Excellent book! A page-turner. Always surprised by what happens next.
I almost stopped reading this book early on, because the whole Beauty and the Beast vibe wasn’t appealing to me. I’m so glad I decided to stick with it. Such a great story. I can’t wait to read the next book.
“A Court of Thorns and Roses” is a sexy fantasy retelling of the story of the Beauty and the Beast that somehow manages to be its own story, one in which Beauty is a fierce huntress and the Beast is a powerful (not to mention hot) faery lord. Feyre just wants to survive in the harsh human world, and in the process gets sucked into the dangerous …
I really enjoyed this book, it was just so different. I’m reading the 2nd book in the series with one more to go.
I’m a sucker for retelling and this Beauty and the Beast retelling is one of my absolute favorites. Don’t get me wrong though, Maas is brilliant at creating a brilliant new, and original world, but I love being able to see one of my favorite tales in the bones of the story.
This is one you don’t want to miss.
Feyre, our unassuming and …
Book 1 of at least 3 – Fantasy novel of Feyre, a nineteen-year old female attempting to survive on the ‘human’ side of the wall. She kills a wolf, who is actually a fae, ends up on the ‘fae’ side of the wall and is thrown into breaking a curse or die tryiing. Although the book starts out slow it soon speeds up and engages the reader in Feyre’s …
I never read a book about the fae until I read this series. It has magic, and charm, Rhys is funny, there’s smut (which I love) and by the way, the author knows what she’s talking about! Action, adventure, and a happy ending. Love this series!
I had like…one negative thing to say about this book–people are forever being cut to ribbons. It’s such a random thing to see repeated so much. It really stuck out.
The rest…I LOVED everything about this book. Mostly. The masks made my face hurt. Like…actually imagining living your life for years with a mask stuck on and immovable. The …
Loved this book!
I’ve heard so much about this series, I’ve been wanting to read it for ages! So I was really pleased to get a copy from NetGalley. Did it live up to the hype?
Yes! The writing is enchanting, from the moment we first meet Feyre out hunting in the woods, desperately trying to keep her poverty-stricken family alive. The first chapters ease you into …
Initially, I felt like this story was a Cinderella meets Beauty and the Beast kind of story. I was a little disappointed and dismayed, it was recommended to me by my daughter. The farther I got into the book I was intrigued and surprised with Sarah’s story telling. By the time I finished the book, I was ravenous for the next book. Feyre is the …
I discovered this book on my own. In my country reading community it is believed that a book enters into your life because of something special. This story appeared when I needed it. And it could not captivate me more. The 2nd book is far better even I was not deceived by the first one.
An amazing book that will keep you in suspense until the end

I can’t believe I allowed myself to be late to the party. It seems like everyone has read this series and I now understand why so many people love this book and enjoy the series. I feel bad for the other book I was reading when I started this book because I ended up not reading it until I finished this one.
ACOTAR moves at a pace between average …
This book hooked me so much that I bought the next two in the series. So, so good. Highly recommended
I don’t even know what to say other than I am jealous that I wasn’t the one writing this story, lol. It played with all my feelings, surprised me, shocked me, broke my heart, made me swoon…and confused me. At this point I still love Tamlin but Rhys is such a unique and intriguing character. I already have the next book cued in. I now know what the …
The first Sarah J. Maas book I read didn’t really grab me, but I’d heard so much about her and saw her fans’ passion for her stories online, so I decided to try out a second book from a different series. AND HOLY COW! I get the obsession now. Ms. Maas deserves ALL the accolades she gets for her books. ACOTAR completely blew my mind. It’s basically …
I’m utterly, completely, madly in love with this series!Sarah J. Maas
