Second chances are always costly, and at The Academy of the Devil, the price you have to pay for weakness is high. Get ready. Class is in session again, and this year, the lessons we have to learn are tougher than ever. It’s official. I must be cursed. After my hellish first year at The Academy of the Devil, I thought I was prepared for anything. But things never work the way they should at this … way they should at this damn school, and as my second year begins, it becomes obvious that my troubles have just begun.
My relationship with Callum, Stefan, and Mikael is still as confusing as ever. I have no idea where I stand with them and they’re not doing any better. My new bond with Mikael adds even more complications to the mix, because even if we’re the ones who are part of the House of Envy, the green-eyed monster is alive and well in Callum and Stefan too.
To make matters worse, the students aren’t very happy with the idea of having a nephilim in their midst. The dethroned prince of the school isn’t safe from anyone, not anymore, and I don’t know how to help him.
Then, there’s Dean Mephistopheles, who’s starting to pay an alarming amount of attention to me. And against my better judgment, I find myself drawn to him too.
I don’t know what will happen now, but one thing is certain. My second year at The Academy of the Devil is certainly going to be demonic.
A Demonic Year Two is a 81k words paranormal reverse harem romance that contains steamy scenes between the heroine, three temperamental demons, and a very possessive headmaster. 3.5 stars for A Demonic Year Two by Eva Brandt. This is book two in the Academy of the Devil Series. This book picks up right where book one left us. I still didn’t get the romance I was craving, but I did shed a couple of tears for Alyssa. “Too late did I realize that love could be just as destructive as hatred, if not more so, and a demon’s love was just as dangerous as his enmity.” I do understand what Eva Brandt is trying to do. She wants us to see that we should love and accept those we love , even with their faults. The faults are what make them who they are. If that makes sense. I just think it might not have been as clear and some may want. I still enjoyed looking for the deeper meaning.
This book was darker than book one, that is for sure. I am finding this story intriguing, I am just missing the romance. I am starting book three now.
This second book is every bit as good as the first if not better! Well written this is an emotional read filled with love, heartbreak and betrayal, secrets, mystery and darkness ! A hot and sexy and magical paranormal read with a great storyline and fab characters and I cannot wait to read more!
A Demonic Year Two by Eva Brandt is the second book in the Academy of the Devil. As this book begins, Lyssa and her familiars Shiro and Mikael are at the academy during the summer break getting one on one tutoring from Dean Mephistopheles and other teachers to get Lyssa caught up on her academy studies. Then as the second year of studies begins Lyssa believes remaining at the Academy of the Devil might actually be enjoyable due to her relationship with the schools three princes Callum, Stefan, and Mikael. Then something happens and it changes everything. This book is a suspense filled mystery where I was enchanted one minute and excited by the turn of events next. I found the story so compelling to read I couldn’t put it down. If you enjoy a book full of twists, turns, and lots of adventure, you will love this book as much as I do. A Demonic Year Two is a compelling read about discovering the grey area between good and evil.
Demonic for sure!
Yes, yes, yes, a million times yes, Eva Brandt does an amazing job and I’m addicted to the series, definitely one of my most favorite PNR Academy series (as I can’t choose a favorite, why choose?)
I love the description of the world as this story continues, not too much to take away from the story, but just paints the picture perfectly. I did find a few questions answered but as the story develops more questions pop up, so need book 3 ASAP…
Things certainly heat up and a roller-coaster of emotions and events occur that can leave you breathless and on the edge of your seat as is said Demonic Love “this is something different, destructive yet satisfying and all consuming.” The sexy scenes are hot and at times surprising, but enjoyed every minute. We get the addition in the harem as well as a little more of the allusive, Lucifer. What could possible happen next? Can’t wait to find out.
A Demonic Year Two: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Bully Romance by Eva Brandt is a great story to read. This is book number two in this great series that I have enjoyed reading very much. I recommend this story to everyone who likes reading about LGBT and erotic romances in their stories.

This is the second book in this series and I am enjoying it so much. I really like all characters in this and just everything about it. Honestly can’t wait to find out more in the next book and where it all goes with them
The second year is explosive and full of nothing but passion, confusion, love, and heartbreak. With how hard things were the first year, the heat is turned up as well as the danger. Alyssa is in a tumultuous relationship with the 3 princes and now the headmaster is also someone she can rely on. Im excited to see what happens next in the third year!

Awesome read, well written with a great plot and characters. I was engrossed from start to finish. * heed warning the author gives…..there are some darker themes. I absolutely love this series so far and like the added spice! Can’t wait to read the next book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout
Loved this book. We have some suspense, mystery and oh so much want for these guys. We have Alyssa who is still struggling with the school and her feelings for the 4 men in her life. They still have a problem with my men, but who cares. What will happen when she finds out about some lies? What will happen if they perform so magic? Can she forgive? Can she protect? Why is everyone so scared of a human? Will my guys survive this year with me? What about is really happening this year at the academy?

I did enjoy the read. Book 2 starts right where book 1 left off. There were still the same issues in book 2 that book one had as far as some spelling and grammatical errors. I still needed more from the author in the character building category. I can’t give 1/2 stars but if I could I would give this read 3.5 starts.

