Last year, Nathan Bradford almost lost everything. First his father, in a terrible accident. Then his wife, who walks out after witnessing a moment Nathan is unable to explain to her without breaking her heart. All Nathan is left with is the Pot of Gold Ranch and his abiding faith that God has a plan for him. When his ranch is suddenly threatened too, the only way he sees to save it is to run in … in a famous local horse race whose prize is sufficient to pay all Nathan’s debts—problem is, there’s only one person who can ride the horse who might win the race: his estranged wife.
Bethany wants nothing to do with Nathan. The same night he lost his father, she lost both her youngest sister and her faith in her marriage. Heartbroken, she’s managed to just pick up the pieces when Nathan suddenly appears to beg for her help. Though she’s got her qualms about him, she can’t let the ranch go under. Plus, deep inside, she wonders whether she’s sorely misjudged the man she’s always loved.
Together, Nathan and Bethany set out to save the ranch. Working as a team once more, it’s clear the love between them has never died—but is that love strong enough to keep them from losing everything for good? Saint Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and Nathan and Bethany will need every bit of luck possible to hold onto their Pot of Gold.

Once again Ms. Abbott has delivered another sweet and heartwarming story. The character definition was great, with endearing and sweet characters you can’t help but love. It is a very well written second chance western romance. Ms. Abbott has a great talent for creating a story that captures your attention and keeps your interest until the end. Bethany and Nathan love each other but due to a misunderstanding and miscommunication, their marriage is in jeopardy. A wonderfully written and emotional read, this story really pulls at your heartstrings. Well done, Ms. Abbott!

A Cowboy’s Luck: A St. Patrick’s Day Novella is a sweet second chance novella.
Nathan and Bethany are great characters whose marriage was torn apart after a misunderstanding. The storyline is well written and flows nicely, with secrets, danger, suspense, intrigue, and a second chance for love.

Ambivalent
Nathan seems to miss key cues repeatedly. His sister in law kissed him and I never felt like he tried to explain to Bethany after wards.
Nathan and Beth were married for five years until she caught him kissing her younger sister so she left him only for her younger sister and his father to get killed that same night. She works at another farm but he needs her to come back to their ranch to race Lucky because she is the only one that can win the big race coming up and their ranch owes a big debt that he can not pay without the race winnings. He never wanted to tarnish her sister so he never told her that her sister had been pursuing him. Everything is hinging on the race as he has told her he would tell her everything after the race but has already figured it out and she knows she can trust him.

Bethany was quick to throw away her marriage to Nathan when she caught her sister kissing him without allowing him to explain what really happened. Soon after her sister died and she’s held a grudge against him and won’t speak with him until he reveals that their ranch may be lost unless she can ride their horse Lucky and win a race. I could tell the organizer of the race was slimy, but it was never revealed how he was punished for what he did and whether or Bethany and Nathan were able to save their ranch. This was a clean second chance romance.
First, I must say that Kellie Abbott did an amazing job!! The author has such a way with story telling it made you feel like you were right there in the thick of it with the characters. And as far as characters went, Bethany and Nathan both grab the reader’s heart and don’t let go until the final page. I am a sucker for a good second chance romance, but this one was darn near perfectly written. Phenomenal job!!!

This is a well written short romantic thriller with strong characters in Beth and Nathan. The author does a great job building their story , giving them a hot chemistry and pulling you in with all the intrigue. She brings the story to life with her descriptive and detailed writing and had me hooked from start to finish reading. I would recommend this book.

A St. Patrick’s Day Novella, a well written story with a very good storyline, the story flowed smoothly across the pages. Nathan Bradford had his wife Bethany walk away from a year ago. But now because of something that happens they might lose the Pot of Gold Ranch they both own. I enjoyed reading this story it has suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, secrets, a misunderstanding, a villain, and a second chance. I hope there is going to be more stories to come.
Miracles happen every day.
Can their broken marriage be fixed? It is hard to see when a marriage has problems because of misunderstanding and lack of faith. Nathan and Bethany‘s story was such a good read I liked the characters in this one very realistic. This faith-based story shows the challenges these characters had to go through and also trust in God can repair that is broken.
Nathan Bradford runs the Pot of Gold Ranch in River Bend, Co!orado. Each year they have St. Patrick’s Day Horse Race and their ranch has won it for the last several years, but usually his wife Bethany is the rider. This year she is not living on the ranch as they are separated because of a misunderstanding, so Nathan is having to ride her horse Lucky. He is out practicing, when he is thrown from the horse and hurt. While he in the hospital, he learns that his father had a large loan on the ranch that has come due. This loan may cause them to loose the ranch if a miracle does not happen fast. The only thing Nathan knows to do is go talk to Bethany as this will affect her as the ranch is half her’s.
This is a short romantic read that is well worth the time to read. The plot and characters are well developed with some mystery and intrigue to hold your interest from start to finish. You will not want to put this book down until you finish.
