From the New York Times bestselling author of Pucked and A Lie for a Lie, a new stand-alone romance about trading favors, battling wills, and winning love. When I joined Seattle’s NHL expansion team, I thought it was the start of something great. But nothing ever goes the way you expect. Take my introduction to my new neighbor. She came rolling in on the hot mess express at midnight, making a … mess express at midnight, making a racket while she tried to get into my team captain’s apartment. Did I mention that he’s married to a woman who definitely was not her?
Imagine my surprise when I end up with an injury that has me out of the game for weeks, and she’s the one to offer to help me. I should probably add that she’s not the captain’s mistress. She’s his sexy, pastel-haired younger sister.
So we come up with an arrangement: she rehabs me so that I can get back on the ice sooner, and she can add a professional athlete that isn’t her brother to her client list. Seems simple enough. As long as I can keep my hands to myself and my hormones in check.

My heart is so happy that we get to see the Pucked gang in this series. Pucked was probably one of the first sports romances series I fell in love with and oh gosh I miss them.
This book was honestly SO good. I read A Lie for a Lie a few days before reading A Favor for a Favor and I really enjoyed it but this one, this one was even better. I loved the enemies to lovers vibe and GUYS the banter was so fun and sexy. It had me dying. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for them to jump each other’s bones. Ahhh the wait was worth it.
These two were honestly so fun and entertaining. I loved watching them work through their first meeting+misunderstanding. It took Bishop a while but once he learned the truth, his guard lowered a little and it was so nice to watch them slowly but surely become friends and then more.
I gotta admit Rook really got on my nerves in this book. All the animosity between him and Bishop was stupid, even more so considering he was team captain… his actions really got on my nerves.
Cannot wait for what’s next!
I loved this book! Well, I love all her books but I really loved the banter between Bishop and Stevie! I LOL’d many times (once I even scared my dog off my lap) and then there were the heart squeeze moments too. Just go read this book!!!
4.25 stars. Aww! This was a really good book. A Favor for a Favor is Stevie and Bishop’s book. Stevie is Rook’s sister (from A Lie for a Lie) and is a physical sports therapist. After catching her boyfriend cheating, she moves into Rook’s empty former apartment across the hall from Bishop’s. Rook is the captain of the pro hockey team that he and Bishop are on. Bishop wanted the captain’s appointment, but was passed over, so he already doesn’t like Rook. When he sees Stevie move in, he thinks she is Rook’s mistress and is rude to her. Stevie sees lots of women leaving Bishop’s apartment and thinks he is a playboy (the ladies are really his brother’s conquests). So they get off on the wrong foot, but they soon become good friends. Stevie helps him with physical therapy after an injury and they eventually fall for each other.
I really enjoyed this book! This is a well paced, easy read. The story was really fun, without too much angst or pushing away. I liked the grumpy Bishop and the sweet but snarky Stevie. They had great chemistry and good banter. Their relationship is opposites attract, slowish burn, friends first and then lovers. I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop and that they both found happiness together.
Overall, this book was really good! A Favor for a Favor is the perfect blend of humor, sexiness, and sweetness. I am loving this series, it’s fun characters and sweet sexy romance. I can’t wait for more from Ms. Hunting!
4.5/5 STARS
I’m just addicted to Helena Hunting’s Sport Romcoms!!
The writing, the humor and sexiness….
I loved Stevie’s character, and of course Bishop’s too (and not only because of his weird underwear obsession).
Add some Violet moments to the mix, and you’ll get another great romcom!
The series is getting more addictive with each book.
I’m definitely looking for Kingston’s story.
Well done, again, Helena!

Stevie is the sister of RJ who we met in book one which I would recommend you read. Bishop is RJ’s teammate and to say they don’t get on is an understatement, their rivalry was so funny they were like two little boys fighting. I loved the back and forth between the two, at times it was like watching a tennis match as they traded verbal volleys. It was only a matter of time before they gave into the undeniable chemistry but oh the build up was hot, the looks the little touches all building upto the inevitable. I enjoyed the sibling relationships both main characters had as they played an important part of the story. This was not an instant love and I enjoyed the slow pace of the romance as it always feels more realistic. Another good story in the series, looking forward to the next one
Rook Bowman has a sister…a hot sister – Stevie and she’s the star of this book 2 in All In series
She stumbles in the hallway of her brothers penthouse and out comes Pissed off Bear with a Bee in his Underpants A-Hole – Bishop Winslow in his ridiculous underpants…VA VA Vrooom!!
