READ THE SENSATIONAL BLOCKBUSTER THAT STARTED IT ALL! Take it from the top in #1 New York Times bestselling author Sue Grafton’s knockout thriller that introduced detective Kinsey Millhone–and a hot new attitude–to crime fiction… A IS FOR AVENGER A tough-talking former cop, private investigator Kinsey Millhone has set up a modest detective agency in a quiet corner of Santa Teresa, … agency in a quiet corner of Santa Teresa, California. A IS FOR ACCUSED
That’s why she draws desperate clients like Nikki Fife. Eight years ago, she was convicted of killing her philandering husband. Now she’s out on parole and needs Kinsey’s help to find the real killer. But after all this time, clearing Nikki’s bad name won’t be easy.
A IS FOR ALIBI

A great start to a series that only gets better and better.
Read the whole series. Always waiting for the next book. Hoping Sue keeps the series going after the Z book
Oh my goodness, I love a good detective novel, I love good characters and I love a punching ending. It had it all. I couldn’t wait to read the next novels in the series. None were a disappointment. I will be sad when she reaches Z.
I’ve read nearly all of the alphabet series. I found the characters refreshing and realistic. The story lines are original and real page turners. I whole heatedly recommend this series.
Grafton’s books are exciting and interesting to read. One of my favorite authors.
I have read every one of her books and re-read them. Recommend them to lots of people. Was saddened to hear of her passing.
Immediately searched out another block-buster by Sue Grafton, and told all my friends and family about her books.
Definitely the start of something good. Entertaining and fun
As with any of Sue Grafton’s mysteries, she puts together a series of apparently unrelated events to expertly solve the puzzle. As it all comes together her books will not let you stop reading before you come to the very last page.
It was my first book by author but I was never disappointed in future books by same author!it kept my interest wanting to keep reading.
This is a great series if you like mysteries. It’s a light quick read, holding your interest but not requiring a lot of concentration. Grafton does interesting and well-rounded characters and tells a good story.
I liked all of her books especially the number ones.
A great introduction to Kinsey Mulhone, Grafton’s lead character. Excellent character development, love that Kinsey can laugh at herself! A really good mystery!
Love her books
It’s been too long ago and too many books in between, so only know that I enjoy reading her books. Sorry, I can’t help you with anythig.
The first of Sue Grafton’s alphabet series and the one that got me hooked..!
Read these books in order. Ms. Grafton is learning to craft and Mackenzie is developed as well as later books. You need to read this though and follow.
A great series
