From author, Lizabeth Scott comes the long waited for third and final book in the romantic comedy series, Hearts of Gold. Rose married the man of her dreams, Sheik Rashid, after a rocky start with a totally unexpected “special arrival.” Annie found her soulmate in the brilliantly talented music star, Carter Ryan. Finally, it’s Mary’s turn! Mary is known as the determined and single-minded sister … is known as the determined and single-minded sister who always had her sights set on a career in New York City. That’s how her family knew her. That’s what they expected. Funny thing about expectations…
Never in her life had Mary Gold met such a perplexing and utterly mouthwatering man.
Stranded in the blazing hot sun of Able, Texas, the swoon-worthy cowboy rode up on his golden steed and rescued her from becoming a puddle on the deserted road. The man of her dreams then turned into an insulting jerk at any and every opportunity! If her very existence irritated him, why did he keep coming around? And why did her day seem a little brighter when he did?
Ethan knew her type all too well–high maintenance and with an agenda that would end up costing him dearly. Been there, done that, and had the scars of betrayal to prove it.
His little daffodil represented everything he detested yet he found her gorgeous and adorable and she smelled as good as all those silly flower names he called her. He should have dropped her off in town and never looked back, but he couldn’t seem to stay away.
No matter how hard he tried, avoiding her wasn’t working. There was only one thing to do; send her back where she came from, and take temptation far, far away! So, why did he turn in the opposite direction and take her back to his place?
The fly in the ointment … appearances can be deceiving.

You know, I’m starting to have a huge issue with Scott and her books….. I can’t stop reading them okay! Book three was definitely GOOD!! Mary, girl definitely had some problems with honesty. Hell, they both did but Mary’s hell was definitely of her own making. She had two extremely well off sisters that could have easily helped her. Now listen, I’m one for independence and doing for ones self but EVERYONE needs a helping hand at one time or another. After all she definitely had help from her parents to even get through school. That came straight from Buttercup’s mouth (if you get that inside joke and analogy I’ll give you a cookie and a point ). So she shouldn’t see it has charity. She has one brother in law that’s a sheik oh a country and another that’s a music legend. Hell, Carter offered her work. She could have accepted working for him and could be with her sister on a regular basis. So I think she totally dropped the ball here. I will give you all some life wisdom in this review. Never let pride get in your way. It will only trip you up and make you look stupid in the end and make you miss out on a good opportunity. Don’t be that person. Especially when that opportunity is coming from the heart and from a good place. Moving along Ethan at first to me was scum, thank god that got cleared up later because when she was looking from her window….. I was disgusted and more disgusted in her for still liking the dude. But that’s a strike against me for jumping to conclusions. see I can admit when I’m wrong . Their romance was sweet, when she had that “apple juice” the ensuing conversation had my dying with laughter. Ethan’s reactions were hilarious. I must admit when she took over the ranch I could have read this story for another 500 pages. It was so sweet and the way the hands took to her had me smiling. This book was so good. The only disappointment was that if you’re looking forward to the bonus after stories to see what comes of Carter and Annie, Mary and Ethan you won’t get it. That book although named for Mary and Ethan is all about Rose and Rashid. The book I skipped….the things you find out about the culture and what they expect and want from Rose was really upsetting. That kind of stuff I don’t want to read about. Yeah HEA and all that but that’s not my cuppa and neither is that whole thing how rashid was as a person. Just wasn’t my bag. He may be great now but yeah. So I did write to Scott and she did respond and told me that Rose and Rashid had more to say and as a writer that takes inspiration to write I respect and understand that. I hope for a novella update in the future. I know it’s a long shot but I’ve come to love the Gold sisters. Scott is truly a talent when she writes. I’ve already started another book of hers and the first few pages already has me smiling. This woman has skill!! I’m very happy to have found a new author to read. Try her books, I think you too will enjoy what she has to offer. This bear gives this book 5 shooting stars.
I was really excited to finish reading the last book in the Hearts of Gold series. Each book is a complete stand alone book. This book is Mary Gold’s story…yelp that is her name. This book had the most heat and had me shedding the most tears. Mary and Ethan were so much alike, yet so different. In otherwise…perfect for each other. Another really good read that has me wanting to one click more books from this author.
