He wanted to be left in peace… divided among his foster brothers and his mentor’s daughter, Tara Rawlings, the fragile future he’s built for himself is threatened.
She wanted to be free of her past…
Tara Rawlings swore she’d never end up with someone like her father, a man completely focused on the ranch to the exclusion of his loved ones. She created a new life for herself in San Francisco, running an interior design company and getting married, then divorced. When she returns to settle her father’s estate, she finds that her birthright is in jeopardy. And the only way to save it is to work with West Morgan, the one man she has always resented—and always found irresistible.
Can they save the ranch without killing each other … or falling in love?

There are all kinds of second chances in life and this story is about chances, opportunities and romance. Tara has a failed marriage, feels she has no family and her job is giving her a hard time. West Morgan failed at being a respected teenager and failed at finding love. All this makes a wonderful book and I loved every minute of it. This story-line has it all: a caring mentor, foster brothers, and, Tara who walks into many lives with tears and strength. Thanks for a great book.
Great story line and I’m looking forward to reading the other stories !
A very enjoyable first in series. I really enjoyed getting to know the 4 guys of Rawlings Ranch and Tara Rawlings. Each had an interesting back story. There were hints of the future stories for each guy. There was a lot of steamy sex, but it didn’t overpower the story.
The well written storyline and the well detailed characters hooked me right from the start and I remained totally captivated as I turned each and every page until the very end!
I think what I liked best about this book is both West and Tara had so many preconceived notions and pain to overcome. There is nothing like the emotional wounds we receive as a child to mess with our heads as we go through life.
At times they were both stubborn. They refused to open up and trust each other and talk, each getting in their own ways, which is very realistic and true to life.
This book pulled at my emotions. At times it made me laugh and other times I cried and at times I was so mad at the characters, like when West thinks he knows what’s best and pulls a bone head move. I just wanted to slap him. But then I got to see him grovel, so that was great and I loved it even more, because we all make mistakes in life…stupid mistakes and have to own up to them, and that’s what this book was about. Learning you were wrong and seeing the truth in others and being brave enough to give them and you a second chance and finding love.
This was an interesting story. I was a little perplexed by Tara at first. She first seemed very brash to me. Then after finding out about her inheritance, she was wounded that the ranch was to be split with the foster boys (now men) that her father took in. Her thoughts turn to his rejection of her not being able to care for the ranch. Earlier though, she planned on selling the ranch. That seemed to be a great conflict for me. Tara seemed like the perfect spoiled princess. She wondered where the money went that they would need to pay the inheritance taxes. Unfortunately, West informs her it wasn’t from bad investments but her spending ways (expensive clothes and many vacations), while they had to sacrifice to pay for it.
It took me some time to warm up to Tara. Having a dual POV really helped here. As the pages flew by, more of Tara was revealed. Her pain and grief were becoming more evident. The past had a firm grip on her. As she and West grew closer together, you could see the past was slowly giving way to a wonderful relationship. A healing one.
I was thoroughly engrossed in this story. I eagerly look forward to the rest of this series. Getting to see Chase and Ty in an in-depth way and finding their HEAs will keep me coming back. I applaud the author’s work here. Growing up in a loving family and not having the background that the characters here have, the plot was written in a way that I really felt for all of them. GREAT JOB!
This book is not a sweet, clean romance. There are scenes that many would not appreciate. I highly recommend this story for anyone over the age of 18.
Tara is coming home to settle her father’s affairs after his passing. West is the ranch foreman of Tara’s fathers operation. After hearing the will, Tara is upset while West is happy. They discover what needs to be done in order to keep the ranch and become somewhat friendly. During this time attraction builds between them. Will they explore it? Will she stay in Montana? What are West’s feelings regarding everything? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the 1st book in the Redemption Ranch Series and it is awesome. Weston Morgan got a 2nd chance when Douglas Rawlings gave him a foster home in Montana on his ranch. He was a troubled youth but Douglas saw something in him that reminded him of himself. Over the years Douglas also took in two other boys, Chase and Ty. He also had a daughter, Tara. On his wife’s deathbed, he promised her that he would give Tara the best education she could have and a life of her own away from the ranch. Over the years a rift developed between Tara and her father. She felt as if he didn’t want her around after her mother passed away and he sent her away. Now, her father is gone and she’s called home to make funeral arrangements and settle his estate. Expecting to inherit the ranch, she’s thrown for a loop when the ranch is left to her and the foster brothers, West, Chase and Ty. The ranch isn’t as profitable as she thought and with a huge inheritance tax to pay, they need to come up with options. She wants to sell but the brothers refuse as it’s the only place they can call home.
