In New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Kresley Cole’s sizzling series, a fierce werewolf and a bewitching vampire become unlikely soul mates whose passion will test the boundaries of life and death. After enduring years of torture from the vampire horde, Lachlain MacRieve, leader of the Lykae Clan, is enraged to find the predestined mate he’s waited millennia for is a vampire. Or … is a vampire. Or partly one. Emmaline Troy is a small, ethereal half Valkyrie/half vampire, who somehow begins to soothe the fury burning within him.
Sheltered Emmaline finally sets out to uncover the truth about her deceased parents–until a powerful Lykae claims her as his mate and forces her back to his ancestral Scottish castle. There, her fear of the Lykae–and their notorious dark desires–ebbs as he begins a slow, wicked seduction to sate her own dark cravings.
Yet when an ancient evil from her past resurfaces, will their desire deepen into a love that can bring a proud warrior to his knees and turn a gentle beauty into the fighter she was born to be?

Don’t think I’ll ever get the images in the shower scene out of my head, and I don’t want to spoil it for you, either. Loved the characters, and, as usual, spiced up with humor which reads like smacktalk in a SEAL book. Loved it from cover to cover.
This is another paranormal romantic suspense series I believe sets the bar for other commercial stories like it. This whole series is like crack except without the hangover (I assume. I’ve never actually done crack). Read it! Now! Oh, and just for the record, I want to be Regin the Radiant when I grow up.
I LOVED this book. I read it back when it first came out in 2006 before anybody knew Kresley Cole was going to be big in PNR. I read it 5 times over the years and recently listened to the audio version. (I highly recc the audio version. The narrator, Robert Pektoff is FABULOUS). I’m not sure what it is about this book but it was just so perfect …
This a get you at the first page type of book. I love the author, the storyline and characters. I have read most of her books, especially if in the serious.
This entire series is phenomenal. Nobody quite does alpha males like Cole!
A Hunger Like No Other was the first paranormal romance book I ever read, and I fell hard. Cole writes bold, sexy, and with a humor that evens out horror elements and elevates her character’s emotions.
I love the entire Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole. Has anyone who loves paranormal romance really NOT read this series yet? If not, you need to start. Right now. Trust me on this. 🙂
Kresley Cole is one of my favorite authors. This Immortals After Dark series is my top favorite. You have a roller coaster of emotions with her writing. Emmaline and Lachlain are another odd couple that makes it work. All of her Immortals After Dark characters make you want to meet them and hang out with them awhile. I would LOVE to see more books …
This is one of my all time favourite books from one of my my all time favourite series. I read and re-read plus I listened and re-listened to it several times. It never fails to touch my heart and always leaves me with a smile.
I normally prefer reading over listening, but this series is an exception. Robert Petkoff’s narration is absolutely …
Kresley Cole has not failed me yet. This is one of the best series I haver ever read. Absolutely loved this book!
It took a while to get into this book. The male protagonist, the werewolf, is so against the thought of the female vampire being his mate. He’s not all that nice to her and is still majorly screwed up over being tortured for 150 years by the vampires. But about a third of the way into the book, he starts to come around and the romantic feelings …
This is the first of the Immortality books by this author and i really enjoy them. Some books are vetted than others but this being the first was fantastic and set the tone for some wild characters and great story telling. There are werewolves, vampires, faeries, witches, and any number of other worldly creatures that will make you laugh, cry, …
I love this series so much that.
If you’re a fan of supernatural, steamy couples, bad boys and tough girls then you’ll have an amazing time reading this.
Outstanding beginning to what promises to be an enthralling series. We have heroes that aren’t always good, a timid heroine that likes to hide under the bed, yet learns that even pain is a matter of perception. And learns that what terrified her yesterday, is barely a hiccup today. The most wicked of the villains can have a moment of regret or …
No wonder this book have won so many awards, and is a favourite among many fans of this series, “A Hunger like No Other” was a fabulous book! Wow and wow.I am deeply shocked at what i encountered while reading this (OH MY FUCKING GOD) story. This romance. This passionate, fervent, mighty Love-Story between a lykae and a half Valkyrie/half vampire …
This is one of my absolute favorite series and I recommend it if you like paranormal. This series all kinds of paranormal creatures/characters.
I’m sure many will say I’m late to the game on this one. I’ve been hearing a lot about the Immortals After Dark series the last couple of years, but never actually got around to reading any of the books until now. I’m kind of a Twitter lurker. I don’t say a lot, but I keep up quite a bit on what’s happening in the book world (and the world in …
The Immortals After Dark is one of my all time favourite series!!! epicness within the pages..
this book belongs to the best series I have ever read Immortals After Dark
This book was a good continuation of the 1st book. The world of the valkyries and the lore is very interesting and proceeds to get more complicated in this book. I enjoyed reading this book and I am enjoying the series. At times she really annoyed me because of how wishy-washy she was. This was a re read because when I went to the 3rd book I …
