The first book In The Sentinel Demon Series, a paranormal romance by NY Times and USA Today bestselling author J.S. Scott.
27 year old Kat Larson is haunted by demons. Literally. And how was she to know that there was more than one type of demon? The Evils want to destroy her soul, while billionaire Sentinel demon, Zachary Winston, claims that he wants to protect her. Kat opts for Zach’s … Zach’s protection…but it doesn’t come without a price. It requires a demon bargain…and what he suggests surprises poor Kat almost as much as the fact that demons really do exist. Why would the handsome billionaire want to make such an agreement with a curvy, plain redheaded woman like her?
Billionaire Zachary Winston has a mission and it’s one that he vows to complete. As a Sentinel demon, his task is to protect Kat from the Evils that will corrupt her soul. His only problem is that she is his “radiant,” the one woman who can lighten the darkness of his demon existence and be his eternal mate. Zach has to fight an internal war between man and demon as he protects Kat, not quite sure which one will win. He’s one part demon, one part man, but they both yearn for Kat’s lush, full figured body and kind, compassionate heart. As Zach becomes more and more enchanted with Kat, he’s hoping she can learn to love a lonely man/demon that’s only slightly wicked.
This paranormal romance contains graphic language, steamy love scenes, and lovable alpha males that also happen to be mythological demons.

I gotta say of all the books I have in my collection by Author J.S. Scott, this will have to be my first favorite of many to come, she definitely aims to please her Readers. I so love the way this series is going and I loved getting to know the characters Kat Larson & Zachary Winston, will definitely be back to read more. *****5 Stars*****
In this book, we meet the sentinels Zach, Drew, Hunter, and king Kristoff. This story takes on a fantastic & addictive adventure of demons and gods.
Zach is the first to find his radiant, and we get to follow on his journey to unlock the secrets that come with his mate. I enjoyed this story. I highly recommend this excellent book.
A Dangerous Bargain is on the shorter side, but the storyline really sucks you in. This is a paranormal romance that revolves around demons; the Sentinels, the protectors of humans and the Evils, who are out to steal souls from humans. Both Zach and Kat bargained with demons for the sake of loved ones. Over 200 years ago, Zach gave his soul to the Sentinel King, Kristoff, in the attempt to save his sister, unfortunately she ended up dying anyway. Since then, he has been carrying this tremendous amount of guilt and does not believe he deserves to be happy. This all changes when Kristoff assigns Zach with a new mission; to rescue Kat Larson, a human who has just made a deal with the Evils. They approached her promising to save her nephew from leukemia. Unbeknownst to her, she was giving up her soul and once they take it she will either be killed or returned completely lifeless. Even though Zach is confused on why he was assigned a rescue mission, since he is just a recruiter, but something about Kat pulls to him. She turns out to be his radiant, mates to the Sentinels. Their story continues with so many more surprises to come, especially who Kat really is.
All in all, a great first of the series. I cannot wait to read on and find out what happens with the rest of the Sentinels.
I love JS Scott so I decided to give this book a try even though I’m not into paranormal books. I’ve had a hard times rating it because I’m not sure how I feel about it. It was kind of weird with the paranormal stuff but it was intriguing at the same time. I said that I was going to finish this one and stop but by the time I finished I wanted to know what happened with the other guys stories. In the end I decided to give it four stars. Until next time y’all happy reading.

One would think all demons are the same, right? Wrong! Sentinels are demons who have some humanity left so that they can save humans from the bad demons called, Evils. Sentinels have mates called radiants, but they may never find them, the radiant may die before the Sentinel finds her, there are no guarantees. Evils don’t get mates. Scott has written an amazing story with pig-headed heroes that aren’t easy to like, but after hearing their story and getting to them, they become easier to understand. This is unlike anything I’ve read, it was recommended to me because I was looking for something with demons. This is a story with all the feels and a HEA. RECOMMENDED
I wish the book was longer. I needed more.
