While trying to come to terms with an injury … with an injury that cost him the freedom to soar without limits in the sky, he meets and is instantly attracted to the young single mom.
Can a man raised without affection find love in the arms of a woman burned by love? And as their attraction and sparks fly, will they find the strength to cope with a threat to their family?
This is a short, 20k word novella full of slightly grumpy shifter dudes and the women who love them.

A Home For Her Hawk is book four in the Shifter Special Forces series and I loved it as much as the first three books. Dan is a Hawk shifter and ex special forces. Kimber is a single mom and Hunter’s sister. Hunter is from Her Broken Bear book two in this series. This is a sweet love story with two broken people who support each other and are perfect together. I am looking forward to reading more books in the Shifter Special Forces series.
A beautiful and well written story that you should take the time to read. I know that this book is a part of a series, but I haven’t read the ones before it, yet I was still able to get the whole story by itself. The characters were described and depicted at realistic specimens and you can’t help but feel for their predicaments. If there was one thing that I didn’t like reading in this story, it was the advent of Wayne. His character is the antithesis of all of the other ones that were so emotionally satisfying, but I guess if you need someone to hate in a story, he fits that bill perfectly. I loved the way that Kimber overcame her predicament and still kept an open heart. It was a really sweet story that was not over the top in any way but was just nice to read.
My Thoughts – 5 out of 5 Unicorns – I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I bought this book, and I own the whole series so far!
The cover is awesome! I love birds of prey!
This is the 4th book in this series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content. While not required, I would read all the books in order, so you know the world and the characters because it makes it more amazing! This is a quick read and only about 75 pages long.
Kimber is Hunter’s sister, and she is a single mom. She is feeling overwhelmed as a new mom and like she is a burden to their community. Daniel has his own issues due to losing one of his eyes. They both have emotional baggage, but they are drawn to each other. This was a page turner, and I like the nice things that Daniel does for Kimber. There is a little excitement, but it is most just them trying to get to know each other while working through their issues. I related to Kimber being a single mom, and it felt real. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.
I highly recommend to any shifter fan who wants a quick read about military shifters who need some happiness! Awesome series!
OK – Dan is about the sweetest book boyfriend. Sure he seems like a tough ex-shifter special forces, with his eye patch, but he is to date the sweetest, most loving and caring shifter in Maxwell’s mountains. He falls head over heels for the single Mom Kimber and her little baby boy Anthony. Granted Dan needs his self-confidence to be built up, he doesn’t think that he is worthy of Kimber. But he’s wrong and she gives him the chance to prove himself and show he’s willing to stick around for Kimber and Anthony. She has been burnt before and is more than willing to do everything herself until Dan and the others in Maxwell’s Mountains make her realize that she doesn’t have to. The shifters and their mates make her realize that they are family, even though in an nontraditional way, they support each other. Great Read! I adore these shifters and the paths that lead them to their mates!
