It’s difficult enough to love a human when you’re anything but. But when the human you love has a disease of the blood hell-bent on killing him, the level of difficulty becomes monumental. Severely weakened from using her own life force to remain one step ahead of Cale’s illness, Avie must seek out others for help, but their services come at a steep price. Can she bring herself to do the one … to do the one thing that could save them both?
Note: A Fairy’s Tale is a short novel and book 4 in the Mythical Ink Series which is the paranormal spin-off of the Exotic Ink Series where you can first meet Avie and Cale. Now this fairy continues on in Mythical Ink to share a monumental moment between her and Cale that will carry you into the next in this paranormal series, Lucian: Mythical Ink Series 5, which is coming soon.

I love the guys in this shop but these two have stolen my heart. In a battle for their lives neither wants to do it alone. This time there is much more at stake than either wants to acknowledge or face alone. With a little help from some friends and a lot of love for each other these two show us what true love is all about. Sharing the selfless and the uncompromising strength of their love is what has gotten them this far. When revelations and answered question do nothing but encourage him to ask more questions it just confirms these two are meant to be. This story just touched my heart when the focus was on recovery and commitment. Love this so hard.
A wonderful touching short read about love and sacrifice. The mythical creatures in your imagination come alive in this series. You become more aware of how wonderful fairy’s are, and how they love. This fairy’s love story reaches out, and captures your heart. I had butterflies in my stomach just reading about her love and sacrifice for her human. The devotion that they both had for one another was heart stopping. I can’t wait to see what is in story for us in this family of Mythical Ink.
*CAUTION* this is for mature readers
Avie is a fairy married to a human. Fairys have a naturally high libido and a natural healing ability, but the healing ability comes with a cost. Avie’s husband doesn’t know his wife is a fairy. Avie knows Cale has some sort of blood disease and will do anything to save him.
Cale is human and married to the best woman in the world, at least that’s the way he feel about Avie. Cale works at Mythical Ink, but he gets tired easy some days. Avie must be his lucky charm because after a good night’s rest with his beautiful wife, Cale feels great!
This short story is a testament to a true, undying love between 2 people. I absolutely adored the feeling Anders put into these to characters. I’m also very interested to see if Arin gets a story, because I think she has more going on too. This story may be short, be it holds BIG emotions, so have those tissues close. RECOMMENDED
A Magical Love Story
To what lengths will a person go in the name of love? True love may require true sacrifice, and this fairy’s tale explores the notion of how much is too much. Avie and Cale are magical together but their problems are not. Their lives and futures are so intertwined that knowing the right thing to do or wish for is nearly impossible. I loved this story, and in some tiny part, the way A Fairy’s Tale answers these questions brought to mind O. Henry’s The Gift of the Magi. Once again, I was pulled into the increasingly real world of Mythical Ink. LS Anders creates modern, sexy, alluring fairy tales that leave me wanting to read the next, and rereading in between.
I received an advance reader copy of this book, and am voluntarily offering an honest review. I loved it so much that I bought it anyway, just as I bought the rest of both the Mystical and Exotic Ink series.
I had the honour of proofreading this little gem. LS Anders amazes me at every turn, you never know where her imagination is going to take us next.
This is a short read, but the impact the pages have are beyond words,
The book links into the amazing characters from Exotic & Mythical Ink, with hints of characters with future storylines to come and I can’t wait get hold of them.
SOME SPOILERS
Cale & Avie’s story is based on a serious illness and Avie being a fairy with magical powers is hell-bent on curing Cale even if it means risking losing her own life in the process. She will stop at nothing to make Cale healthy even making deals with the slutty sistren of dirty fairies.
Will Cale survive? If by some miracle he does will Avie still be around to witness all her hard work?
This is my first book by L S Anders and my first fairy book. This book is a sweet romance of a fairy named Avie and her human husband named Cale. Cale suffers from Leukemia and Ave is bound and determined to cure him. Avie can get into Cale’s body and put her life essence into the bone marrow. When Avie does this it takes years off her life, so it’s time to call in other fairys to help. The other fairys agreed to help but at a price. They always wanted to have sex with a human. Avie agreed to do this for Cale and it would be his birthday present. Cale refused to do it. He loved his wife to much. So Avie had to come up with another plan. The fairys would help her husband but now they would have sex with a wolf shifter and humans. In the end it was Avie who needed help. Another fairy was called in to help her. Now that Avie and her husband are ok it’s time to focus on the evil that is out there to get them. This is a great book and I can’t wait for the next one. I loved it.
Book four in the Mythical Ink series, but these characters were also in the Exotic Ink series as well. Novella length and takes place over a very short period of time. This is about the things we would do to save our soul mate. Both Avie and Cale would give up their own lives for each other. I loved this quick read great addition to the series!