“This guy takes the jerk cake with his asinine accusations. Such an epic waste of hotness. ”
He mistakes her for a Boner Killer mistress and there in starts the rivalry, the underpants game and the verbal repartee. It was so funny and light hearted, till emotions get involved!!
She’s a sports rehab physiotherapist, and he’s injured in the “Man Stick” area. It’s. A huge comedy of timings when they get up, close and personal!
His stick gets painfully hard and she needs to be thoroughly professional while orgasming in the inside
“I’m having dirty thoughts about him. The kind I use as fodder for my private one-hand clapping parties after our nightly PT sessions. My vibrator has been getting one hell of a workout lately.”
When two hot people work in such close quarters, there’s bound b to be fireworks.
Sexy ones between Shippy & Stevie
Angry one from RJ!!
I loved Stevie, She has the BEST TASTE in Pizza- Pineapple & Olives for the win!!!!!
“If women can stomach jizz, you can swallow a bite of this pizza.”
He’s gruff, sexy, hung & built.
I loved the banter, I love the chemistry.
Whip smart dialogues, Helena is very comfortable in the awkward sexual conversations
“I would rather eat a dirty, sweaty pussy than take another bite of that disgusting combination of toppings.”
“I haven’t showered since yesterday, so I have one of those if you feel like dessert.”
And their sizzling connection is too hot to handle.
A thirst quencher of a story for lovers of Trademark Helena Rom-com
4.5 stars for Dicken Balls
I really loved Bishop and Stevie! He was such a grumpy guy with no filter with what he says. It was hilarious. Stevie has some major issues with her brother’s fame and not getting stuck in his shadow. I felt for her, and I loved her independence. She was sassy and a lot of fun. These two have a ton of amazing chemistry. Their therapy sessions were so much fun to read, due to his type of injury. The dynamic between Bishop and RJ was very tense and caused a lot of issues on the team. I love getting to know these guys and having Alex as their coach. All of the scenes with Violet are huge bonuses. Loving this series.
Helena Hunting makes me so damn happy with her hilariously sweet stories, and A Favor for A Favor did just that! From beginning to end I was completely captivated and in love with this story. Stevie and Bishop were both down to earth characters you couldn’t help but love. Their hilarious banter, sexual innuendos, witty comments and sexual tension made me love them all the more. The underwear wars were so freaking hilarious I was legit laughing out loud, so hard I was sputtering like a fool.
You can’t help but love these characters, and man do I. Bishop and Stevie each brought a unique, fun-loving personality and presence to this book and I was completely under their spell.
To say Helena Hunting knocked this book out of the park is an understatement. She aced it with this story, to the point where I know I’ll have to come back again and again to read Stevie and Bishop’s story. I absolutely loved this book! 5 stars and beyond!
This book is packed with so many laughs! I loved the dynamic these two characters had! They had this chemistry that was off the charts and you could feel it coming off the pages. There was a lot of anticipation waiting for these two to finally give into to their attraction. The author did a great job on building that up while delivering a great story. The writing was fantastic. While I did enjoy the story I did find it to be a little predictable. Overall, I did really enjoy the story and fits in with the authors writing style and I can’t wait for more!
Loved it ! Helena has once again wowed me with her words and pulled me into her characters world.
Stevie and Bishop have such a sassy snarky banter but as we know there is a fine line between love and hate. Stevie is a therapist and we begin with it being her birthday, a day that she should be celebrating but coming home to find her boyfriend in a compromising position begins a new life for her.
Stevie finds herself on the doorstep of her brother RJ’s doorstep to an apartment that he is not using. He plays hockey for the NHL and it is a team issued home. After the day she had she does not need a series of if it can happen it will events but she gets that and so much more.
Bishop is a stoic, arrogant, smartass, playboy that plays hockey with RJ and lives across the hall. When he is woken in the middle of the night by some “woman” trying to be RJ’s booty call he is more than shall we say annoyed . This sets the stage for the funny, sassy, sexually charged banter between these new neighbors . So let’s just say that when you finally see the real person behind the mask you may think just a bit differently about them . Bishop needs a personal therapist and Stevie would love to prove her knowledge to the team …….let the games begin!!!
Go team Stevie and Bishop !

If your looking for a slow burn hockey romance full of banter and a little angst, this is your book. Book 2 in the series but can totally be read as a standalone without trouble.
