As soon as Darla Michaels hears that her friends cafe has burnt to the ground, her need to help them kicks into overdrive, and the ideas start swirling. She thinks an Cowboy Christmas Festival fundraiser might just be the perfect way to help them out, between the festival, rodeo, and a sexy cowboy calendar they are certain to stir up enough funds for a rebuild.
But she can’t plan all this alone, which is where her “special friend” Ty Forrester comes into play, he knows rodeo and of course he would be perfect for the calendar too. And he also has a famous football playing brother that could certainly cause an uptick in attendance… but Ty has his reservations about inviting his brother. Ty told his family a little white lie, and if he invites his brother it’s bound to get out that he lied to his family… so his only choice is to fess up or convince Darla to play along, and that could be dangerous territory!
A Cowboy for Christmas was an absolute delight to read, it’s wonderfully crafted characters are certain to have you smiling and swooning throughout! Ty and Darla were quiet the pairing, they danced around their feelings and tried their best to keep each other at a safe distance from their heart… but as always love won out. I really enjoyed this one, it had heartfelt emotion to tug on the heartstrings, humorous bits to keep me giggling, and some steamy action to curl the toes… it was a perfect small town romance literary escape! Highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it’s got everything necessary to put a squeeze on the heart and stir up some holiday feels!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
This author always has a way of hooking me immediately into her stories. As much as I was enjoying this book, this one didn’t seem to hook me right away. I was invested in the story and characters and wanted to keep reading, but didn’t feel the overwhelming need to keep reading until the end. Then, a switch was flipped about the time Darla and Ty were heading to the airport to get his parents. I got so immersed in their tale I just didn’t want to put the book down.
Throughout the whole story I had butterflies. Sometimes that had to do with the obvious chemistry between the characters. Sometimes it was the heartbreak I would feel for one or both of them. Not only were they hurting each other (albeit not on purpose), but they were both dealing with past hurts. I will admit I didn’t expect to like Ty’s parents, just as Darla didn’t expect to like them. Not only did they surprise us both, but it was hard for me to understand how they treated Ty as compared to how the treated his brother, Rhett. Especially when Ty is such an obviously good person and his brother…is not.
Being around Ty’s family really helps cement a lot of the feelings Darla has been denying when it comes to Ty. But she has to figure out a way to accept that she has feelings and what that means. And if she’s going to let things go further and become real.
I love this story so much. Not only does Darla learn to live again, but Ty gets his family back. Ty’s parents definitely did not handle things with him and his career correctly, but he finally understands their actions and learns to see things from a different perspective.
While I’m sad this is the last of this series, I’m looking forward to what Sara Richardson has in store for us next.

So happy with this book. Loved how it ended..good tears
I really enjoyed getting swept away in this small town romance.
This was such a fantastic fake fiance Christmas read and Darla and Ty were just the best couple to pull it off. Darla and Ty have some amazing attraction even when she’s trying to convince herself it can’t happen because she just can’t move on from the loss of her husband ten years before. Ty will do anything to prove that the feelings they have are far from fake.
This one is sure to delight many of readers!!

Kudos for Sara Richardson for this moving Christmas Edition set in the beautiful backdrop of Colorado featuring Wine Bar owner Darla Micheals and Bull Rider Ty Forrester.
This book delves into their personal lives and what makes each of them tick and how they team up as a fake engaged couple to help out friends in need.
This book will touch your heart on so many levels and you may need to pull out the tissues!
This is a wonderful love story, centered around Christmastime. Neither Ty nor Darla are looking for love, but after they need a “favor” from one another, will they be able to keep their hearts safe? These characters have been in other books in this Rocky Mountain Riders series, but they finally get their own! This was a very enjoyable read! The author, Sara Richardson, does an amazing job writing this story and series. It can definitely be read as a standalone, but makes a wonderful addition to this series! 4.25 stars.
An enjoyable last visit to Topaz Falls. Darla and Ty’s story was had plenty of heart with the right amount of heat. Loved getting to see all the characters coming together at the end.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC received via NetGalley.
A sweet read that will have you falling in love with Ty, the cowboy, just like Darla did.
Even though this is the 6th book in her Rocky Mountain Riders series it can be read as a stand alone. Darla is a widow who comes up with an idea to help her community when the town cafe burns to the ground. Her plan to get the funds to help rebuild is to have a bachelor auction & rodeo. She enlists the help of Ty who is a cowboy in their town. He agrees to help her, if she’ll pretend to be his fiance while his family visits. This is such a sweet story and it was nice to see the walls Darla built around herself ever since her husband passed away slowly crumble. This is such a charming town with wonderful characters.
Darla lost the love of her life to cancer almost 10 years ago. She moved to small town of Topaz Falls and opened wine and chocolate bar. She had few hook ups with Ty.
Ty is a bull rider who lives in Topaz Falls.
When their friend loose bakery in fire, Darla is first to organize bachelor auction and cowboy calendar and who will be better if not Ty and his brother.
Ty doesn’t want his brother and parents to visit him…he lied to them that he is engaged.
Darla is ok with being fake fiancé to Ty.
Great story and characters, I did enjoy this story very much.
This is the sixth book in the Rocky Mountain Riders series, but can be read as a stand-alone book. Darla Michaels is a widow who is approach the ten year anniversary of her husband’s death. When her friends cafe is burned down, she decides that the community needs to work together to help them out. She enlists her friends with benefits, Ty Forrester, to raise money for them. Darla wants to have a bachelor auction with Ty and his fellow Rodeo stars, and Ty’s brother Rhett, who is in the NFL. Problem is Ty is tired of living in his brother’s shadow and he lied to his parents about why he couldn’t go home for Christmas. He told them he was engaged to Darla. Of course, this sets up the fake engagement so Rhett and the rest of the family will get behind the auction. Ty and Darla are an engaging couple. Ty is a great guy who has some Cain and Abel issues with his brother. Darla has put up some serious walls to protect her heart from the hurt she suffered from her husband’s death. Watching them work through their issues towards their happily ever after was well worth it. I have never read any book by this author, but this book makes me want to read the rest of this series. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
This is such a good book!

Everything you want in a true romance.
Ty Darla, steal your heart
from the very first pages to the last.
It has the small town charm & the comfort
of friends & family. I loved everything about this Must Read Story!!
This is the perfect holiday story and one that will make you smile and leave you with a “feel good” sensation.
The plot is engaging, the main characters perfect in their imperfections, and the town of Topaz Falls one that you will want to visit.
