The seductive and stunning #1 New York Times bestselling sequel to Sarah J. Maas’s spellbinding A Court of Thorns and Roses.Feyre has undergone more trials than one human woman can carry in her heart. Though she’s now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people. … lives of Tamlin and his people.
As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre’s hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin. While Feyre navigates a dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms. She might just be the key to stopping it, but only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future-and the future of a world in turmoil.
Bestselling author Sarah J. Maas’s masterful storytelling brings this second book in her dazzling, sexy, action-packed series to new heights.

This is the second book in the series, and I was breathless the whole time reading it. I think I understand the term “book boyfriend” a little bit better after this one.
THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!!!!!!! This is a must read book, Maas put in the most incredible heart wrenching plot twist! PLS READ it is amazing!
let me start by saying when i picked up this book for the first time i almost put it down when i saw that it was 624 pages!!! i loved the first book i read, A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSE’S which was 432 which is alot . im so glad i got it! it was AWESOME!!! this writer has such a great way of pulling you in from the beginning to the end. i love her characters their so deep and have many layers. the high lord of the night has had my attention from the very start he is by far one of my favorite characters of any book i have read.he has such personality and all the things i love in a male lead. hes loyal, kind and cares for his people and his inner circle from cassian to mor to amren to the dark and sexy mysterious azriel another of my favorite characters. rhysand is a very loveable bad boy and the way he banters and filrts with feyre is sexy and hot all in one. i knew these two would come together, or at least i hoped. tamlin was sexy and seemed like the golden boy and hero, but i saw him differently. he was a controller who used love and kindness to a girl who hadnt been shown it in along time. if anything i liked lucien better he seemed to be a good guy, but he was doing what tamlin said even when he new it was wrong. i havent been pulled into a book this much were i actually saw it in my head from the characters to the places and things that were taking place. i love this world sarah has created. anything fae has always held my attention and i cant wait for the next book. their going to be sorry they messed with the high lord and lady of the night court and their family and people!!!
This book is my favorite in the ACOTAR series, there was not a time I was bored while reading this book. There were some moments where the main character Feyre really got on my nerves because the change in her from this book from the first one was drastic. Drastic but necessary, I found myself getting angry with characters, getting upset, feeling ecstatic, I felt connected to them in a way. This is a book and series that I can read over and over again and still have these intense emotions brought back up.
I absolutely loved this book. The surprise that came out was amazing and totally unexpected. I was in love with it and hanging on to every word. I can’t wait to read the third book because the end leaves on such a big cliffhanger!
Best book I have read this year! Love it so much! The most amazing world building, characters that you root for and others that you hate with a passion, the romance in this book is off the charts!!! Can’t wait to get my copy of the next book in this fantastic series!!
No Spoilers. I recommend this book because Maas does an amazing job drawing out the build-up of romantic tension between the two main characters. The first book in this series was great, but the story line in book 2 will blow your mind. I have read this book twice already and I am in great anticipation of the book 3 release May 17′.
This is one of my favorite books and no, obviously it’s not entirely realistic but this is a book with fae and magic and other things that unfortunately don’t exist. What I love about this book is that it makes me feel so, so much. **SPOILERS** I am actually in love with the main male character, Rhys, and just the bond between him and Feyre is incredible. It has made me want a love that powerful, a partner I life who completes you and who you complete. I truly, truly cannot wait for the next and final book in the series to release. I preordered it the day after I finished this one, which was over three months ago.
I highly recommend this series and Sarah Mass as an author in general.
WOW!! My mind is absolutely buzzing right now as I can’t stop thinking about everything that l have just read. This truly is a phenomenal story. I never would have thought I’d enjoy reading A Court of Mist and Fury more than A Court Of Thorns and Roses, but I did.
I need to correct something I said in my review of ACOTAR. My exact words were “I was and will always be #TeamTamre (as I have named Tamlin and Feyre)”, well that changed rather quickly. I’m actually wanting to reread the first book to see if I had been wearing rose tinted spectacles or maybe Tamlin had me under his spell . I must say that I do love it when an author has me unexpectedly changing my feelings towards a character!
OMG the sexual chemistry and anticipation is incredible. I may have needed a cold shower or two just from that anticipation alone!! Both Rhys and Feyre have continuously surprised me throughout their journeys – in fact many of the other characters have also! This book has had me feeling every emotion – I have laughed, cried, swooned, smiled, felt fear, fallen in love and come to despise some people too. I must not forget to mention the angst and sadness in this story because some scenes have been complete torture to read! A Court of Mist and Fury truly has it all!!
This story, as I’ve already mentioned, is phenomenal and the writing is too. The storyline and the characters have been perfectly penned. There are twists and turns that were completely unexpected – which I loved. I am also loving the way the author, at times, mentions something that happened previously in the story, and because this story has different elements to it and is jam packed with so much detail, I found this allowed me to see how the story is coming together whilst reminding me of something relevant to that particular scene that I may have forgotten. I am absolutely loving every single moment!!
I’m firmly in the camp of #Team Rhys and Feyre now, and that is where I am going to stay. No more eating my words…. I hope I know I didn’t expect to change my feelings towards Feyre and Tamlin who I originally thought were perfect together, but I am 150% certain that won’t happen with Rhys and Feyre as I now realise that Rhys and Feyre truly are made for each other. I’m just hoping that all will be well in the end and that they can have their ‘happy ever after’ together. I cannot wait to find out!!
This book was ah-mazing! Maybe even the best I’ve read this year. It was even better than the first! And OMG Rhysand You think you know him in ACOTAR, but you don’t. His character arc is unrivaled. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
I wasn’t daunted by the 624 page tome because I knew that Sarah Maas would deliver a riveting story. And she did. This book has it all – magic, friendship, betrayal, dark humor, love, battles, and a fight to rule the world. So much action in this story, but there was also time to really get to know the characters well. My only complaint is that it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, so now I need to find and read the next book! (Actually I’m looking forward to it!).
If you like fantasy and action, then this is a book you’d enjoy – but start with the first in the series.
I couldn’t stop thinking about this book. I’ve purchased all three, book one was fabulous as well, and I’m just now reading book 3
I reread this book so many times
1) OMG that book is soooooo steamy and well written
2) Feysand is now my OTP. Clace? Who’s Clace?
It’s rare for a sequel to exceed the first book, but this one does just that. I enjoyed A Court of Thorns and Roses, but A Court of Mist and Fury burrowed into my heart and refused to leave.
Oh, and Rhysand….just two words there. BOOK BOYFRIEND <3
AHHH. I loved this book so much!!!!!!!!! I thought I loved the last one, but that’s only because I hadn’t read this one. I seriously want to marry some of these characters. This is a MUST read for all fantasy and romance loving readers.
Wow! Just when you think it can’t get worse it does. Just when you think there’s no way out there is.
I loved this book
A Court of Mist and Fury was a slow read for me, because I did not like who Feyre was in the beginning. This Feyre was a pale copy of who she was in the first book. Everyone in the Spring Court was making me angry, even Lucien. Then things changed, and Feyre found herself again. The re-emergence of the tail-kicking, take no trash heroine was awesome. I am very glad I didn’t give up on this book, because it ended up being one of my favorite books of the year, so far.
A great Celtic/Fae-inspired series with a perfect balance of grit, world-building, darkness, romance, and strong, flawed characters. I’m currently obsessed with this series and I finished reading it about a year ago ;). ACOMAF is the second in the series and my personal favorite.
