The Missing Love LInk is full of surprises and mysteries waiting to be unraveled. Rosie and LInk are both very likeable characters and I found myself cheering them on, holding my breath and sitting on the edge of my seat more than once while I read their story. Nothing is as it seems – both Rosie and LInk discover they are capable of things they never dreamed they could do as love literally reshapes their lives. It’s also fun to see what Scott and LIz are up to as the book progresses. You’ll be drawn in by the unexpected and mesmerized by the many ways true love changes everything. A fun read with a very satisfying surprise ending.

Rosie Flores was congratulating Liz on the wonderful life she had, moving into a new house, a fantastic magic-wielding husband from another dimension, a baby on the way, and a terrific dog! Scott had even said he might try to teach his wife some basic magic using Earth’s elemental energy since he believed she might have Tualan blood in her ancestry based on her memories. Scott invited Rosie to their housewarming party, and Liz told her Link would be there. Rosie had been drawn to the handsome man who was Scott’s friend. Maybe he had some magic in him too?
Link and his brother joined the pack to hunt. Link was different than the rest – bigger than the Alpha, faster than all of them, could shift without having to run while doing so, and was a different shade of gray. He could also resist the Alpha’s commanding compulsion, but he didn’t let the rest know that.
Rosie took a call from Elgin Prescott who was looking to borrow $50 million for a luxury treehouse project by the Catskills. He had selected the builder already, Lincoln’s Luxury Log Cabins or L3C. He would be buying 150 acres for 100 1-acre plots and a clause about protecting the local wolves. Rosie had a Texas venture capitalist who was environment-friendly and might fund this. To sell this strange project, she would first talk to L3C so she could answer the investor’s potential questions. Looking L3C up on the internet, she couldn’t believe it! Scott’s handsome friend was the owner of L3C, Lincoln Edgewater! Her call to Markson Rothschild, the venture capitalist, went better than expected. She was to send the proposal, he would send his project manager, Nichole Childress, to meet with the client and visit the proposed site, and if she approved, they would close the deal within two weeks. Not only would Rosie make a substantial profit, but she would get to spend more time with and get to know Link better!
Eating a hot dog on a bench in Central Park, Rosie never noticed the handsome man who sat down beside her until he asked if she was Scott and Liz’s friend, Rosie. Link affected her in a way no one had before. As they talked, he wanted to show her what the treehouses were really like, so she agreed to go with him. The one she visited was like a gorgeous penthouse inside. She had no idea three trees were holding that massive structure up. Maybe this new project would turn out better than she had expected! But on the way home, in the middle of nowhere, a coolant hose split and the car engine overheated. They would be spending the night in the woods. Would this give the city girl a chance to experience life in nature? They came from different environments where Rosie thought the only green should exist in salads, far different surroundings than these woods. Could they appreciate each other and maybe start a relationship and a life together?
This was a different kind of shifter book, with a touch of alien magic. Very clever idea and well implemented. The city vs country vibe was also a cute addition. Grab your copy and see what’s in store for the characters. There is much more coming in this story that you won’t want to miss.
Rosie has knowledge of Tuala from her friendship with Liz. When she meets Link, she make a connection, but more secrets may endanger them both. I enjoyed this novel and recommend the entire series.
