Praise to Courtney for sharing a beautiful story of being blessed by Brenna.
This was a very informative book. I learned a lot about autism. A beautiful example of love.
Sweet story.
Too preachy for me, but beautiful storyline
Powerful food for thought. It has changed how I look at others. I think I see through Jesus’ eyes better now.
Touching story.
Love Prevails When Life is Not Easy
Very enjoyable and gripping. Opened my eyes and heart.
Have let others know about this book.
I appreciated this mother’s honesty in talking about her love for the daughter who was not the daughter she was expecting but who was nonetheless beautiful in her eyes. It reminds us to look past outward differences to see the perfection God created in individuals we may see around us every day
This book about being different in a modern world is very inspiring. The characters are strong and honest. Great book, especially for people with children to help them learn how to respond to differences in people
A Different Beautiful is a story of faith and strength. We can all be inspired by it.
This is a sweet book, but a litle long and hard to finish. I was deeply touched by the true story.
Amazing true story
Amazing story of raising a handicapped daughter. So many insights into their daily life and what we can do to make life easier and brighter for any handicapped person. I wish I had known some of her insights when we were raising our children like reading stories with handicapped people in them. How important it is to expose young children to all the differences of people while they are young! Beautiful story! Loved their faith lessons too!
I’ve read 700 books in 4 years & this book is WONDERFUL and unforgettable. If everyone would read this book, the world wouldl be a better place. Beautifully written.
This book was great in taking challenges no matter what they are and looking for the beauty.
This book is so awesome. I really want o meet brenna, she seems like an awesome little girl. Is book has taught me to be not so rude to people who have medical conditions. It has made me cry and laugh. Highly recommend it!!
I had hoped to have more first-person description of the author’s life with her child, but it was mostly thoughts and musings and things she had learned from her experiences. Having also raised a child who was born with a genetic defect, I even disagree with some of the conclusions she came to as a result of her experiences. I’m sure it was good therapy for her to write this book, though. She certainly is a much deeper thinker than I am.
So many things and eye opening how any one handicapped or different in any way just wants to be treated as normal. Spiritually it spoke to me as well! Helpful and informative to be more sensitive to others and teaching that we are all the same no matter how we appear different.
Very beautifull
