I love reading Hildie McQueen’s books! This was a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
This author captured the difficulty of living in the past while trying to believe new life really is ahead. Facing great sorrow and vowing to never love again because of his loss. Very pleased with the author.
The characters were rather flat and emotionless. Yes, they reacted to the various circumstances, both good and bad, but in a very shallow, surface-only way. Nora’s “deep, dark secret” is hinted at being something very traumatizing but she never actually reflects that trauma. Both she and her brother are way too accepting of the situations they are …
A little on the whimsical side but yet very entertaining. Enjoyed reading it!
Loved it. Stayed up to read it, good thing I’m retired.
Well written romance with a few twists to keep things interesting.
What can I say more GREAT!
The book held my interest. It kept my mine occupied. Gave me some entertainment.
Enjoyed this book very much. Good story line and easy to read and follow plots in book.
Grayson Cole suffers the loss of his new wife and finds that it changes him over the passing years. Nora Banks has been smitten with Grayson Cole for quite some time. However, instead of Grayson calling upon her she finds his brother calling upon her and wanting to court her. This book has incredible characters, romance, tragedy, healing, second …
I could not put the down. I read the books 1 thru 5 in 7 days. Great books
I was disappointed in this book as I like CHRIATIAN! books and this tried to be but failed badly. I didn’t like the descriptions of what happens in a bedroom. I’m married so I know happens there, but I DO NOT want to read about it.
This was just an ok read but not something I would like to read again. Somehow I do not like it when the H takes so long to commit to the h even when he knows he loves the h so much because of the fear of getting hurt again like when his first wife died.
Enjoyed the book and will probably look for more by this author.
I enjoyed this story so much I wish the book had continued with their lifes story in the wilderness setting.
Really easy to read, kept my interest. Great series.
There was too much extra going on that did not add to the story.
I loved all the books in this series. They are entertaining and very easy to read. You can easily imagine yourself a part of this family dynasty. If you like western historical fiction you will like this series of stories.
enjoyed reading the book.
This is a story of finding love and losing it. The author presents a good picture of grief over losing love and the healing that takes place.
