I loved this romance. The characters are well developed and engaging and the love and chemistry are felt throughout the storyline. The storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end.

A Flurry of Feelings is the second book in the lovely Lantern Lake series but it can also be read as a stand-alone. When Claire crashes her car into a tree on a deserted road she is rescued by recluse Jared. This is another great visit to Lantern Lake and a chance to catch up with the delightful McAllister family. Newt is an absolute delight. This is another short book but feels longer.
I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series to discover which brother will get his HEA. I definitely recommend this book.

Jared comes across Claire in the snowstorm. She’d wrecked her car and was not doing well. He offered to help her. As it goes, the storm got worse, so she ended up at his cabin. He was somewhat of a hermit, having lost his wife to a drunk driver. He wasn’t usually one for company. However, he finds that he doesn’t dislike having her around. She’s dating someone though, and he shouldn’t be feeling anything toward another woman. I loved when he referred to Roland (pure ick, I must say) by the wrong name. That was a chuckle. His brothers and family all end up in the story, in some capacity or other. It is a close knit family in a close knit community.

This is book two in the Lantern Lake series. Meet Claire, she is on her way to meet her boyfriend when she gets into a car accident in a snow storm. Jared enjoys his new solitary life but when heading home, he sees a car off the side of the road that has hit a tree. He stops to check it out. Jared gets Claire conscious and takes her home for the storm to let up. You know the saying, things get worse before they get better, that is the case with the weather here. This is a short story but it is packed full of details that unfolds so smoothly that you feel like no detail was missed. I have enjoyed reading this series and getting an escape during the extra hustle and bustle this time of year. Enjoy!

Claire’s boyfriend was a selfish jerk who left her to drive alone in a snowstorm to Lantern Lake Inn when she gets in a car accident and Jared finds her and rescues her. He’s attracted to her, but she’s with someone else and he hasn’t completely gotten over the loss of his wife six years ago. They have their ups and downs and are both quite argumentative. I love his lovable Newfoundland dog Newt and the welcoming people in the area that helped Claire out when she was stranded.
