Another thrilling Cyborgs on Mars story!
Judgement Day is here. I love this second chance romance! I did wonder if Sam would judge Addie too harshly for her previous actions, but love can overcome many obstacles.
I get such a big kick out of the cyborg horses and their interactions with the women. These horses are every bit as protective as the big cyborgs who ride them!
There are a few intriguing surprises here – very exciting! Best of all, is the delicious love that Sam and Addie have for each other!
4 stars – It was really good
S-756 hates all humans, but especially the scientist who tortured him and turned him into a cyborg. When he has to rescue a scientist, he is shocked to discover that she is the beautiful woman who betrayed him years ago.
This was a great cyborg romance! I love when two damaged people find love together and these two were great! They met over 10 years ago when Sam, aka S-756, was turned into a cyborg. She tried to help him escape but things quickly went wrong. I liked that while Sam held onto his anger against Addie for a while he still took care of her and protected her. He may have been a little grumpy at first but he quickly changes.
Sam and Addie have a fast paced but also very emotional relationship. Addie has been abused by her ex-husband and doesn’t trust men anymore, especially when it comes to sex. Sam has to slowly show her that it can be pleasurable and that it won’t hurt. I liked how careful he was with her after he realized the extent of her fears. They both had a lot of emotional trauma but they helped each other work through it and I loved every minute of it.
Overall, this was a great second chance romance. I loved seeing this grumpy cyborg fall in love. I am really enjoying this series and really can’t wait to see how the cyborgs will deal with GenCon in the future.
Content Warnings: Addie was coerced into an abusive marriage and forced to have a child. Sam (S-756) was tortured by a sadistic scientist.
SPOILERS**
Experimented on by a sadistic scientist, unwilling cyborg S-756 (Sam Wilson) found himself facing horrors that would break a man. Addie appeared and offered a way out. Unfortunately, it was a trap and S-756 lost all regard for the scientist he thought he could trust. Fast forward 12 years and a different planet. S-756 is the judge on Mars, a rugged frontier that Gen-con is trying to make more habitable for humans. Addie is tasked with this project and Sam volunteers to help. Unfortunately Addie’s ex-husband, the scientist that caused Sam to distrust humans, has different plans for the cyborg. I enjoyed the give and take of the characters and the opportunity for redemption.

I loved the story of Sam and Addie. His horse is cool too!! Sam has been burnt by humans and has become isolated as a judge on Mars. Dr, Addie has come full circle and is faced with her betrayal of Sam, although her motives were true and pure. At the end of the day Sam and Addie find their passion and love again but not without a test of their unified front.
A beautiful redemption story! I’ve looked forward to this story for months! Finally getting to read it was exciting and worth the wait. The love story was heartbreaking, both Addie and Sam carried the hurt that was forced on them by someone else. I loved the way the story unfurled, a wave of emotion at a time, and how each chapter of the story brought their love for each other back. The story was easy to read, there were no mistakes to distract me, and the action kept building. Now I’m looking forward to the next one, so please write fast!
AI was so excited to read this ever since he read about this salty guy. I was not disappointed.
I do like that they had a past and it didn’t seem that they just fell into each others beds. I do so hope she keeps with this series. If so I wonder who her next pairing would be.
This is the story of Addie and S-756 (Sam) they had known each other in the past and due to a misunderstanding he hates her. Then 12 years later they are both on Mars and by chance meet again and he realizes not everything back then was what it seemed.
**If you like Honey Phillips other books you will love this one as well another Great Honey Phillips story.
I’m liking this series. This book has an interesting epilogue. It would be nice if the settlers had an easier time living on Mars. I hope we see a breakthrough in later books.
I really like the Cyborg’s horses. I’m pretty sure there is more to them that we haven’t learned yet. The cyborgs are great and I’m glad that they are getting a hea with some good women. It takes a hardy person to settle this planet.
The bad guy is actually a corporation. I’m certain that we haven’t seen the last of these people.
In the latest installment of Honey Phillips’ Cyborg on Mars series we get a story about “The Judge.” He’s the head of the cyborgs and his word is law. In the past two books he’s had a quite forbidding and hard demeanor. The Judge’s human name is Sam. Sam had a previous “run-in” with Addie that will be explained when you read the book. When Addie needs his help he will come to her rescue, with reservations. And Sam is one blazing hot cyborg. You’ll get more up and personal with Sam’s horse, Blackie. He pretty much bonds with Addie, so that was fun to see. I loved how Addie was kind of an innocent character, but not in the virgin/insta-love kind of way. There’s plenty of steamy scenes in this book, too! This story was a definite page-turner.
I had the lucky opportunity to beta read A Fistful of Cyborg. Cyborg romance lovers, you WANT to read this story and this series! In my dreams I want this cyborg gone cowboy in charge! 4.5 stars

