Blue Echohawk doesn’t know who she is. She doesn’t know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn’t attend school until she was ten years old. At nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving on with life, she is just a senior in high school. With no mother, no father, no faith, and no future, Blue Echohawk is a difficult student, to … to say the least. Tough, hard and overtly sexy, she is the complete opposite of the young British teacher who decides he is up for the challenge, and takes the troublemaker under his wing.
This is the story of a nobody who becomes somebody. It is the story of an unlikely friendship, where hope fosters healing and redemption becomes love. But falling in love can be hard when you don’t know who you are. Falling in love with someone who knows exactly who they are and exactly why they can’t love you back might be impossible.

This is still one of the best redemption stories I’ve ever read. Amy Harmon’s books are always very original and read like poetry, using vivid imagery and fantastic story-telling techniques to draw the reader into the character’s world.
Ready is emotionally drvien. Loved this book.
Really liked book. Didn’t want to put book down.Good characters, enjoyed it very much left me wanting more.
I LOVED this book!!!
Very different read, loved from start to finish.
A Different Blue was one of those books that you can get lost in ~ will Blue get it together after high school?, is there more than friendship between Blue and her history teacher?, will she ever discover her biological family?, etc. Good read!
When I first read the synopsis for this I was skeptical. I thought it would be a bit cliche and not that special.
I am spectacularly pleased to admit I was wrong!
Honestly I think this book changed my perspective on life. It was so deeply emotional and was so unique. I loved how it used the arts as a lens to see people through.
I loved pretty …
This book took me by surprise! Everyone in GR loved it so it became a must read for me, yet I wasn’t quite sure what it was about, was it a love story, a Biker, Mma, billionaire , college…..no to say the least “A Different Blue” was one of those books that surprises you up till the very end and like every story or puzzle the pieces come together …
This book is tragic. There is a HEA,but barely. SPOILER: heroine has hard, awful, promiscuous life. Gets pregnant and has to make choices. I find it very hard to believe that she is so detached from her child and ok with tge arrangement. Not reading more from this author, life is depressing enough.
The characters from Blue Echohawk on are exceptionally well detailed and their interactions are compelling reading. A truly great book!
Good story. A little slow on the romance end.
I’ve never had a book grab me and emotionally wring me out as A Different Blue did. I identified with Blue on many levels yet at the same time I could identify with Wilson. I loved every word and nuance of this book.
A great story with very interesting background info.!
Surprisingly enchanting
I loved this book! Couldnt put it down and had a very unexpected ending
Interesting plot, sucked in from the beginning. Interesting twist at the end.
I really enjoyed this story and this book. I definitely recommend it and this author. I look forward to reading more work from her.
I enjoyed this book. Loved the characters.
Loved, loved, loved this original fairy tale book. Awesome read!!!
This book was a surprise, the good kind obviously, hence the 5 stars. I’m not sure what I was expecting but the story was well written, the characters believable and the plot found me alternating from awed at the main characters strength and moved to tears by her vulnerability. It was easy to block out my reality and enter the world of Blue and …
