Eliza Montgomery is up to her matchmaking. This time it involves her son.
Carter and Emery went to high school together and have a love hate relationship.
Carter is a chef and restaurant owner who is helping his mother publish a Christmas cook book.
Emery is trying to stay out of the public eye, due to her fiancé being accused of inappropriate sexual behavior towards multiple women.
Eliza decides that Emery is the perfect woman to help Carter with the cook book.
Will the spirit of Christmas bring them together?
A Dash of Christmas is book ten in the Montgomery Brothers series. I enjoyed Carter and Emery’s story. The chemistry was there, whether they were arguing or doing something else. When it feels real in a story, it’s easy to get lost in it, as if I’m watching a good movie. Definitely one not to be missed.
A Dash of Christmas by Samantha Chase is the last and final book in the The Montgomery Brothers series. I have loved, savored, and devoured each and every book. I couldn’t get enough! And Carter and Emery’s story didn’t disappoint. Their banter was so hilarious and spot on. So many laugh out loud moments. And their sizzling chemistry was SMOKING!!
From the start i was hooked . i couldn’t put my kindle down. No one can captivate an audience quite like Mrs Chase. Her romances are so believable, you find yourself rooting for the couples. Her romances usually contain small amounts of angst and drama which I love. Sometimes I just want the sweet drama free, fun, sexy stories with characters that I always ADORE! And that epilogue all I could do was smile the whole time I read it. This book was a PERFECT way to end this series! Well done Samantha Chase!
By and large holiday love stories are not my go to genre, with that said, give me a Samantha Chase holiday story and all of a sudden I am ready for lights, trees, carols, eggnog…the whole shebang! Carter and Em have a great dynamic and I thoroughly enjoyed their history of tension. The way they learned about each other and their backgrounds was heartwarming and at times very poignant. The visualization of the Christmas decor and recipes had me reminiscing of my family holidays and thinking of what meals or events stand out.
Their conversations were full of sass and zest which I am always here for! This was the first story to see all the dynamics at play since the big loss in the previous book. Many scenes had me smiling with tears in my eyes over this family and the love and humor they bring to so many scenes. Maylene was star of the show (as it should be) and how Carter tied their conversations and observation around Maylene into a beautiful moment in present had me cheering!
As with all SC stories the writing grabbed my attention and emotions. Even after finishing the story I love thinking about this family and how sneaky the parents were finding the kids love and how many life lessons all Montgomery’s shared with us over this series.
Thank for the chance to read this story and share my opinion!
I got this book in return for my honest opinion. This is the last book in The Montgomery Brothers series and im sad to see it end.
Samantha Chase knows how to make u fall in love with her words. Carter and Emery are the greats characters ever. I just love how they react with one another. I found it comical. I just love the banter between them.
This was a great Christmas read. Thank u Samantha for a wonderful series and a great variety of characters..
A Dash of Christmas Book 10 Montgomery Brothers (can be read as a standalone)

5 Stars
What a phenomenal fantastic story! I really loved it! Quite sad this is the last book in the series! This really put me in the Christmas spirit!
“If we play our cards right, there could be an engagement for Christmas! At least, that was Eliza’s dream.”
“Thinking about the holiday decor made her smile: a huge Christmas tree, tons of lights, ornaments that actually held some sentimental meaning to her…”
Highly Recommend!
Although, I am sad to see this series end, I think ending it with this couple was a perfect ending.
Carter and Emery have been school rivals since middle school. They continue this rival once they meet up again to work on a cookbook. They can both dish it out to each other and some of their fights make you just start laughing out loud. The junk food scene makes me laugh every time I think about it.
I am truly going to miss this family, reading Samantha Chase’s books always makes me feel like these characters would make the perfect family and friends.
A Dash of Christmas is a well written, heartwarming story. Carter and Emerly are endearing characters with great chemistry.. There are also many wonderful secondary characters in this delightful story that I would love to read more about. This inspiring story really gets you into the spirit of Christmas. I would definitely recommend it.
This was a sweet story, but i found it a little slow. I liked Emery and Carter They have know each other for many years and they have a quirky kind of relationship where they push each other buttons. They don’t communicate well and leads to a lot of misunderstanding. No real angst in the story and it included lots of family members from other books I couldn’t figure out. I think not reading the other books might have been a hindrance, but just a little. The book was missing the spark that would have kept me happy. I like it but didn’t love it.
Samantha Chase continues her wonderful stories of the Montgomery family. Each book seems better than the previous one and I have enjoyed everyone that I have read. While it is a series I don’t feel that you would be lost starting with this book. Samantha Chase does a great job of building wonderful families with fun story lines. A Dash of Christmas gives us a bit of Thanksgiving and Christmas. A Montgomery family home run!!
I was given an advanced copy for review purposes. The opinion is mine and mine alone.