Stevie is trying to start out in her new career after finishing college, but her plans didn’t quite turn out how she expected them to. She finds herself living in her brothers apartment and working at the same office as her cheating ex. One hot as hell, cranky ass neighbour who gets his morning paper in his boxers.
Bishop willingly transferred to the new Seattle NHL team, thinking this is the best move for him and his brother. Never expecting to get sidelined for the captain position. Determined to show everyone his worth on the team, when he gets injured in the first pre-season game. How can he show his worth on the bench healing?
What starts off with a chance meeting full of misunderstanding, turns into a favor for a favor agreement. This should benefit both of them very when if it all works out. That last thing either of them were looking for was a relationship. Will all the time spent together spark a fire? Will the team captain keep causing Bishop problems?
I am enjoying this spin off series and hoping that Kingston will soon get his book.
*** Advanced copy provided in exchange for an honest review.***
We met Stevie in the first book, Lie For A Lie, being RJ’s baby sister and we also heard Bishop’s name being mentioned as a team mate. And as much as I liked that book, I absolutely loved this one more. I enjoyed the authentic start and the slow build up for this couple.
I admired Bishop’s moral code and snorted how he got it wrong with the relationship between RJ and Stevie. I loved the way he looked after his own brother and his commitment to him. I cherished how he tried his best to be the best person around Stevie and I floved his gruffness and dirty mouth.
I don’t want to take away from Stevie, as she was just as awesome to read about. She too had a great family bond that I so appreciate. She also had a vulnerability that made her all the more lovable. She was somewhat sassy but oh so witty which again I was smirking along with them.
The storyline is one that most treasure. It’s a sports romance with a slight enemies then friends to lovers trope. They live across the hall from each other, where they met and have fun with dress codes and collecting their daily paper. There are a few reasons why they shouldn’t take their friendship to the next level and valid reasons. But when they do, yep super hot! In my honest opinion, I think everyone will find something to be crazy about with this book.
This was fantastic. Stevie and Bishop are so funny and perfect for each other. I highlighted so many things in this book. Dirty little quips, funny sayings I never want to forget, scenes that had me laughing hard. But aside from cracking me up, I really enjoyed the connection they built with one another. I know I say this a lot, but I think these two might be my fave couple of Helena’s. And I mean out of alll of them.
This is PERFECTION from Helena Hunting. I loved everything about A Favor for a Favor way too much. The adorable, quirky, amazing and instantly relatable characters. The full range of emotions starting from sweet to sexy to funny to intense to swoonworthy goodness. I had so much fun and my heart is incredibly full!
This story is told from dual POV. The NHL star Bishop and his accidental neighbour aka his captain’s sister aka his accidental physiotherapist Stevie. Their story starts with a series of hilarious misunderstandings and they basically tease and taunt and banter like frenemies. Then Bishop gets injured and Stevie feels this can be a chance for her to get some professional experience good for her resume. And Bishop needs to get back to ice as soon as possible. Their sessions soon start getting loaded with sexual tension and undeniable attraction. But there are too many variables. Stevie’s reluctance to be part of a celebrity athlete life. Bishop’s issues with her brother and also the team’s policy.
I just adore and love Bishop. He is so amazing. I am probably repeating same words but I don’t have enough to praise him. First, he is absolutely deliciously sexy and goegeous. Second, he has a special brand of straightforwardness that sometimes borders on a$$hole and sometimes totally swoonworthy. Like when he defends Stevie or goes against Rook while trying to express her true feelings. Third, he has a gentle side behind his moody, brooding and hard exterior. That just melts my heart into a puddle. And I want to Stevie’s girlfriend because she is the best. She is sweet, sassy, witty, caring and just everything. Now let’s talk about the chemistry. It was pure bliss and heavenly beautiful. My heart was swooning, laughing, crying and going through every crazy emotions. I loved their sarcastic back and forth. I loved the tender moments. I loved the simmering hot, intense, heartaching, soul deep and unique chemistry.
A Favor for Favor was Helena Hunting at her best. This delightful, dreamy, sexy and mindblowing sports rom com has own my heart completely. The time passed lightening fast and I cannot believe it was over when I turned the last page. The writing was so flawless and mesmerising. One of my top read of 2019!
Received ARC for honest review.
4.5 STARS!!! I really enjoyed Bishop and Stevie’s story. I liked seeing a few characters from the Pucked series. Lots of sweet funny moments and some definite HOT ones.
GAH. This book was EVERYTHING! A Favor for a Favor is even better than A Lie for a Lie.