A well written storyline and Wonderful characters that draw you in from the beginning to the very last page. There’s a wide range of emotions from anger, humor, angst, heartbreak and a passionate love between Tara and West. This is going to be an incredible series. This is a must read. Can’t wait for Chase and Ty’s stories.

A lovely start to the Redemption Ranch series. Tara gets a call from her nemesis that shatters her already messed up world and turns it upside down. She must now return home to deal with not only her father’s death but also the three foster brothers and the ranch that she left behind. West now has to deal with not only losing his mentor but possibly losing the only real home that he and his two foster brothers have ever known. Imagine everyone’s surprise when they learn that all four are equal owners of Rawlings Ranch. Now they must all come together and figure out what is best for them and the ranch, but in order to accomplish that they will have to deal with old insecurities and assumptions and forge new beginnings.
Tara and West’s struggles to deal with past hurts, a growing attraction and wrong assumptions is a good beginning to this new series. I urge you to read this book to see if Tara can finally find her true home and to see if West can finally realize that he has all he needs and that he can finally be free of his fear of abandonment. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series to learn more about Chase and Ty and the continuing story of Tara and West.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Tara Rawlings lives in San Francisco, away from the Rawlings Ranch where she was raised. When she receives the news of her father’s death, she returns to the ranch to take care of everything.
Her reception at the ranch was not very good, since her foster brothers, West, Chase and Ty, had never had much contact with her. When Douglas’s will is released and they discover that the ranch has been split equally among the four, Tara’s initial reaction is not one of the best.
To save the ranch and pay the bills, they need to work together and soon Tara has an idea that can solve the problems, at the same time, West puts her to do the tasks at the ranch to get familiar with everything.
While working to save the ranch, the attraction between West and Tara only increases, and when they decide to give their feelings a chance, the encounters between them are explosive.
But when Tara is called to return to San Francisco, will they be able to cope with distance and stay together, or will distance be impediment to them?
I loved the story and the characters. I’m anxious to read the next book in this series.
I am not a huge fan of cowboy stories, but this one roped me in. I had moments where I wanted to throw the book, only to grab it because I had to see what would happen next. This story is a HEA but you go through a lot to get there. From misunderstood relationships, enemies to lovers, to financial woes there is a little bit of something that keeps you engaged.
Tara wanted to escape the ranch life and it was all West knew. She thought that her father didn’t have time for her, he thought that her father spent too much on her. You are along for the personal journeys and realizations of Tara, West, Chase, and Ty as they deal with death and misconceptions. Throw in high heels, a rooster, and small town gossip and you have a hit!
I received a free ARC and I am voluntarily leaving this review.
As a child when her mother passed away Tara felt unwanted and unloved when her father sent her away to boarding school and she had to leave the only home she had ever known while she was grieving. Those feelings only increased when her father fostered three boys and they lived with him on the ranch. Now that her father has passed away she is returning home to finalize his estate.
West and his foster brothers Chase and Ty are grateful to Tara’s father as he not only gave them a home but he gave them a family as well. When the ranch is left to all four of them jointly they must work together to save it but denying the feelings between West and Tara may be the biggest challenge of all.
3.5 Stars
A Cowboys Salvation by Megan Ryder was an okay read.
I enjoyed reading West and Tara’s story but for me the ending fell a little flat leaving me with a few unanswered questions.
Tara has been estranged from her dad for a few years now. Their relationship has suffered ever since they lost Tara’s mom. Deepening that feeling of loss was the fact that her father then took in 3 foster boys, one of those been West. Her father gave them a home and a family but pushed Tara further away. When Tara finds herself back at her father’s ranch under tragic circumstances and toe to toe with West sparks soon start to fly.
3.5 stars from Crazy Cajun Book Addicts!
A story of second chances. Tara has returned home after the death of her father, only to find out that she has to share the ranch with the foster boys that were helping on the ranch. West has been tossed from foster home to foster home through his young years and has finally found home on the ranch, but now he has the fight on his life to save it. As they but heads they soon can’t deny the chemistry between them.
This book brought out so many emotions, but with unhappy childhoods, both stubborn attitudes and both with trust issues. They both learned to grow from their mistakes and find happiness in the end. I highly recommend this story. So looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
West Morgan grew up as a foster child until he found Rawlings Ranch as a teenager. He found a home, peace, and a family there. When his mentor dies, he leaves the property divided among West, his foster brothers, and his mentor’s daughter Tara Rawlings.
Will they be able to work together to save the ranch? to save each other?
Super cute love story.
