RECOMMENDED FOR READERS 18 AND OLDER DUE TO STRONG LANGUAGE, SEXUAL SITUATIONS AND VIOLENCE.
Book 3 of 3 in the Nine Minutes Trilogy.
A Gift of Time is the third installment in the Nine Minutes Trilogy. It is not intended to be a stand-alone novel, but could be read as one. Still, I highly recommend that you read my first two novels, Nine Minutes and Out of Time, to be able to understand the … to understand the background stories of the main characters. There are many twists and turns in both books that can best be connected if read consecutively.
Are some secrets meant to stay buried?
Three months have passed since Jason “Grizz” Talbot was put to death by lethal injection for crimes he committed. His former wife, Ginny, whom he had abducted from a convenience store when she was a teenager and became the love obsession of his life, has spent more than the last decade trying to carve out a life of normalcy in the bustling suburbs of Fort Lauderdale—including a thriving and happy marriage to Tommy “Grunt” Dillon, a former member of Grizz’s gang.
Tired of the secrets and the lies, Ginny and Tommy thought the final piece of their past could be left behind forever with Grizz’s execution. However, the past comes crashing around Ginny and Tommy when a newly discovered secret threatens to destroy their marriage.
When tragedy strikes, Ginny is forced to reach into her heart and decide, once and for all, what she really wants.
In this third book in the Nine Minutes trilogy, A Gift of Time takes readers from the busy tropical metropolis of South Florida into the serenity of the North Carolina Blue Ridge mountains as Ginny chases down the answers she needs.
Will she have the strength to confront the secrets of her past…and her heart?

Great book from the first page to the last page
The conclusion to a trilogy that captured my heart (and won’t let go)!
I absolutely love the characters, Grizz and Kit (Ginny), and it’s a sad event that enables these two characters to have their HEA.
As Beth Flynn did in the other two novels the story unfolds through flashbacks to times ranging from the 1950s to the present with POVs of several characters.
The Nine Minutes trilogy is sooo good and has become one of my all time favorites and I’m distressed to realize that my vocabulary and writing skills are inadequate to share how truly wonderful this love story, or love stories, is!
In this trilogy Grizz and Grunt, both members of the Satan’s Army MC, both love Ginny (Kit), a teenage girl abducted and given to the leader of Satan’s Army which is good news for Grizz because he is the leader. The first book is told largely from Kit’s POV. The second and third books are told from all three POVs along with insights from other characters who are involved in the story.
Through these three books we are told the two love stories that unfolded. Tommy (Grunt) and Ginny’s love story from start to finish and the love story between Grizz and Kit that begins in the 1970s and after experiencing a time apart (the time of Tommy & Gin’s story) is reunited and continues.
This trilogy is not a racy story filled with sex scenes. There is only one detailed sex scene that takes place near the end between a lawfully married Grizz and Kit.
This story is truly about love in many forms and how faith gives you the strength needed to ensure hardships to find your true place in this world. For two lost souls like Grizz and Kit this trilogy ends with a HEA surrounded by the love of God and family.
I highly recommend the Nine Minutes trilogy. Once you start reading Beth Flynn’s words I believe you’ll be as engrossed in Kit’s story as I am.
I loved book 1, fell out of love with book 2, and unfortunately I don’t think I fell back in love with book 3. I don’t like the constant back and forth from present to past, there was just too much going on again, too many points of view that meant nothing to the story over all. However, I did love Grunt. I was team Grunt all the way and that didn’t change, even after the change in this book. I don’t think I ever liked Grizz, but I could tolerate him in this book. He had redemption, I guess.
If you like a dark and twisted tale, that had a few over the top scenes, then this is a series for you.
5*
Grizz has now faced the lethal injection and kit is still struggling to come to terms he’s gone.
Tommy is still trying to be her number 1 as has always been his goal. The jealousy he had knowing Grizz loved her when he wanted her is beginning to settle. However things are still stirring truths coming to light.
I was hooked on this series from book 1 and couldn’t put it down. Fantastic series definitely recommend
A Gift of Time picks up where Out of Time left us, which was desperately needing to know who lives and who dies, and WHY was Ginny wearing the blue bandana!!!!! Rest assure you will get all your answers and more in this highly addictive final book. Be prepared to go through a gamut of emotions as Ginny sorts through her life and the feelings she has for the men who own a piece of her heart. More truths are revealed, and in the end we find that life has a funny way of bringing things full circle, just as they were always meant to be. This book was bittersweet for me, because I knew it meant the end of a journey for Ginny, Grizz, and Tommy. Characters I have grown to love and will deeply miss. But I couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion. This series will forever own a piece of my heart, as well as the author, Beth Flynn.
Once again this book is recommended for readers 18+ due to violence strong language and sexual situations.
This book will take you on the ride of a lifetime. Jump into this book while Grizz and Ginny take the ride of life through a twisted path of loss, love, and forgiveness.
Totally loved this series and hope Ms. Flynn has another book or two up her sleeve!!
This series deserves the constellation of stars that Grizz showed Ginny from his telescope !
Time is a real gift , Ginny, because its one thing you can never get back
After all the wanderings and searchings the Two hearts had done over the years, they have come back together.
They have finally found Home.
The story is immortal. King Grizz (Arthur) is in love with his Queen , Guinevere Love Lemon, yet he is set up by Tommy Dillon (Lancelot) , who’s in love with the Queen. But Beth brings a twist when Tommy/Grunt rises above his traumatic childhood and personal hatred to transform into a loving and perfect Dad to Mimi and Jason. The story meanders and involves a total turnabout of the direction for Grizz, Grunt And Ginny.
Firstly ,Let me start by saying that chapter 37 …………shattered my heart into a million pieces.
His insistence that she wear the Blue Bandana to prompt her into choosing one …………. i have no words!!!
I cant do it any more Ginny. I dont want to do anymore honey. You neeed to have Grizz come to you so you can figure out your heart
This is not a simple story. Its a journey of The Man and His Woman. Along their journey through life they meet 100s of people who watch them grow, tear apart, go through love, pain, hardships and travails. All these people are meticulously documented and their backgrounds explained. Their actions and consequences are minutely explored . Despite a multitude of cast, no thread is left loose. None of the actions, however small and trivial, left unexplained . That shows her vastness of imagination……………….or observation first hand !!!!!!
I’ve walked behind Grizz and Kit, in their footsteps, heard their conversations, looked at their life, rode on their bikes, cried for them, died with them and smiled for them .
Its a fireside narration of a timeless saga of love , the narrator being beth and me being in a hypnotic trance listening to the summation of two lives spanning decades . Her acute sense of detail.and sequence of timeline somehow sparks a suspicion that its more fact than fiction.
To say that I’ve been touched by the story is an understatement of the century!!.
The characters are immortalised ,The words are engraved in my heart and I’ve come out on the other side , maybe cleansed , maybe broken.
Its once in a lifetime story that shall stay with me forever. We as readers are indebted to her for letting us glimpse into the life of The Man called Grizz and His Woman , Kit.
As for Grunt/Tommy, he is a tragic prince. Forced to stand in the wings waiting patiently for the tide to turn. Playing people like chess but he rises in the end to the challenge of being Ginny’s protector. His sacrifice absolves him and redeems him.
Beth touches upon all the contemporary subjects in this elaborate story. Homosexuality , gender change, tragic world events , modernisation of the world , and a No Name Group have been “Illuminati-ed”
She is a writer , an author, an artist. But to me she is the Queen of Indie world !!!
