Samantha Martin is an imp, enjoying an extended vacation from Hel. All she wants to do is drink beer by the pool, play mischievous pranks on the humans, and get her hot neighbor in the sack. It’s a relaxing break from her infernal home as long as she manages to avoid the angels, who won’t hesitate to execute her on sight.
But when her naughty hellhound lands her in trouble with the local … local werewolf pack, Sam is blackmailed into helping track and catch a killer. The steps she must take to appease the werewolves will put her right in the crosshairs of the angels. And with angels, there is no second chance.

Super crazy funny awesome. Chaos abounds in this mischief-filled urban fantasy with a brazen imp of a heroine. This book sucked me into the rest of the series.
If you love my Loki, you’ll love Debra Dunbar’s “Sam.” A great book. Pick it up.
Fast paced and funny as hell with an unrepentant, unreformed bad-girl heroine.
This foul-mouthed, laugh-out-loud anti-heroine might just become your new best friend. I loved it!
Debra Dunbar’s A Demon Bound will have you turning the pages fast! Quirky and hysterical. This is a series you’ll want to read over and over again
This is the first book in the series. If you like a heroine (who happens to be an imp) who swears a lot, does what she wants, when she wants all the time only to discover that maybe she’s been on Earth too long because she starts to have “feelings” about right & wrong. Then she meets an angel that is sent to send her back to Hel & things really …
OMG!!! Sam is hilarious!!! LOVE HER!!! The best part (besides her mischievous attitude and wicked sense of humor) is that I think we’re just seeing the tip of the iceberg here. I think there is more to Sam than what we’ve been told so far, which by the way, I’m going to go back and read the prequels before I start Imp#2 with Dar. I need to know …
Love the way this book was written.
I read this book back when it first came out. I have loved the series ever since. There isn’t a funnier, more poignant series out there. Debra Dunbar has a wicked sense of humor, and Samantha is the goofiest Imp out there. You can’t help but fall in love with the craziest, most mixed up evil heroine ever to hit the pages of a novel. Start with …
Buckle up and get ready to binge read this addictive, laugh-out-loud series!
I loved how Samantha was the “Hero” but she let us know that she is still an imp and loves chaos, starting trouble, “rough” sex (with whomever), blood, guts, and glory. She was almost annoying at times but she still cracked me up.
When you want to root for the bad gal (or sort of bad gal), then grab this book. The voice of the character and the fact she embraces her demon-ness drew me in and kept me turning the page. Throw in a sexy human guy, a werewolf pack leader (an older woman), and a sexually ambiguous angel who are all after the REAL bad guy, and you have a fun romp …
A wickedly funny main character
Samantha Martin just wants the quiet life of a slumlord and to spend her days hanging out at her pool and drinking beer. The problem is she is an imp and demonkind are banned from Earth. If angels catch wind of her existence, she will be killed. When her dog gets her in trouble with the local werewolf pack, this …
Love this series! It’s a bit dark (particularly in the first few books) but definitely fun.
A Demon Bound (Imp #1) by Debra Dunbar is an awesome book about an imp living here pretending to be a human. She collects rent from those places that no one wants to go to because you could get your head caved in. She collects the money fine. She has to avoid angels, they will execute her on site. So, what happens, angel! It is a kick butt story …
This book was unexpected. When I looked at the cover I was not sure what to expect, yet I was certainly intrigued. The storyline of angels versus demons is a tale as old as time; however, Debra Dunbar was able to make her own unique twists with the world as we know it to keep it unique. There is a large presence of werewolves alongside the angels …
This series extremely funny and the world building is original. The main character is entirely demonic, but it’s impossible not to like her. She’s violent, ridiculous, and unrepentant, the ultimate anti-heroine. This book is not a ‘change of heart’ book either, she a bad girl, but you can’t help loving her. (After reading most of the series, I’d …
Audiobook Review: So glad the fine folks at Aural Fixation on Facebook recommended this title. Sam is the kind of gal we all kind of wish we could be. As a demoness living the good life on earth, complete with a career as a slumlord, a half-breed hellhound, and a nice homestead next to her BFF hottie neighbor, Sam has it made. She “owns” enough …
An original story line. Enjoyed it so much I have ust bought the second in the series. Top marks for an excellent story. 🙂
I enjoy this genre. Debra has done a great job in the entire series in keeping my interest and writing good story lines. Each book stands alone, I HATE cliff hangers, but the stories build off each other.
