A Definite Must Read! Perfection with words.
This book has a little bit of everything, romance, suspense, drama and a perfect happily ever after. The only negative is wishing the book was longer. Then again, hopefully the books later in the series provide updates on Parker & Sara and Palmer too. This book had me hooked and on the edge of my seat which is refreshing in the romance genre. While I did receive an advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley, I purchased the book and am voluntarily leaving my opinion with this voluntary review.
Great story!
Compelling characters and story.
New man in town owns carpenter business, falls in love witha restaurant owner; and
Through tragedy and frightening situations finds an unknown brother. Too much explicite sex.
Great summer read!
More mystery than love story. I really liked the townspeople of Pride. I liked the hero. I liked the heroein. They very quickly fall in love … much as her parent’s did. But, the mysteries drive the story. They are exciting.
There are 3 of 4 pages of them having sex. It is mild. you can easily skip it. The story is worth skipping the sex. It is nowhere near porn.
Some good twists in the story.
Great book
Great book. Great author. Get it you won’t be sorry.
Good story with plenty of catching up on the characters in the first books set in Pride. I recommend all of the books I have read by this author about the people of Pride, Oregon, but they all stand on their own.
Determined to put down roots in a place that could be home, Parker finds himself settling in the town of Pride, Oregan. In a place where small town life reigns supreme, everyone knows the latest gossip and who resides within the borders. With his sights set on building a successful carpentry business, Parker finds himself with the task of renovating the Golden Oar restaurant. If Parker can dazzle with this job, his business will definitely increase due to the word of mouth.
Running a restaurant can be a tedious task, one that Sara has longed for. Determined to show her Uncle just how valuable she can be, Sara steps up to run the business while the renovations are taking place. The restaurant is supposed to be remodeled while Sara’s uncle is enjoying a trip abroad, a pretty straightforward task. Everything was going as planned until a series of unexplained events that put Sara in danger began to occur. With both of their reputations on the line, Sara and Parker set out to uncover who is attacking the restaurant.
A Dash of Love is the first book in the Pride, Oregon series by Jill Sanders. It was one of those sweet romances that have just the right touch of discovery, longing, and finding that one true love. The addition of uncovering who was sabotaging the restaurant made things a bit more interesting. While the story was predictable to me, it possessed the nuances that make those guaranteed happy endings put a smile on your face. This novel is definitely a GREAT beach read or romance to pull you through those winter blues. Overall a sweet story that will leave you ready to uncover more of the series!
When you have lost everything why not start over, in Pride OR where they take pride in all the do. This book was so fun I thought this book was going to be just your traditional love story only to have the author to add some suspense to it. What I liked about this suspense book it was built up the author didn’t just through it out all at once. I love how with Sara’s family it was just that all about family and town pride and all about being there for each other no matter what. I love how they included others in to make them “family” too. I felt like I was catching up with friends truly, this book is not a group of perfect people but a group of imperfect people who loved each other. There is some adult language, This book to was a quick read and oh so good.
This is a contemporary romance with a little mystery thrown in. It is quick reading and leaves you with a good feeling. The characters are likable, even if Sara didn’t like Parker to start with. Parker more than made up for it with his attraction to her. A little romance, a little mystery, family complications, a restaurant and a sexy hero. The romance was balanced with some good steamy scenes. It’s a go for me!
I received a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley.
I truly loved reading this book!
It’s a wonderful romance, suspense story!
Parker’s life had been turned upside
down. He needed to start someplace
new. Passing through Pride, he found what he was looking for.
Sara, has been waiting to finally manage The Oar, her family’s restaurant.
Her uncle hired Parker to remodel the restaurant, while Sara manages The Oar.
As Parker & Sara’s attraction grows,
so do all the strange accidents that keep happening to them.
The emotions, the humor & their chemistry pulled me in, & the suspense kept me hooked, till the end!!!
I enjoyed this story, thank you.
Great characters and story line.
Another good read by Jill Sanders. Cute love story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I also purchased a copy.
What a sweet story. I loved the characters. Two strong independent people coming together in the best possible way. The book had my favorite dual POV. That really helps me to understand the character so much better. I loved the close knit family and community of Pride. I will have to go back and read the other stories as their characters were fantastic as well.
I loved the suspense that was in this book as well. The plot was wonderful and just perfect. It wasn’t too long and drawn out nor too short so everything was tied up nicely. I highly recommend.
Sara Jordan has always wanted to run the family restaurant, so when her uncle leaves her in charge while he takes his wife on a much needed 1-month vacation, she is ready to take charge. Parker Clark is new to town and runs his own construction company. He is hired by Sara’s uncle to fix up the family restaurant. When Sara and Parker meet, there is an instant and undeniable attraction. While at first they try to hide their mutual attraction since they must work together, it soon becomes obvious that their strong feelings cannot be broken.
This is not your typical romance story as there are some hidden secrets, unexpected incidents, and a bit of suspense. If you enjoy a sweet and sexy romance that includes a bit of mystery, suspense, and a little action, then this is one to add to your “to be read” pile.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy from NetGalley.
So nice to be back in Pride. I love that we still get to check in with the people we fell in love with in the Pride series, but now it’s the next gen’s turns. These new characters are all wonderful and I already know I am going to be just as hooked on their stories. Just like the original series, this story has oodles of charm and romance. It’s a little bit sweet, a little bit sexy and whole lot of entertaining.
Sara is a sweetheart, I just love her. She is Todd & Megan’s daughter and is now her Uncle Iian is giving her the chance to run the Golden Oar. However it needs a lot of updating, so in walks Parker. He is sexy and charming and the carpenter her uncle hires to do the work on the building. I love their back and forth and everything in between. They have fantastic chemistry that carries them so well both in and out of the bedroom. They are fun and sexy together. I love them as a couple and I was rooting for their HEA so hard!
There is a whole lot happening during this renovation besides what is happening between Sara and Parker that makes for a pretty exciting mystery of sorts.
I really enjoyed this whole story from cover to cover!
