I found this to be a quirky story but full of ideas about the positive choices that can be made in your later years if a person is willing to try something new. I genuinely liked this novel.
Ads kept emphasizing how funny this book was, but I did not find it that amusing. Instead, it was poignant. Some of the characters were stereotypes, but the protagonist and her son were well drawn
I absolutely loved this book and could not put it down. I was laughing out loud in the middle of the night. I would love to read anything by Judy Leigh
Life begins in your 70s, or begins anew, if you take a chance on new adventure. The main character, Evi, is a brave old lady who escapes the old folks’ home and ventures forth into a brave new beginning. She has her “mama’s boy” son to contend with, and he has problems of his own to deal with. Good insights on family life, aging, and living with a purpose.
I loved this book, the best I’ve read in a good while. I hated for it to end. I hope for more books by the same writer
