Adam never got over the sting of betrayal, or the loss of his one-time best friend. When Luc is invited back home to help get his parents’ failing dance school back on track, Adam isn’t sure he can cope with having his stepbrother back in his life. Especially when he … when he discovers Luc’s decade old secret.
Luc left home because he was sure no one would understand that he had fallen in love with his stepbrother.
Convinced that the years of distance he has put between them will have erased his desire, Luc doesn’t hesitate to return home to help the business that means everything to his parents. Confronted by Adam once more, Luc’s past feelings re-awaken. But will revealing his true feelings to Adam heal the rift between them, or drive them even further apart?
This novel contains explicit language and sex scenes between stepbrothers

I enjoyed Adam and Luc’s story, a little angst, a whole lot of sweet, some feelings of hurt and betrayal all mixed in.
I’ve read a few step relative books but mainly in the MFM/MMF genre and I can say I’m loving the stepbrother interaction in the MM genre more.
After years of running from his heart Luc dropped everything and returned home to help with his family’s dance studio.
Adam have feeling for Luc, he wasn’t sure if those feelings were right or wrong, he was hurt when Luc packed up and left home.
These two MCs fought their heart, to contain those feelings that shouldn’t be, but by opening up and understanding each other they allow that love to grow.
Thank you very much Colette Davison for Adam and Luc’s story.
I recommend
The Story of Luc and Adam was so sweet, tender. Everything they had to go through to be together was totally worth it. This book was amazing, I feel in love with both men right away. Colette Davidson is my new favorite author, this is my first book from her but not my last.
Ballet, romance, family issues, what more do you need in a book.
Colette Davison dances around a sensitive issue and writes it well.
Narrated by Neil in a soft voice that helps the whole book.
Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book both reading and listening. Would recommend.
I’ve read this author before. This was a mm contemporary story with Luke and Adam, step brothers as the main characters. I listened to the audiobook. This book was set in the UK in the ballet world. I’ll read more from this author.
Sometimes it’s not about love but who you love, for over half his life Luc has loved Adam. It was not enought to come out and be gay but to be in love with your stepbrother can and does make his life miserable. For Luc he rarely goes home since he graduated from college and went to work, for his family it’s especially hard for his parents, and of course Adam just doesn’t get it. When the family ballet dancing studio is having finantial trouble Luc’s parents ask him to help them figure out how to save the buisness and this begins a journey with for him and Adam in discovering if a relationship together is worth everything they will have to endure to be together. This was a well written slow burn story with lots of heat, enjoyed it!

Sweet and sexy!
Now I love Colette’s work and this story has the same care and heart you come to expect from Colette but with a steamy and somewhat ‘taboo’ twist. A stepbrothers love story that just proves you can’t help who you fall in love with! I loved both Adam and Luc and could feel their emotions as they are somewhat forced to reunite. I liked that we got to know them and their lives before we were thrown into their love story and I liked the feelings behind their passion.
Luc has been in love with his sep brother since he was 14 and those feelings are what created the wedge and distance between them. When Luc returns home to help their parents with their struggling dance school, all those feelings come back to the surface and bubble over!
Adam doesn’t know why his brother suddenly started hating him when they were teens but now that Luc is home Adam realizes he’s still angry and resentful towards Luc. When Luc feelings are revealed, at first Adam is repulsed at the thought but his subconscious has other ideas and he realizes he IS attracted to Luc but is it just lust?
I found their chemistry believable and their story sweet and sexy. My only caveat is that the story kept mentioning “my brother” and then correcting to “stepbrother”. I felt that once they accepted their attraction they were partners and no longer “brothers”, so the continuing to refer to it did become a little too “kinky” for me. But other than that it’s a steamy, sexy and sweet stepbrother to lovers romance, with dance! Great narration too!!

Enticed from the beginning!!
Colette Davison’s writing made the story and dilemmas of sensitive topics come alive. They were encountered, experienced and solved with bravery, strength and compassion. I loved the exploration of the relationship as the characters developed. A beautiful story which I highly recommend.
Audiobook review…
A Dance for Two by Colette Davison is a love story that will tug at the reader’s emotional heartstrings as well as their mind. It does have some taboo aspects in it, but honestly, if I was in the book, I would have supported the characters fully. Before we get into all that though, this is an audiobook review. So let’s break it down.
Story: 4.5 stars
A Dance for Two is the story of two stepbrothers, Luc and Adam, and the love they share. There is a lot to this and what happens between them, the history they need to overcome, but I don’t want to give too much away. I will say that it is full of emotion and very character driven. You feel the tension and the complexity of the enormous decision they both have to make. It isn’t easy. I loved both Luc and Adam, but there were times when I thought Adam acted a little too spoiled. Given the past and the situation, it is understandable to a point.
The story is well-written and moves at a great pace. It is easy to picture the scenes as they unfold, and I love that. Especially when Colette describes the dancing. You can see the fluidity of Adam’s body. Story 4.5 stars!
Narration: 4.5 stars
This book was narrated by Neil MacFarlane and this is the first time I’ve heard him narrate a story. Overall, I really liked his interpretation of the story and he was able to bring the characters to life. I wish there was a little more distinction between the two characters, but that is really the only critique I have. He didn’t rush and read with relish and emotion. I would definitely listen to him again. I’ll give the Narration 4.5 stars.
Overall: 4.5 stars
The story is good with characters that are realistic, who drive the story, and they keep you engaged. On top of that, Neil brings the book to life with his reading. Overall, I give this book 4.5 stars and highly recommend everyone one-click it today!
A Dance For Two by Colette Davison is the story of two step brothers who fall in love.
Growing up, Adam and Luc were close… until one day Luc started to back off and left Adam wondering what happened to take his step brother from best friend to bully. It’s a betrayal that still stings years later when Luc comes back home to help their parents out at their family dance studio.
Eventually Adam finds out the reason why Adam had to back away and eventually leave – he is in love with him, always has been and still am. Will the truth set them free and heal their scars or will it tear their family apart forever?
This story is very interesting and entertaining. Heartbreaking, emotional, passionate and a good dose of angst, the story will have you engrossed, feeling raw emotions. The characters of Luc and Adam are perfect together. Their journey together to mend their past hurts and find a Happily Ever After captivates and leaves you satisfied.
