How far are you willing to go to win back the person you love? For someone as desperate as Rayonus, the answer is pretty damn far. For six hundred years, demon Rayonus Rixa has used the threat of his destructive power to fund his nomadic, mercenary lifestyle and hasn’t had the time or inclination to care about someone other than himself. The day the demon hierarchy tasked him with a job unlike … hierarchy tasked him with a job unlike any other, that all changed, and in turn, he changed. Whether that was for the better was debatable until the moment he met the person who made him stop in his tracks.
Penelope Osbourne was unlike anyone he had ever met. Sassy, beautiful, and a little crazy for her favorite TV angel, he knew she would be it for him. In Penelope, he had finally found a future that didn’t include death or general mayhem. And then, in typical demon fashion, he promptly screwed it up ten ways to Sunday.
With nothing left to lose, Rayonus sets out to do the impossible by any means necessary, and if that means he has to become a model citizen of Havenwood Falls, then that’s what he’ll do. For her, he will do anything.
Welcome to the secluded mountain town of Havenwood Falls, home to sexy men, strong women, and neighbors who bite. Discover supernatural mystery, thrills, and romance in a place where everyone has a deep, dark, and often deadly secret.

Best Read Ever!!
Once I started reading this book I just couldn’t put it down. It had all of my emotions working overtime. One minute you find yourself laughing so hard you need to find a restroom, then you might be growling cause Ray has pissed you off. I will say the humor for the book was excellent.
This book takes for a little trip into the underworld and I must say it sounds like a rather scary place. Although Penny’s sass makes everything worth it. Loved it.
Until Next Time… Tabi
I loved Ray and Penny’s story. Seeing Cam and Mavis was great too! I wish there would have been more of the dad drama, it felt too rushed to me personally. It wasn’t a bad story, don’t get me wrong but more would have been nice!
Just when you think demons are all nasty, evil creature you get to know the demons that call Havenwood Falls their home. Rayonus Rixa is a six hundred year old demon who is renowned for his destructive power and nefarious activities, but everything changes for him when he has to try to win back Penelope Osbourne’s heart after he betrayed her trust.
This story is funny, steamy and thoroughly enjoyable. It is a quick, easy read that tells a story of relationships, acceptance and love. We get to have a tour of the Havenwood Falls underworld, see Ray’s home, and enjoy the snarky repartee between Mavis, Ray and Penny. I will look forward to reading more about the characters in the future books.
This novella had me in giggles fits. The banter between Rayonus, Cameron and Mavis is pure gold. Demons can be funny, who knew. When Penelope discovers something and her reaction…love it. She is a little spitfire at times. All four characters are witty, and lovable.
There is one line in the book I absolutely love. Penelope said it to a she-demon. Then it was said a couple more times towards the end. It is funny and sexy. I’d like a supe to say it to.
A Demon’s Redemption is in my top 5 favorites in the Havenwood Falls series. JD Nelson, please keep writing more of Rayonus, Penelope, Mavis and Cameron.
Ray has messed up bad, but he is trying so hard to fix things. Penelope is mad and has every right to be…but will she ever forgive him??
I just loved this story. Penny is awesome and so sassy. I love her spirit. Ray is trying really hard to make up for his past. Cameron and Mavis are awesome as well. I really hope that one day we get more of all these guys!
We met these two characters in a previous book about Mavis and Cameron (Soul Laid Bare) and am so happy to read Ray and Penny’s story!
Rayonus is a 600-year-old demon working for the demon hierarchy and tasked with watching the demon children in Havenwood Falls. Now…after the problems he caused Mavis and Penny in the last book…Ray is working overtime to get their forgiveness and prove his love to Penny.
Penny is an outspoken, headstrong, woman that will make Ray pay for his Demon deeds. Soon she finds out why Ray is working so hard for her forgiveness and realizes that she needs his protection now more than ever.
This story is a full-length novel but a fast read. Can’t wait for the next authors set of characters.
