New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover come together for a sexy new series that delivers romance for every season! Kiss the Blarney Stone, Hope Dunn is going to need some good ole fashion Irish luck! In the chaos of tax season the Arizona accountant is pulled away to stand in her cousin’s wedding. All it takes is one step back in the Big Apple, and she … and she regrets making the trip. True to character, her mother uses their time together to hound Hope about getting married and settling down.
Still, Hope fulfills her bridesmaid obligations by joining the bridal party for a shamrock wearing, pint chugging St. Paddy’s day blow out. There she runs into best man—and smokin’ hot ginger—Kellan Townsend. Far too much green beer later, she finds out exactly what that fine Irish lad keeps under his kilt.
Afterwards, Hope wants nothing more than to walk of shame her way into a dark room and nurse her hangover. Unfortunately, wedding demands won’t allow it. As if facing Kellan isn’t awkward enough, her mother picks that moment to launch into a fresh guilt-trip over her lack of grandbabies. Like a lucky little Leprechaun, Kellan cuts in with a magical offer.
A pretend romance to get her mother off her back seems like a wish granted. But Kellan has an agenda all his own. Can he use this opportunity to jig his way straight into Hope’s heart? Or will he need a four-leaf clover to get past this workaholic’s defenses?

A nice fun St Patty’s theme quick read. With a little bit of luck and some good ol Guinness, buried feelings come back hard and heavy! The attraction between these two is amazing. Kellan has had feelings for Hope since High school, but never felt he was worthy of her. After she comes home for her cousins wedding, meddling mother’s push Hope and Kellan together. Sure it may have started as somewhat of a cover, but they both know deep down it was just the push they needed.
Right in the middle of tax season, Arizona accountant Hope is not stuck behind her desk with her nose to the grindstone. Nope, she’s back home in NYC because she’s a bridesmaid in her cousin’s wedding. Keeping her laptop close by to work as she can, she’s got no time for her mother’s incessant meddling into her love life. While fulfilling her bridesmaid duties, she runs into Kellan, the best man, and hottie extraordinaire. Even though she’s known him for years, she can definitely appreciate just how fine he’s turned out. When Kellan overhears Hope’s mother threatening to set her up for a date for the wedding, he steps in. Now Kellan and Hope are a couple, and everyone’s thrilled. Too bad it’s not a real relationship… or can it be?
I think this is the best in the series so far!! I absolutely love Kellan, by far my favorite book boyfriend this year. I loved the story, the characters, and the writing. This has become my favorite series of the year. I can’t wait to see what’s coming next from these authors.
I greatly enjoyed reading this short story! I truly felt for Hope and I can completely picture Kellan as a sexy ginger!
Hmmmm…. yep, I can picture him with no problems… no problems at all…
I think I just kicked him and claimed him as mine….
So these two are in the wedding party to her cousin and his best friend. They haven’t seen each other in YEARS. And back then, Kellan had a girlfriend.
That’s okay, now is the right time because this one does have a HEA!
You’ll love this one!
This book was absolutely fantastic!! Its one of the best story stories I’ve read in a while! Both authors did an amazing job on the storyline, characters, and grammar. I loved the characters!! Wish there would be another story on these characters!! Great job ladys!!
The third installment in The Date series. This time up Hope and Kellan for some Irish Wedding fun on St. Patrick’s day no less. Quick easy read by two amazing authors.
This story was so sweet. Two people who have known each other a long time but had fallen out of contact, reunite for their family/friend’s wedding and end up playing fake date to get their mothers off their backs.
I love that this was written around my holiday, St Patrick’s Day. I love that everyone got so dressed up and into it too.
This was not really a second chance romance but yet kind of was. Kellan and Hope had hung out in the same group since her cousin and his best friend were together. Kellan has always had a thing for Hope but the timing was never right. He gets his chance to play the hero and spend more time with Hope, from there things just blossom.
This was cute, quick and a good read.
She lives and works in Arizona, he lives and works in New York. Can their long-distance romance last?
Hope is back for her cousin Hallie’s wedding in New York though it’s the busiest time of year at her law firm. She’d do anything for Hallie. Even put up with her mother’s badgering about marriage and grandbabies. But when Hope’s mother threatens to invite a friend’s obnoxious son to be Hope’s date at the wedding she has to think fast. Enter Kellan, a former classmate and handsome best man who has had a crush on Hope for some time. She’s the kind of woman one would bring home to their mother. And after one-night with Hope he would do anything to get more nights with her before she leaves for Arizona. So when opportunity knocks, he steps in and saves Hope from the date from hell, by claiming they’re a couple. Going along with it, Hope finds herself falling for the kind and sexy Irishman as he is falling for her. Can they make the long-distance romance work?
