Serena Jones has a passion for recovering lost and stolen art–one that’s surpassed only by her zeal to uncover the truth about the art thief who murdered her grandfather. She’s joined the FBI Art Crime Team with the secret hope that one of her cases will lead to his killer. Now, despite her mother’s pleas to do something safer–like get married–Serena’s learning how to go undercover to catch … thieves and black market traders.
When a local museum discovers an irreplaceable Monet missing, Jones leaps into action. The clues point in different directions, and her boss orders her to cease investigating her most promising suspect. But determined to solve the case and perhaps discover another clue in her grandfather’s murder, she pushes ahead, regardless of the danger.
With spunk, humor, and plenty of heart-stopping moments, Sandra Orchard gives readers an exciting string of cases to crack and a character they’ll love to watch solve them.

Characters: The main character, Serena, was very relatable. She wasn’t the super experienced law enforcement officer so often found in books. She was new at her job and still learning how to do things. Also, the author put a lot of time into making the side characters interesting.
Language: Clean.
Moral: It must’ve slipped my mind …
Plot: This book had an intricate plot given that it was a mystery, but it wasn’t intricate enough that I couldn’t follow along.
Romance: Clean. Actually, the romance is basically non-existent. This is the first book of a trilogy, and the romance develops over the course of the next two books.
Writing: I enjoyed the first-person POV and found it fit the book and Serena well.
Overall: I’m giving this book four stars. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys Christian suspense/mysteries.
This was an enjoyable mystery. I found it fascinating to read about a white collar branch of law enforcement. There were a few suspects and I did have to put on my thinking cap to work out who the thief was.
This book had just the right amount of romance packed in with this mystery-thriller. Serene Jones is a relatable character who truly does have it hard having to choose between two extremely charming and endearing men. This page-turning book had me at the edge of my seat at times and I can’t wait to continue this wonderful series by the talented Canadian author Sandra Orchard!
This story of a female FBI art agent kept me on my toes, with humor sprinkled in. It was a fun read.
Changes is a easy story to read about Diane and fiancée that go into a bar in a small town near Boston and see an old fashion jukebox. She is fascinated by this magical box. After putting in a quarter it plays three tunes and the second tune is “Changes”. It cast a spell over her and Nick a complete stranger that was in the bar having a drank. This experience send her and Nick on a adventure that changes both their lives. This is a easy fast read.
Rated PG only because younger children probably wouldn’t enjoy it.
No sex
Little or no strong language
Violence limited to what any 4th grader could handle on TV
The main character, Serena who specializes in famous art, works to recover stolen pieces. We come to enjoy her and her seeming inability to realize not only her own attractiveness but also that she is very competent at her job.
She has a good, wholesome family. Her mother is worried about her being in danger and would like to see her settle down, find a husband, and have some children. Her father is willing to let her go and grow in her own way.
She’s got a “crazy” aunt who is comparable to Stephanie Plum’s grandmother. However, the aunt might not be quite as extreme as the Plum character. I imagine she’ll be developed more in subsequent novels.
Good introduction to the series. Why only 4 stars? While the story was well-enough written and entertaining, I was not wrapped up in it like I have been with some others.
If you’re looking for a light read, this is a good choice.
I really enjoyed this book. It was fun to read and had a good story line.
Don’t judge it by its cover. Great reading. Had to get book #2 as well. Hard to put down
Cute easy to read story
Nice, entertaining light escapist reading.

Interesting plot with a few twists and turns. Learned more about the art world.
Definitely an enjoyable read!
This was s fun read
Well-developed and a great whodunit!
If you are a fan of Stephanie Plum, you will love these characters
Drug a bit.
Do heroines have to do so many stupid things?
I enjoyed reading it. Well-written.
