Lainey wants to be a playwright. Theatre is very important to her.
Ethan works on his ranch and he loves it.
It took me a while to get into the book maybe because I didn’t like Lainey very much. I liked her at the beginning of the book when she was working at the coffee shop, but I didn’t when she went to see Ethan.
I did like the second part of the book. It surprised me what happened on the mountain. I didn’t see it coming. And the end was unexpected too.

This sweet second chance romance was well written with characters that were so well defined that Lainey and Ethan kept me totally captivated until the very last page!
This a very clean and sweet feel-good romance that captured my attention right from the start. I couldn’t help but being invested in Lainey and Ethan’s happily ever after. Both are in need of love and are perfect for each other. Thay also had such great chemistry. This is a really delightful read and I would highly recommend for a nice cozy afternoon!

This is the 3rd time I’ve read books written by Kellie Abbott; she has done an excellent job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

Back to Colorado.
Lainey Larkin is back in town to fight for her family’s contract, which her ex, Ethan now owns.
Will they make it work this time around?
I found it rather sweet.
Lainey left her small town in Colorado after high school to follow her dreams of writing plays for Broadway but when she finds out her family is in trouble she heads home to help. Ethan never expected to see Lainey until she sucker punched him in the face asking for a explanation why he took over some contracts that her family had help for years which paid a tidy sum. This is a faith based sweet story with lovable characters.

Looking for a nice afternoon romantic read with a little drama on the side, then this is the book for you. Lainey Larkin and Ethan McIntyre both grew up in Harpton, Colorado with her brother Connor. Lainey and Ethan had been high school sweet hearts, but Lainey always had big dreams of going off to New York and being a play write, while Ethan wanted to stay in Harpton on the family ranch. The Larkin Family had always had the contract for the wilderness classes for years until this time and Connor did not gotten the renewal forms in and Ethan got the contract. Lainey went livid and flew back from New York to confront Ethan. They came up with an agreement that they could share the contract, since the County was now requiring at least twice the number of classes as before. The only problem was they both discovered that they still had feelings for each other, and they had to do the first class before Lainey went back to New York in a month. Just how were they going to work that closely together? Ethan did not know if he could let her go again. Also, as always throw in an accident or two and you have a set on the edge of your chair story.

Do you have a thing for second chance romances? If so, then this should definitely be on your “to read” list. Lainey Larkin left her family, their ranch, and her high school love, Ethan, behind in Colorado to see what the rest of the great big world had in store for her. But when the future of her family’s ranch is in question, she feels the pull to come home and do whatever she can. Imagine the shock when she figures out it is her high school boyfriend threatening the family’s ranch. The author delivers on romance, drama, suspense and true unconditional love. And the fact that this book had a true faith-based undercurrent made me one happy reader.

Awesome read.
Lainey, Connor, Tara, Ethan were so unbelievably busy that it made me tired just reading about it. Lainey is back home for a few weeks to deal with her anger at Ethan which, to be honest, was not really fair. Now they are going to be working together and that made for an interesting read. Remember these two have a history. There is danger in this book so expect a page-turner. This was a splendid faith-based piece that just proved that there is a plan you just have to let God take the wheel (thanks Ms. Underwood). I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is a sweet second chance romance between Lainey and Ethan who were high school sweethearts. The spark is still there and passions rekindle but they have many hurdles to overcome as they move forward. The author brings strong characters and an exciting story filled with drama and romance. It’s well written, moves quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading.
