as “Cargo.” Plenty of action and tightly written.