This was an amazing continuation to the Academy of the Devil series! In the ending of Year One, Alyssa definitely earned her place in this school, but still has to learn to wield her new powers. As Lyssa enters her second year, classes are harder, students are crueler, and nothing is as it seems. Lyssa has taken on Mikael’s role of the head of The House of Envy and when she meets Leviathan, he warns her to start looking for her own answers instead of relying on others. It feels like Lyssa has gone through a lot of character growth between the missing time in book one and book two for better and for worse. Her familiar bond with Mikael, TB, and Shiro is unique and trying at times. She’s also let Callum and Stefan in her life more since they helped save Shiro and she constantly gives them the benefit of the doubt. Things with Dean Mephistopheles are heating up no matter how much she tries to stay faithful to Callum, Mikael, and Stefan, but she’s not always in control. Lyssa goes on an emotional rollercoaster ride, leaving her not knowing who to trust from heartbreak and betrayal. This book was filled with many secrets, suspense, mystery, darkness, and steamy scenes and leaves you begging for the last book!

This is the first book I have read I had to download the first Academy of the Devil book so I would be cought up. But there is something very addictive about this series the author takes love and stripes it bare and what would this book be without the hate and raw passion its not a book for someone expecting a paranormal romance its not even the typical reverse harem its grity and dirty a total mind f**k.
Last semester Alyssa was hated and pursued by the demon princes liked and hated by other demons but everyone has and agenda her everyone uses each other until Lyssa secret comes out then after one final act her former tormentors help her out.
In the Academy of the Devil semester Two Alyssa and her lovers grow closer but when there deciet is revealed she will turn to the Dean of the Academy for solace even Mephistopheles has and agenda but at the moment his only seems to be about Alyssa. More danger is coming nothing is ever simply at the Academy and trying to break things of with Mikael, Callum, and Stefan will bring consequence that Alyssa never saw coming. Because a Demons love may be twisted but you dont get to walk away from it with just regrets. And Lucifer is just waiting to claim his prize what dose he really want from Alyssa. One thing is for sure The demons are hot the passion hotter and the story can only get more twisted and intriguing from here. Dont start this story if dont want to be up all night you will definitely lose sleep then go nuts waiting for book 3 of the Academy of The Devil to come out.

I could not put this one down. I loved every word that was written. I cannot wait to see what Alyssa dose next. I still can’t figure out why she has so much power as a human? Also y dose everyone call her sacrifice and darkiling what dose it mean. What will become of her relationships, are there any lasting repercussions for the ritual they performed. Can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.
Received ARC from BookSprout for Honest Review.
I Give this book 3 Star Rating
Overall: an Ok Read
Heat: No Rating, it’s just the heroine seems very desperate and it was admittedly weird at times.
Romance: It’s there I guess..
Drama: 5/5
Suspense: 3.5/5
Cliffhanger(?) Yes.
I do know this book seemed much more different than the first book, Lucifer kinda made me weirdly uncomfortable a few times. And that’s disappointing cause I was looking forward to him a lot.
The book had more questions than answers, I just hope that the next book will enlighten me. Cause I need to finish this series to know what’s going to happen.
Would I recommend(?): I’m honestly not sure if I would or not.
Will I Read more from this Author? I mean the writing is decent, so yes.

Things are certainly hotting up in book 2 of this series. Lyssa is in her second year at the Academy of the Devil and the action as well as the bullying hasnt let up. Except the bullying has stopped being as much about her and now its her familiar/protector Mikael. A problem Lyssa wont put up with. The steam level rises in this book too with her him as well as with the other men in her life – Callum and Stefan. Three is definitely not a crowd with those three but another man has started to show an interest in Lyssa in this book. Dean Mephistopheles. Extra lessons from him is his office are hot as hell!!! Literally. Wow. Lyssa founds out some truths about herself and why shes even at this Academy in this book. With one big problem on her horizon and its made its intentions clear about what it wants from her. Big Time!! A great series. Witty, Funny, in parts i wanted to punch some folks and in others i wanted to cry but overall just a joy to read
This is a great sequel to “A Hellish Year One”. This book is intense, emotional and unpredictable. There is heart break, betrayals, realization of love and acceptance. Eva Brandt will capture you immediately with her books. So be prepared for anything to happen.
So we follow Alyssa’s second year at the Academy of the Devil. She goes on a rollercoaster of emotions this time around. So we know that Mikael is her familiar in this book and she is committed to help keep him from being bullied due to him being part Angel. Then you have Stephen and Callum who are interested in her now. She is giving them a chance since they helped bring Shiro back. So things get intense with these four. Let’s just say that it gets steamy! Then something happens and everything takes a turn for the worse. Oh Satan, I did not see that coming either. Then here comes Dean Meph and you can’t deny the attraction there. That still doesn’t help her situation but some things do come to the light and she isn’t happy about it. She does seem to finally accept something along the way which will hopefully will help control her magic. Can they four men help her or be her downfall. I got a feeling something big is about to happen. I cannot wait for the next book.

First off be aware of the warnings from the author at the beginning. ‘Demonic’ is darker and some of the content may not be your cup of tea. That being said what a riveting read! This second installment had me glued to my Kindle. How come Alyssa, being a human, has so much powers of her own? What does Sacrifice and darkling means for her? What are Lucifers intentions and plans? Still so many mysteries that still need to be uncovered. Can’t wait for ‘Sinful’ to come out.

This second book in the series really heats up as Lyssa and her boys return to the Halls of Hell for another year at Demon Academy. Bonds turn enemies into lovers; secrets and deceit tear merely forged relationships apart. This story is full of intrigue and plot twist as Lucifer makes an appearance and his intent known – he wants Lyssa. Why though, we don’t know. Can Lyssa survive another year of demonic machinations after this last one put her in a coma? It’s getting good.