I’m still trying to get used to novellas which always leave me guessing what will happen in the future. However, I like how Hope and Kellan go for it and are willing to make sacrifices to be together. Their attraction is immediate and believable due to their past and their maturity and the book ends with a surprise and a positive note.
Overall, this is a romantic novella told in dual POVs and includes St. Patrick’s Day, green beer, a wedding, and a HEA. And how could one resist an endearment like “lassie” said in a whisper in a husky Irish brogue? shiver
Thank you to Ms. McLaughlin and Ms. Dover for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
I am loving this new series by Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover. I consider them quick, feel good romances, the perfect pick me up on a rough day. A Date for Good Luck begins on St. Patricks day in New York City. What an amazing idea being able to celebrate your nuptials with the whole city.
Hope isn’t really thrilled about it. She would rather be back in Arizona working than drinking. And when her mother starts in about grand babies, Hope is looking for a place to hide. Or at least to pretend she is dating someone.
Kellan, as best man, is in charge of helping Stewart celebrate his upcoming nuptials. He has planned. He has arranged. The only problem is the Bride and Groom want to be together. Kellan is brought close to his secret infatuation. He can only hope she sees him.
When the opportunity comes for Kellan to save the day how can he refuse. He steps in and pretends to be her boyfriend. What can go wrong? More importantly, what can go right?
There is always hope. There is always the chance that Hope and Kellan can find a happily ever after.
A Date for Good Luck had me smiling with every page. It was nice to have a story that avoids all the complications that seem to riddle many of the romance stories as of late. A Date for Good Luck was realistic and just plain fun.
Happy Release Day!!! I read it again. Still amazing. Still all the emotions. Still the thrilling moments. Still the wonderful characters.
A Date for Good Luck is the next book in this wonderful dating series by the dynamic duo of Dover & McLaughlin. They have once again hit it out of the RomCom park with Hope and Kellan.
Hope is traveling across the country to her hometown..the Big Apple for a family wedding. She is knee deep in work and will also have her mother breathing down her neck regarding her non-existent relationship status !
Kellan is a very successful business man that has found himself in the thick of best man duties. When he soon realizes that his old crush is in town and in the wedding. It never seemed the right time for them but now that they are both single he is ready to make his move. When he finds out that her mother is trying to set her up with a date for the wedding in jumps in to help and proclaims himself her boyfriend….talk about seizing the day!
The attraction is strong, they have a fabulously funny sexy witty banter but when the festivities are over will the charade of their relationship also be done !!?? This couple has wonderful chemistry and very entertaining supporting cast!!!

A Date for Good Luck is book 3 in the The Dating Series. It can be read as a standalone. I’m really enjoying these short novellas. It’s a short quick read and I was able to read through it during the kids nap-time. Hope is home for her cousins weeding which is taking place near St Patrick’s day. I liked Hope. She’s a hard worker and putting career before marriage and babies. Her mom is pushing for her to get married and give her grand babies. Kellan is the best-man at her cousins wedding. He’s a sweet guy. They have great chemistry together. Hope really isn’t looking for a relationship but Kellan has other ideas. I liked these two together.
A Date for Good Luck
Book 3 The Dating Series
This story is an amazing addition to the series! Love the characters! What a very nice sweet romance! Can’t wait for the next book!
“I go through moments where I just want to cry. I’ve never been like that before. Then again, I’ve never been in love with someone the way I am with him. Having to say goodbye all the time gets harder and harder.”
“What I love most is the stars in the sky. There are so many, and it looks as if they’re close enough to touch.”
This again was a fun quick read.
Hope Dunn has come home (New York) for her cousin’s wedding. She hasn’t been home in a long time because she has been busy with work in Arizona. While home her mother bugs her about her love life, if she has a boyfriend or not. Pretending to have a boyfriend gets her off of Hope’s back at least for now. Going out with the wedding party to celebrate the upcoming nuptials has her running into Kellan Townsend.
Kellan Townsend is the groom’s best friend. He also happens to be Irish and celebrating a wedding the week of St. Patrick’s day is more of a week thing instead of just a day. When he sees Hope Dunn he knows that it is now or never.
When they end up in Kellan’s home after the bachelor and bachelorette things between them change. When Kellan steps up and pretends to be Hope’s boyfriend things change even more. However, when hope goes back to Arizona will they be able to keep up with a long distance relationship?
Overall this was a fun quick read and can’t wait to read what these two come up with.
