A Family Affair is where it all began…Heartache, Betrayal, Forgiveness, Redemption…all wrapped up in the people you will love to love, and those you will love to hate! When Christine Blacksworth’s larger-than-life father is killed on an icy road in Magdalena, New York, a hundred miles from the ‘getaway’ cabin he visited every month, she discovers a secret that threatens everything she’s always … threatens everything she’s always held to be true. Her father has another family which includes a mistress and a daughter.
Determined to uncover the truth behind her father’s secret life, Christine heads to Magdalena, prepared to hate the people who have caused her to question everything she thought she knew about her father. But what she finds is a woman who understands her, a half sister who cherishes her, and a man who could love her if she’ll let him. The longer she’s around them, the more she questions which family is the real one. . .

I could hardly put this book down. I loved her interaction within the family units.
This was a story about secrets and lies, and how those things can change lives. How all it takes is a death and the life a special child to bring it all back to what’s most important. This was a good story, with a lot of depth and color, a lot of pain and darkness. But it felt like a story and how the sky afterward opens up as the clouds start …
It’s a love story, but a very graphic sexually. I do not recommend this for teens!
Good story. interesting plot.
It was very good. The ending had a twist that made it even more interesting.
Was unsure about this but in the end, I loved it! Interesting twist. Nice full bodied characters. Super ending!
This is the first of a series. I will definitely be getting the remainder. Very enjoyable book.
I loved this book and the family theme.
Adversity that is unable to resist love and compassion.
enjoyable……really disliked the Mother but came to adore the Uncle….
Great story line.

An easy read! I didn’t have to overthink anything!!
Enjoyed the book very much. Entertaining and easy to read.
Good read.
Excellent
Unusual story line but romance was predictable.
A captivating read with lots of twists and turns. I enjoyed it so much that I looked to see if any of our local libraries carried and of the sequels after I read the teaser to book 2… No luck. I am so surprised the libraries didn’t have this series and have recommended it to the one for which I work! I also recommended it to a coworker! It …
This is definitely a book worth reading. It’s one of those “feel good books”. It has some family sadness in it, and some surprises, but all in all, I enjoyed it very much.
Love it
