Two paths: one new, one familiar. And a burning desire to choose them both…When Damon spots a stunning redhead on his plane, the pilot’s determined to get to know her better. It’s been a long time since he’s experienced an instant connection with anyone. The last time was with his former lover, who left without an explanation over five years ago, devastating him. Though now cautious when it … now cautious when it comes to relationships, MacKenzie just might be everything he’s looking for and more.
Not expecting to meet the tall, dark and handsome captain on her flight home, Mac finds Damon’s domineering persistence a turn-on. She decides to take a chance on him, which, in the end, might be a mistake when a person from his past returns. A man Damon loved and still does.
The last five years had been dark journey for Trevor, and he’s now ready to return to the light. He’s back in Boston to not only ask for forgiveness but to reconnect with Damon, since he still loves the man. However, there’s a complication. Damon is seeing someone else and Trevor might be too late.
Note: This book in the series can be read as stand-alone. It includes an HEA ending. It is intended for audiences over 18 years of age since it includes MMF scenes between all three characters.

This is the absolute best of the 6 book menage series by St.James! They were all great but this one had deep love, seemingly unforgivable desertion, and the openess and caring of a mature woman who is able to understand the love between two handsome, interesting men. MacKinsey is willing to facilitate that love, to encourage Damon to risk loving Trevor again, even though he never stopped. And how could Mac be a part of this love with such history? What an imagination and a way with words this author has! From dialog to sex positions, one surprise after another! You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, your stomach will twist. Don’t miss reading this book. I volunteered this review after reading the ARC.
To find one soulmate is wonderful, but too find two is amazing. What was even more amazing about this storyline was one is a returned reunited love from five years past and Ava, Sean and J.F. did an excellent job bringing these characters to life and telling us this story of discovery and new beginnings.
A Daring Journey
Dare Menage Series, Book 6
By: Jeanne St. James
Narrated by: Sean Crisden, J.F. Harding, Ava Lucas
How can you keep me engaged in a book? Have Jeanne St James write it. There is something about her writing style that I absolutely love. It keeps me coming back for more. This series has been a fantastic ride, and this final chapter in the series is amazing. Damon, a pilot spots the feisty red head, Mack on a his flight, but it’s not the first time he has seen her. What a story that turns into! The attraction is mutual and he has finally found the spark he has been looking for. Trevor, his ex-boyfriend is back and after his own battles would like to try again. Now decisions are made, attractions palpable and lives melded together in a way that is caring and sensual. I can’t say enough good things about St James in her ability to write a story. She can take a sensitive topic, like mental health and carefully weave it into her books. Not only do we get this trio learning their way together, but real life issues involved that also need tending and nurturing. I love this as it gives such a basis of authenticity to the developing relationships. Add in getting to see all of the past characters with their families and enjoy learning where they are now it’s just a treat! I have really enjoyed getting to know them all!
As always, St James is careful with her choices of narrating teams, and picks the best voices for her books. This team is amazing. Sean Crisden, Ava Lucas and JF Harding know how to filter down onto their characters and find the essence of their personalities. It’s an incredible listen.

This was my first Jeanne St. James book and I will definitely be looking for more. I read A Daring Journey as a standalone and it was great, didn’t have any impact on the story line, although I really want to get to know all the other characters better since they have been introduced.
I loved the story, the characters and the steamy bits but some interacting between individuals was missing, it all seems to involve Damon and Mac. I would have loved to read more of Trevor, such as the scene of the morning where Damon and Trevor sort things out, and maybe some alone time with Mac.
An enjoyable read which has encouraged me to read more of the authors work.
A Daring Jouney was my personal favorite in the Dare Manages Series.
Now that I think about it, I should have said “so far” because with Jeanne St. James’s books I’m always blown away, and they’re getting better and better.
I liked this second chance menage story very much. Mac was just lovely and Damon had my heart from the first moment. Later on Trevor grew on me too and these three made a powerful trio and a super hot read.
A Daring Journey left my Kindle on fire! Damon, Mac and Trevor’s chemistry is off the charts hot. This book will take you on an erotic journey and leave you begging for more. This is a well written MFM menage romance with great characters that fit perfectly together. Another fantastic, steamy read that I couldn’t put down until the last page.
Who are Damon and Mackenzie? How do they meet/? What does each one do for a living? Who is Trevor? How does he know Damon? This story was a huge surprise for me from beginning to end. There were some challenges that made me want to cry a couple of times, but my cheeks were hurting from all the smiling. Such a sweet read! Enjoy it! Now I want to read more books by this author.
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin’ With M. Brennan.
This is the sixth book in the Dare Ménage Series and it can be read as a standalone. It has been five long years since Damon has been in a relationship when he runs into Mac who reignites that feeling of passion for another person on one of his flights. Mac is a strong, independent woman who is not looking for anything but cannot deny that there is something pulling her towards Damon. All is going well until Trevor, a man from Damon’s past, shows up and throws a monkey wrench into the newly formed duo. Ms. St. James has written a dynamic storyline illustrating the challenges facing couples whether they are first building a relationship or trying to rekindle an old one. The emotions that she puts her characters through, will strike a chord in any reader and have him/her rooting for these people to come to a beneficial resolution for all involved. It is about learning to trust and opening oneself up to love. Once you start, you will not be able to put this book down.
I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
Damon finally decides it’s time to start looking for love, and here come Mackenzie. She’s everything he could want in a woman. Mackenzie isn’t sure if she’s ready for what Damon has to offer. When Damon’s ex Trevor comes back around, well Mackenzie doesn’t think she stands a chance anymore. I loved this story, each of these people pulled my heartstrings. The love was easy and pure. The passion and heat between the 3 of them was off the charts. I loved it!!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