My toddler went to bed early, and I intended to do the same. Hahaha. Joke was on me because I didn’t put this book down until I was done. I devoured A Favor for a Favor, and now I want to go back for a nice slow re-read.
Stevie and Bishop were the absolute best. Snark, assholery and banter thrown in with chemistry, sexual tension and a slow burn romance? Yes, PLEASE. So, so good.
In other words, you’ll want to read this book.

I received a complimentary ARC – early release copy of this book in Kindle format from the author for review purposes.
This is book 2 in the series and its an awesome story filled with slow burn and two angry neighbors and a little forbiddeness as the female lead is the sister of the male leads teammate, plus its an eventual friends falling in love. It easily stands alone.
The female lead in this story is Stevie, she has just graduated college in Physiotherapy and has a new job in town. She was supposed to move in with her boyfriend but she came to town a few night early to celebrate her Birthday with him when she gets the surprise as he is cheating on her.
She then needs a place to stay and so she calls her brother RJ or Rook who gives her an empty penthouse he has. RJ was the male lead in the first book. She is having a rough night made worse when she has an altercation with her brothers neighbor, Bishop aka Shippy who is a very grumpy guy.
The two start out as enemies and eventually form a flirtation friendship of sorts and that’s when this story gets really fun. They are very there for each other. But Rook is not happy about their friendship so fireworks ensue.
This is a well written story with some very fun characters and I really loved this story and I fell hard for Bishop and Stevie.
4.7 stars
I knew after the first book of this series that it was magical. There is something different from the Pucked series that makes this one extraordinary. The writing style is different. It is even better. There is a sense of vulnerability to the characters that I really am enjoying. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the snark and humor from the first series but at times it could get overwhelming. However, in this series the snark is subtle.
Strong characters, fantastic bantering, and so much sexual tension. The backstory and slow build into forming a connection are appreciated. There are feelings here that got me invested in the characters. Stevie and her need to stay in the shadows and her reasons why were completely understandable. She was sassy and independent and I liked that about her. Bishop was not the usual Man whore with a string of puck buddies. Instead, he was gruff and motivated because he took his responsibilities seriously. I REALLY liked that about him. This didn’t have as much steam as normal in this author’s books but I was okay with that because in this case, the anticipation made it that much more enticing. AND the story didn’t need it. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my steam but I like it balanced with an actual story if that is the type of book that it is. This wasn’t erotica for the sense of erotica. It was all romance.
I highly recommend this series to anyone that has been a fan of the Pucked series but be prepared this one is even better than that one. Not sure how that is even possible but it is. There are appearances from crazy Violet and Alex and Stevie’s brother RJ and his family but otherwise, this is a clean slate from that book which is a refreshing change.
I was fortunate enough to get an early copy to review. This is my honest opinion.
Do you love slow burn?
Do you love hot hockey player?
Do you love funny moments?
It’s not easy to be in the shadow, not knowing if people wants to get to know you for who you are, or just trying to get something out of you.
Stevie is Rook little sister, she hates the spotlight and doing her best to stay away from the media circus.
When she hit a ruff patch Rook offered her his apartment as a safe place.
Little did she knew that her next door neighbor will be an ass.
Cue in Bishop. The sexy grumpy hot neighbor that happens to be an NHL player.
When He meets Stevie for the first time he makes a big ass of himself.
When shit hit the fan Stevie offers to help Bishop.
A favor for a favor.
The book was so good, I had the best time reading it.
I love Helena writing, it’s funny and emotionally. She had the ability to make laugh, make you cry, make you happy or sad.
For me, I get lost in the world she build and that’s what need from my books.
This story was no different.
For me this book was one of my favorite.
If you are new to her books I highly recommend
Until then
Holy Smokes, from the very first pages…Stevie and Bishop’s interactions are a delight and seeing how they mix business with their increasing attraction for each other is entertaining indeed. Readers who love sexy reads with a hero who makes your jaw drop with every smile and every word out of his mouth, as well as what saying is on his underwear…who love strong, independent woman who love fiercely will adore this book. It’s hockey romance at its best.
No one does enemies-to-lovers romance like Helena Hunting, and “A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR” showcases her story telling at its best. This fast paced, smart, witty, slow burn and scorching-hot love story held me enthralled in its’ clutches from the beginning to the end, and I couldn’t get enough of Stevie and Bishop. I loved every minute of this thoroughly engrossing, emotionally charged and deliciously scorching romance. YUM!! My new favorite of the year!
