The lost boy… pain it caused.
The country music star…

A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This one about Ty and Piper and the paths they take. Piper has to take a look at her career path and decide if it is the right path for her. Ty living a simple life on the ranch, steps outside his comfort zone and gets a shock he deals with.
While the Redemption Ranch character is Ty, I found myself fascinated by Piper and the way her career, dreams, and music have been overwhelmed by her family and their ideas of who she is and what she needs. Her connection with Ty when she comes out to the ranch is life-changing for both of them. In fact, the airport scene where they meet is one of my favorites in the book. Their mutual love of music helps to rescue Ty from his past trauma, but it also leads to potential future disaster when they move to Nashville together after a duet goes viral. The book is about love, grief, music, hope, and so much more.

Ty lost his family in an accident when he was younger & ended up on Redemption Ranch. He’s determined that’s where he needs to stay & feels his music is just a hobby. When Piper comes to be in the wedding of her best friend, she’s trying to keep her career in music alive even though she doesn’t really enjoy it. Piper would love to be able to sing & entertain as effortlessly as Ty does & can’t believe he wants to stay on the ranch. Ty can’t believe that she keeps putting so much effort into something she doesn’t enjoy.
Both Ty & Piper have the same issue. Neither of them trusts their talent to lead them in the right direction & they aren’t brave enough to change status quo. As their relationship grows they both begin to respect the other’s feelings & position until it all comes to a head. I really enjoyed this group of foster boys that created their own band of brothers. Although this story can be read as a stand alone, I really feel you’ll want to read them all to get the full emotional journey.

I have so adored this series and this book is just a great addition to it. Three boys come to Redemption Ranch as foster kids. There they learn to become brothers. This is the third foster son, Ty Evens. He loves music and plays at “The Rock” a local bar on the weekends. His oldest brother, West, is getting married to the daughter of the former rancher, Tara. Tara has requested that Ty sing at their reception. Ty is struggling to write a song for them. He lost his family when he was 12. There was a winter major storm and he lost his family in an accident. Thus he is blocked from letting the words flow. Piper Raines is a country music star. She comes to the ranch to be a bridesmaid at the wedding. She is coming off of a tour and is exhausted.
As Piper helps Ty with the song, feelings start to develop between these two characters. I really felt their connection and their struggles. The author did a marvelous job in creating two characters that really touched me. Looking into the characters’ mind and seeing their POV, really melded the story. I could really seeing the action like a movie playing out.
There were some really funny scenes that just had me laughing out loud. There were some very poignant ones as well. The story was a beautiful one and really was well written.
This is a story that to me falls between sexy and spicy. There were several scenes with some detail BUT not excessive. Some people though may take offense. I can highly recommend this story to anyone over the age of 18. You can read this as a stand-alone but I strongly recommend to start at the beginning of the series.
Also this is the story that completes the foster boys of Redemption Ranch. I just hope that there are more stories coming that involve some of the secondary characters (Emma and Cam)!!!
The book is a good western romance read. The story is the third book in the Redemption Ranch series but can be read as a standalone read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable cowboy romance read.

Good book! I really enjoyed Ty & Piper’s story. I’m glad that they are getting their HEA. So happy to have so much of West, Tara, Chase & Hailey in this book too! Hopefully this isn’t the end of the series. Looking forward to more from Redemption Ranch.
More of a 3.5 stars.
This third book of Redemption Ranch belongs to the third foster boy Douglas took under his wing.
Now that his 2 brothers are either engaged or married, he feels a bit adrift. He’s not the one in charge of the ranch, nor is he the former bull rider that achieved a great deal of fame. He’s got one thing he use to love , but keeps it close to his heart after all the losses he has had.
Piper Raines, a country singer and daughter a legendary country music family, is in town for her friend’s wedding. That of Ty’s future sister-in-law . Piper is going through some professional struggles, not happy with her current singing career. But family takes precedent to her personal desires.
Piper and Ty hit it off and as she gets to know Ty and his dormant talent, he helps her find herself. But the road gets bumpy . Will either find their happiness individually and together? Will the past and family keep them from being happy?
The story was good but not being a fan of country music, I did lose interest in some areas. I was partial to Ty , his past and his struggles. Not so much with Piper.
All that said, it was well written, and I am sure others that like country music will love it. For me it was ok. Especially after truly lovely book 2 in the series.

3.5 Stars
After reading the first two books in this series, I was so curious about what led Ty to Redemption Ranch. His story is definitely heartbreaking and I shed more than a few tears learning all that he had been through in his life. While Piper appears to have all the support of a loving family, most of her interactions with them left me feeling like she deserved better than what they gave her.
I wanted to love Ty and Piper’s story but there were quite a few parts that I just skimmed because I felt like the story wasn’t moving along. I liked these characters but there was something that kept me from connecting with them like I did the characters from the first two books in this series.
I would love to have more visits to Redemption Ranch and even see Piper’s brother finally settle down and get his HEA!
A Cowboy’s Song by Megan Ryder
The lost boy…
Tyler “Ty” lost everything in a car accident when he was twelve, retreating into his shell so tightly that it took months for him to come out again. Music and the ranch saved him, and he will always be grateful to his foster family for saving his life. Now, with the ranch on financial tenterhooks, he wonders if he can use his music to contribute to the solution.
The country music star…
Piper Raines is the daughter of a legendary country music family. While her parents and brother are all famous, her attempt at an independent career went off the rails, and, with exhaustion and stress and bad press dogging her every step, she needs a place to recover. When Piper is invited to vacation at the ranch, Piper and Ty connect through horses and music. After a video duet of Piper and Ty goes viral, they’re invited to sing in Nashville, which also provides added pressure, stressing their new relationship.
Can they build a future on a shaky foundation?
This is Piper Raines and Tyler Evans’s story.
He headed into the baggage area and scanned the arrivals board. No flights coming in from Nashville. He shouldn’t have left the paper at home. His brothers were checking on the calves, and he sure as hell wasn’t calling Tara to tell her he forgot the flight information. He turned and scanned the seating area surrounding baggage claim and didn’t notice a woman sitting alone, not anyone who looked like she was waiting for him. He pulled up his phone and called up her name. There was one advantage to picking up a Nashville star. He could find out what she looked like and not be a complete idiot.
Piper Raines.
The web page was filled with several hits, including a video and audio from her latest tour now blasting out from his phone.
His jeans were crusted in mud and stuff he’d rather not examine too closely after the three-day spring roundup. He and his brothers, their hands, and various local ranchers had gathered to corral the new calves, brand, castrate, vaccinate, and tag them then release them back to their frantic mommas. Now, one day later, he was cleaning up the aftereffects and dealing with the residual exhaustion that dogged his every step. He could almost taste the beer and feel the hot water cascading over his body in his shower at the end of the day, just a couple of hours away. Unfortunately, it appeared life, and his soon-to-be sister-in-law had other plans.
Dundee flopped at his feet, panting heavily, and laid his head on Tara Rawlings’ foot, lifting blue soulful eyes that the border collie/Australian cattle dog mix was known for. Tara wrinkled her nose and slid her foot gingerly out from under his dirt-encrusted fur. Ty grunted and squatted to bury his fingers in the dog’s fur. Dundee’s back leg jerked in ecstasy.
“Welcome to ranch life, Tara. And the answer is no.”