I am a huge fan of menage romances. I can not believe I have not discovered this series The Dare Menage Series from Jeanne St. James until now. This is the sixth book in the series and I am sure that I have some serious catching up to do. However with that said this book can be read as a standalone. I am sure that I was reading about some characters that have been in the other books but you do not feel like your missing anything. It just makes you want to go back and read all the good stories that I do believe are in this series since A Daring Journey was so amazing. This is the story of Mac, Damon and Trevor. Years ago Damon was in a relationship with Trevor and they were very serious until he up and left and did it with no explanation. He just disappeared and Damon hasn’t heard from his since. However the man is ready to put his heart back out there and has used a dating app. The one person he contacted ends up being on his flight back to Boston and he recognizes her once he thanks her for flying on the airline as all the passengers are getting off. MacKenzie is so drawn to Damon and can’t figure out why she wouldn’t have messaged him back. Then again she got more pics and crazy messages than she did good and she just ignored everyone but Damon she ignore because he was bi-sexual and she was sure that he was just playing the field. Turns out he wasn’t and these two have an amazing connections from the get go. However when he is meeting Mac for their first date Trevor finally finds him and wants a second change. However there is no way that Damon is forgiving him and not giving Mac a chance. Will all the pieces all in to place for these three and them find a way to exist together. Or will they just end up not giving each other the chance they so badly want? You have to read to find out. I devoured this book and loved every second of it. It is so well written by Jeanne St. James that you will not be able to put it down. Like I said in the beginning, now I want to go back and experience all the books in this series. No way are they not as good as this first read of hers for me.
This is one of my favorite books so far by Ms St James. The characters have such an amazing chemistry together – all three of them! The storyline is awesome and it is written so beautifully. I had tears running down my cheeks at times while reading this one and I’m sure you will too. I definitely recommend reading this book all about love and forgiveness and finding your way back out if the darkness. I read this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.
I probably say this with every Dare book written by Jeanne St. James, but this story is by far my favorite. Each book made me fall in love with a specific triad, and all their families grew. However, it wasn’t until this book that the picture of how their all entangled/related. I loved the overall family dynamic over the story arc, to be honest, and the story definitely kept me going.
I know this is probably the last of the Dare Menage series, but I really hope that they make their way into other books, series, or even more books focused on them so that I can visit and catch up with some of my most beloved and super smexy couples. Mac, Captain Devon, and Trevor are my favorite Dare couple, and hands down beat the rest of the them by a mile, or more.
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, but the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
Each book in the series gets better and better. This is a really good series. You won’t be disappointed. It definitely will hit your emotions as you go on this journey. Once you start you will not want to put it down. Enjoy!!
As with other Jeanne St. James books, this story exposed the kind of love that is simultaneously “shout from the rooftops” yet a soft whisper, controversial and yet somehow normal and everyday. In the finale of her “Dare” series, St. James highlights yet another skill: her ability to take a few tropes (second chance, menage, Insta love) and somehow come up with a story that’s neither cheesy, clichéd, unbelievable, nor over the top. With Damon, MacKenzie, and Trevor, you don’t really focus on the fact that they’re a trio; the way they’re written, all you see (read) about are people who fell in love who just happened to be a trio. It takes special skill for a writer to enable their reader to look past the controversial topic and just get to the core: love.
This book, to me, represents bravery. The kind of bravery to love so fiercely. The kind of love that is paved by pain, forgiveness, openess to love again, to move forward but also to take steps back.
Brava, Ms. St. James! Thank you for giving your readers the gift of love in its myriad forms. Thank you for humanizing love in all its unique facets.
Yet again Jeanne St. James wrote another book that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. Loved Mac, started out loving Damon and really didn’t like Trevor.
This book has everything you could really hope for in a romance book. Drama, new love, old flames, overcoming insecurities, and finding love. I love Damon, Mac, and Trevor. Each character is relatable in some way which makes it super easy to connect with them. This was the first book of the series that I have read, but I didn’t feel lost for a second. I just fell in love with the book as I have with every book written by Jeanne St. James.
This is bittersweet for me I loved this series and didn’t want it to come to a end. I so wanted Gia to get her story. Now Damon, Trevor, McKenzie story is like no other Damon is all alpha and knows just what is needed. Except when it comes to his heart the one thing he wants he is finding it hard to open his heart back up for. Trevor who is in a mission to get his lover back. He knows it want be easy but he is not taking no for a answer. Mac is well Mac she bold confident and does not back down easily. The journey they go on to find their price of happiness isn’t easy but it’s so worth it .
this book was full of steam and love and I enjoyed every second of it. It was beautiful and I couldn’t put it down.
3.5 Stars
I am a huge Jeanne St. James fan and this is my first book of her that involves menage. I thought it was very well done. The characters were captivating, each independent in their own right, yet explosive when they come together. The only thing holding me back from this being a 4 star review is that the author didn’t give us the scene of Damon and Trevor of their talk and their first time coming back together. Their history is an integral part of the storyline and I felt we were shortchanged by this being skimmed over. Other than that I love Mac, Damon, and Trevor and their happily ever after.
McKenzie , Damon and Trevor their journey to become a triad was expertly written …
I couldn’t put this book down it had everything I love and I devoured it …
Two men who had previously been in a relationship with each other had been apart for five years.
McKenzie (Mac ) met Damon a Pilot on her recent plane trip she is a confident redhead full of fun.
Trevor who is Damon’s ex is a masseur who does have magic hands !
How the three get together to then see themselves as a triad how they work out the trust and honestly they need to be together as their life….
Such great chemistry between the three in and out of the bedroom ..
It is the first book of Jeanne St James I have read and honestly it definitely will not be the last.