Loved, loved this story and the characters were wonderful. This story had everything I wanted for a holiday romance. It definitely put me in the spirit (and I know I will read it again before the holidays are over!!). It was wonderful from the first word to the very last one. I always think I’ve found a favorite then Samantha writes a new book to take its place. This is definitely a must-read, even if you haven’t read the other Montgomery books (but you really should). I’d give it more stars if I could.
4.5 Stars for A Dash of Christmas
Christmas is my favourite time of year and what better than a book centred around the holiday season after all it’s a time of year for family and friends to get together and share goodwill.
Carter Montgomery and Emery Monaghan have had a rivalry since their childhood and now thanks to some meddling from a family member it seems the rivalry has heated up and Emery finds herself bang smack in the middle of a awkward situation facing a very unhappy Carter. Emery’s no good fiancé has left her in the middle of a scandal and she needs a way out so when Eliza Montgomery offers a refuge she jumps at the chance not thinking she could be jumping into a confrontation with her childhood rival Carter. Carter is a professional chef running his own restaurant but he needs a new challenge and that could mean working with Emery …. can these two put their past behind them.
This book is full of tension and passion but it’s an enjoyable entertaining read that will draw you in. It can be read as a stand-alone but other ne bets of the Montgomery clan to pay us a visit in this book so you may get more from having read the previous books. I love this family and I love spending the holiday season with them and I’m sure you will to.
4 star review of A Dash Of Christmas (The Montgomery Brothers #9) by Samantha Chase
I love any story that is centred around Christmas; it’s a time for family and friends to get together and celebrate life.
I like Samantha Chase’s style of writing and the story kept me entertained from the first to the last chapter.
This is Carter Montgomery and Emery Monaghan’s story. They have had a rivalry since they were children and now thanks to meddling by Carter’s mother Eliza , Emory finds herself smack bang in the middle of an awkward situation with an unhappy Carter.
Carter, a professional chef and restauranteur is at a crossroads and needs to decide what he wants to do next. Emory has agreed to help with the charity cookbook Eliza is creating not knowing that Carter is also involved in the project.
Sparks fly and it seems no matter the subject, the banter between them adds some spice to the story. I liked the sass and fire Emory projected and I loved how she was prepared to knock him down a peg or two when it was needed.
The chemistry between Carter and Emory builds and you can feel the tension and passion.
Although a stand alone, I think you would get more enjoyment if you read the other books in the series first, but that is just my opinion.
I loved catching up on other members of the Montgomery family, it just added another layer to my enjoyment.
I received a copy of this book through the publisher via Netgalley.

A Dash of Christmas is a delicious addition to the Montgomery Brothers series!
Carter Montgomery is a famous chef who has three restaurants in major cities and a fourth in development in Montauk, New York. He’s been focusing on this restaurant for some time, but things are just not coming together for him like he wants. He wants this one to feel and be different from his others and landing on the right menu and theme has eluded him thus far. His mother had reached out to him to help her with a charity cookbook, which he agrees to, even though he’s not really all that thrilled about having to be involved.
Emery Monaghan’s life as she knows it is being blown apart. Her politician fiance has been caught in a cheating scandal and due to the amount of press being garnered over it, she really needs to go into hiding in order to have a moment’s peace. Eliza Montgomery is gracious enough to offer Emery a place to stay and also asks for her help with the development of the cookbook. Emery is grateful for the place to stay and for a project to distract her from her imploding life.
While Carter and Emery have known one another for years, they’ve also been at odds for years. They love to antagonize one another and they spar with the best of them. When they are thrown back into one another’s orbit because of the cookbook, neither is happy at first, but as they begin to work together, albeit grudgingly, not only is the chemistry between them undeniable, they figure out that they make a pretty great team. And when I say they make a pretty good team, that is both in and out of the bedroom! While things heat up between the pair, they both still have insecurities that could derail this great thing growing between them. Can they get out of their own way to make it work?
This was a fantastic story and I enjoyed every single minute of it. It was great to see other members of the family and the letters at the end were such a wonderful addition. I’d be hard pressed to find anyone that wouldn’t be in a holiday mood after reading this book!
Holiday Magic!! This is a great holiday story full of love, romance, forgiveness and family. It made my heart happy to see Carter and Emery finally stop competing with each other and realize they had more in common than not. They made me laugh and get mad and in the end I was swept away in the romance. The update on all the Montgomerys at the end was a great bonus. Awesome catching up and reading how happy everyone is. Loved it!!
Love the Christmas magic of this book. Samantha has such a say of describing a scene that I feel like I’m right there. I want to be in that house in Montauk. I love the banter between Carter and Emery. I love how strong Emery is. She can hold her own. One of my favorite parts was the newsletters at the very end. I love the updates.