This book was so fun to read. I love the idea of a theme bachelorette party. The writing has great humor and keeps you entertained throughout. The characters are my favorites of the first three novellas. They have great personality and they could easily be your best friends. The plot is planned out perfectly and even though the story is short it is packed with so much goodness. This is one of those reads that just makes you smile. Add it to your TBR you won’t be disappointed.
A Date for Good Luck..is super cute!!
Hope and Kellan are workaholics. Both of their mothers are constantly asking them when they are going to settle down and get married. Neither one seems interested in a relationship. When they end up in the same wedding party and then pretend to be a couple…”is it really pretend?” What starts out as pretend turns into something more. Even though this is a short novella it is a great story.
A Date for Good Luck is a sweet, fun, and sexy read. Hope and Kellan have a intense attraction to one another, will this be a weekend fling or more? I’m looking forward to the next book in this series, from this terrific writing duo.
A Date for Good Luck is the next in the series by Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover, in their Dating Series. The series is six novellas based on the calendar. This particular story takes place around a wedding and St. Patrick’s Day. Hope and Kellan are both in the wedding and have known each other for years. Hope is now living and working in Arizona and hasn’t seen Kellan in some time. So begins the fall-in-love cute that this story is. I like the story is not forced; the romance between the characters seems to flow very well. Kellan is charming and makes an effort to sweep Hope off her feet. Hope’s attraction to Kellan builds, and her falling for him reads romantically true. A Date for Good Luck is a short, sweet read that will leave you smiling and looking forward to the next Date by these authors.
When Hope and Kellan see each other again while she’s in town for her cousin’s wedding, neither can keep their eyes off the other. And later, their hands…can a little pretend relationship with Kellan be the solution to keep her mom off her back about dating and giving her grandbabies? But what about the fact that Hope is set to head back to Arizona after the wedding and Kellan’s life is in New York? Can they do the long-distance thing?
I’ve really been liking this Dating series, and I think A Date for Good Luck is the sweetest one yet. Kellan, damn, that boy is a fine Irish lad with the sweetest heart! Hope’s a lucky woman and the perfect match for her ginger. Definitely can’t wait for the next novella in this awesome series.

A DATE FOR GOOD LUCK is another quick read: a fast paced, flirty and fun story about family and friendships, relationships and love.
I read early copies of the first two novellas in the series and enjoyed them, so I was looking forward to this novella releasing! I then received an early copy of it and I made it my next read! After reading, I can say that I enjoyed this novella just as much as the others! The plot was interesting and I enjoyed what happened in it! It developed at a nice pace as well and kept me wanting to read on! This novella only took me one sitting to read as well because of how short it was! There was plenty of romance in the plot and I loved the way it developed and the way the authors progressed it! The romance allowed for a few seriously hot scenes as well! There wasn’t any action or suspense in the plot, but I wasn’t expecting any as the plot mainly focused on romance! The ending of this novella was also left at quite a surprising ending, but it left me wanting more and to find out how things were going to progress for the characters! The characters were also amazing and made this novella even better! Hope was the main female character, and in this novella she discovered what was really important in life as she was a workaholic and she lived further away from her family! Hope learned a lot from her love interest and I also felt sorry for her because she was single and her family wanted her to find someone and be happy! Hope definitely found the perfect guy for her in this novella lol! Kellan was the main male character and love interest of Hope! I loved Kellan in this novella! He was very straight with Hope about how he felt about her and where he wanted their relationship to go! It was also easy to see how Kellan felt about Hope as soon as he saw her again and how much he loved her! He also supported her and helped her when she needed it! This told me a lot about the kind of guy Kellan was! I loved that this novella was written from both Hope and Kellan’s point of views! I was expecting it to be written from both characters point of views because the other novellas were written from dual point of view and this novella is written by two authors! It helped me connect more with Hope and Kellan and see how they really felt about each other and how they were dealing with things! It allowed for a few more things to happen in the plot as well, which helped as Hope and Kellan did spend some time apart! I now can’t wait to read the next novella in this series! I know that it’s going to be a standalone, but I’m still really excited to read it! I’ll definitely be anticipating its release! I know that it releases at the end of June, which isn’t long of a wait at all and the synopsis sounds very intriguing! The cover for this novella is absolutely perfect for it! I love it a lot and I love how well it suits the other covers in the series! The cover also suits the theme of the novella and it would draw me to the novella!
I am so in love with the dating series! These novellas are quick perfect reads, perfect reads to put a smile on your face. Hope and Kellan have some instant chemistry after not seeing each other for awhile. Loved this super sweet romantic read!
