Feeling like the fifth wheel all the time can get really frustrating. Claire knows how this feels and to top it off, whenever there’s a gathering of family and friends, she’s paired with the one guy she’s had a crush on for years. The problem is, he doesn’t see it or her as anything more than a friend. So, what does she do? She plans to drastically change her life. Can this be the answer to her problem, or will it cause more problems in the end?
I loved this book! The book was full of fun crazy moments, but also sweet loving moments, too. This story was fun and enjoyable to read. I loved the banter between the two main characters and the way the whole story flowed together. I know I’m now going to go back and read all the previous books in this cute series.
Elizabeth Maddrey is a gifted author, and her books always bring a smile to my face.
If you enjoy romance and fun books then you’ll like this story.
I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Is it too late for a second chance?
My rating is 4.5 stars
It’s hard to believe so many books have already been released in the Peacock Hill series! I have enjoyed getting to know this group of friends.
This time, Claire gets to have her turn at romance. Deidre and Duncan’s younger sister has been enamored with Danny almost since she met him, and yet, as far as she can tell, he isn’t interested in the least. Determined to move on from what appears to be a hopeless infatuation, Claire determines to move away and move on. And then when one of the foundations of her life is shaken, she isn’t quite sure what to believe.
Danny knows what it’s like to have turned his back on God. So when Matt reminds him of what God rescued him from, it is the awakening he needs. As he begins to get his focus adjusted, he begins to see the jewel Claire is in his life. Just in time to watch her begin to step away.
Elizabeth Maddrey has again written a thought-provoking story that deals with heart issues that are important for believers to consider. Purity. Trust. Prayer. Hope. The manner in which the friends exhorted each other, encouraged one another to purity, bore one another’s burdens was inspiring. I appreciated the way she used scripture accurately to illustrate her point and was careful to not pull it out of context or simply use it as a platitude.
Readers who appreciate a focus on spiritual matters in their fiction will enjoy the Peacock Hill series. Each story is complete in itself though the experience is enhanced by reading them in order.

I was given a copy of this book. I was not required to give a favorable review nor was any money received for this review. All comments and opinions are my own.
I have loved all the books set a Peacock Hill. Finally Claire and Danny get their story in A Heart Reconsidered. There are several confused, mixed up characters who are no listening to God. In this book, they have to work through those issues. The book stands alone but is even better if you have read the others first. I am sorry to see the series end. .These people have become extended family. Fans of clean romance should really enjoy this book!
