I have this book as part of Masters and Mercenaries: The Early Ops which contains the first five books in the series. I am reviewing them individually as I read.
Being in London is hard for Liam, so close to where his life went to hell. His brother and several others dead before a bomb took out the building. He shouldn’t have survived but he did. He just can’t remember it all.
Avery has been working for a mostly reclusive philanthropist, Thomas Molina. A man who’s decided it’s time to be more active in his charity workings. There’s something fishy with some of the shipments and someone needs to get close to Avery and see if she’s innocent or not.
It’s decided that Liam should be the one to approach Avery and the rest of the team settles in as neighbors.
Full of suspense, drama, and sizzle this book has it all, CIA, MI6, plus twists and turns to keep you guessing.
I really love the continuity in these books, the characters are as intriguing as the story itself.
I think I’ll just keep reading this series until I’m caught up.
A long yet informative story. I highly recommend reading the first two stories in the series before this one. I continue to enjoy the characters. There is a lot of BDSM but the overall story is what has me captive. It really isn’t needed.
This series keeps getting better as we get to know more of the background of the members of McKay-Taggart Security Services. This story revolves around Liam O’Donnell and starts with a scene that will leave you on the edge of your seat wanting answers as to what happened on a fateful mission five years ago. Liam has been working with Eve (the team’s psychologist) and has been slowly regaining some memories of that night.
Liam and Avery were perfect for each other – both of them had tragedies in their past that they were still dealing with. While Liam has always been a “one night stand” type of man, somehow Avery quickly works her way under his skin and he becomes very protective of her. He also introduces her to the sexual side of his life. You will experience a lot of emotions as you read this story – both due to the relationship between Liam and Avery, and the suspense of the overall story.
I know I could have read this book much quicker, but I did enjoy listening to it, and Ryan West’s Irish brogue. Not being Irish, I can’t attest to the authenticity, but it sounded good to me. The audio version is approx. 15.35 hrs of listening.
Remembering Liam from Adam, Serena, and Jake’s book, I was not sure what to expect. The elusive Mr. Black was the target. Finding out about both Avery and Liam’s tormented pasts, I knew it was going to be an interesting ride seeing how the author was going to get them together.
This book has so much intrigue, action, suspense, and mystery working together, much more than the previous book. There were so many pieces to the puzzle, that every time I thought it was almost the last, it wasnt!
Liam and Avery had great chemistry. I thought it was interesting that Avery was so willing to accept him as her Dom. They also had several funny moments that often occurred as they were ratcheting up the sexual tension. The book involved many steamy scenes.
As the Taggert team navigates the streets of London trying to bring down Mr. Black, and avoiding spotlighting Liam’s past, Avery and Liam move steadily toward their HEA. You won’t be disappointed by the twists, turns, and surprises throughout the book.
Okay, so I was felt everything… When Liam first seen Avery I felt how he felt about her… When Avery first talked to Liam I was nervous right along with her… When they first ” sleep ” together I felt all the emotion that they both felt… When Avery went to the Garden for the first time it felt like my first time all so… LOL.. Even when Liam told Avery the truth about who he was and what his job was I felt the betrayed by Liam just like Avery and felt the need make sure she know truth just as Liam know that he had too, because he the longer he lied to her the more it would hurt her in the end… I need a breather before heading off to next book
A fun read that you don’t want to end!
Lexi Blake does not write a bad book. I have read the whole series. I love the characters and how they are like one big family. Very steamy and sexy. I couldn’t put them down.
There are very few authors who are as accomplished as Lexi Blake when it comes to romantic suspense with a side of BDSM thrown in. Her characters are dynamic, intense, charasmatic and sinfully sensual. She builds intrigue and mystery to the point that you don’t want to put the book down. Instead you keep turning pages to see what happens next.
Liam O’Donnell is a jaded, cynical and broken. Avery, too, is physically and emotionally broken. They’ve both lost so much. Together they get caught up in a maelstrom of evil, deceit, treachery and danger. The McKay-Taggart team is in London on a mission and it’s all hands on deck making sure it’s successful.
Liam O’Donnell finally meets a woman who makes him think Sean, Adam and Jake aren’t as crazy as he thought they were. Avery Charles has been through so much tragedy in her short life but has fought her way to the other side and sees the good in people, especially Lee Donnelly (Liam’s cover name on this op). The team is in England on the hunt for Eli Nelson who is associated with Avery’s Boss. This book has lots of action, intrigue and steamy sex? Lots of secrets are revealed in this book too! Shocking secrets!
‘A Dom is Forever,’ is a wickedly sensual and memorable read! Following a sure lead to Mr. Black, the rouge CIA agent Eli Nelson, a man who used, betrayed, and nearly killed one of his team mates, Liam O’Donnell has been forced to returned home. A place he fled many years ago after an op had gone terribly wrong and he lost everything he held dear, including his memory of the events of that day. Working with the teams psychologist, Eve St. James, to try and recover the events of that horrific day and taking lead of this op, Liam O’Donnell is facing things he’s never faced before.
Despite all the tragedy that Avery Charles has suffered throughout her life, she has an amazingly compassionate heart. Working as the personal assistant to Thomas Molina, a millionaire philanthropist, Avery is starting her new life. Dedicating herself to helping those in need in war ridden countries, Avery is unaware that she has become the mark in an investigation to catch a rouge CIA agent. Avery finds herself deeply involved with Lee Donnelly, AKA Liam O’Donnell, and a world she’d never imagined…
This book is one of my all time favorite Lexi Blake books! Liam and Avery have a sweet and steamy love story. It is the classic story of a man finding redemption and a women finding her strength! The McKay-Taggart team head to London in search of a terrorist. This book has twists, romance, action and humor. Liam and Avery are one of my all time favorite couples and if you have read the first two books in the series it is great to read about Liam finding love.