Oh Judge, sigh. I loved the crusty Sam from the beginning. I’ve been waiting to see who or what hurt him so badly he hated all humans, or tried to anyway.
Addie suffered greatly because of her love for Sam. She wasn’t old enough to be strong and confident in the past but that’s changed after all she’s done and suffered.
I love this series and watching to see what’s up with GenCon and the other Cyborgs has made this a series I stalk new releases for. One of my favorites, always leave me feeling happy and wanting my own sexy Cyborg hottie. Sign me up for the first settlement ship, lol
*WARNING* story contains explicit adult content
I knew the Judge had to have a bad heartbreaking story from his attitude in the previous books. Now I understand his extreme dislike towards human females. What we don’t get in the previous book is why the human female did what she did. This book is a stand alone, but I would recommend reading the previous books in this series. Honey Phillips has done an excellent job in putting emotions in words.
The second book in the Cyborgs on Mars series a well written story with a great storyline, the story flowed smoothly across the pages. S-756/Sam and Addie’s story, a book I was not putting down until I finished reading.I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
S-756 has been taken, experimented on and turned into a cyborg. He can’t escape, and the only relief is a daily visit from Addie, a menial working for GenCon. She helps him escape only to betray him in the end.
Twelve years later, they meet again on Mars. Can he forgive her, or will he take his revenge?
This is a wonderful sci-fi romance!! I absolutely loved it! This cyborg and his lady have been through so much.. It is really a lovely second-chance romance…

Sometimes you read a character or a story and you feel an instant connection to them, right? Sam and Addie were that for me. The prologue captivated me from page one and I found myself quickly becoming emotionally invested in these two from then on.
Sam thought he was volunteering to help Earth and its people survive. He thought he was making a difference but when he’s turned into a cyborg, he is treated like a machine, with no rights and denied his humanity. Until he meets Addie. She’s the only bright spot in his otherwise miserable existence in a scientific lab. But eventually even that is taken from him.
Thinking that Addie betrayed him, Sam closes off his heart and becomes the perfect cyborg soldier. Until he’s reunited with Addie and he realizes that things aren’t as black and white as he’d thought.
Addie has her reasons for what happened all those years ago but she’s always regretted not being able to explain to Sam. Having him back gives Addie the courage to reach for a second chance. But cyborgs are still thought of as less than human and her ex rears his ugly head to try and derail them. Packed full of action, suspense and (steamy-off-the-charts) romance, Sam and Addie will not disappoint!
Would I recommend? This is part of a series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I highly recommend it. It was safe (no cheating) and had two amazingly loving and caring characters that you will want to root for. I loved the writing style, the emotional growth both MCs go through and the secondary characters just whetted my appetite 🙂
I’m beyond curious about Jonah and Daisy but I’m getting ménage vibes I don’t really do sharing! If anyone knows, please comment! In the meantime, I’m going to hunt down the rest of the series and catch up on amazing cyborgs, lol.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Honey Phillips has done it again. On the planet of Mars, she’s created love for the cyborgs there, who thought it lost to them.
Meet S-756 a/k/a Major Sam Wilson. Over 10 years ago, a woman broke his heart. This caused him to not trust humans.while rescuing a human woman, she turned out to be that woman.
Dr. Addie Montgomery.has been suffering heartache for over 10 years. She now finds herself on Mars sill working for GenCon. She decides to explore her surroundings and runs into three men who intend to rape her. She knows they will hurt her from past experiences.
Follow Sam and Addie to their HEA. You will not be sorry.

This novel was well written and edited, with few if any typos that I caught. The characterization was great, with me feeling especially sympathetic to the heroine and all she had suffered with her ex-husband. The hero was crusty on the outside and a marshmallow on the inside, which is a character type I usually love. The world building in this novel, re-creating the atmosphere of the old American West during the colonization of Mars, is super enjoyable for me, because I was definitely a Firefly fan. The plot and pacing of this novel was exciting and meant I finished it in one sitting. This novel was medium angst and very high stakes, which is one of my preferred narrative structures for romance novels. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy sci-fi romances with cyborg heroes or who were fans of Firefly.

This is the next book in the series Cyborgs on Mars. I’ve loved all the books in this series and eagerly wait for each to come out. They are the perfect combination of the wild west and space, dropping in just enough science to keep my heart happy.
Sam’s and Addie’s story doesn’t disappoint; it runs the full gamut from heartbreak to happiness.
This love story is a sweet one with blistering sexy times.
The cyborgs are at it again in A Fistful of Cyborg. I am loving this series which combines syfy with the wild west style action. The characters in this one know each other and that back story plays a significant role in the tale, making it different from the first two in the series (books 0.5 & 1) and the reader is kept in the dark like our hero, Sam, of all the secrets that Addie has till just the right moment. This is a well written tale of love and redemption sure to keep the pages turning. Enjoy!
