Welcome to Wychwood-on-Lea… a not-too-quaint village where frosty evenings, welcoming fires, and second chances will make this a Christmas you’ll never forget.Anna Vere has escaped to the Cotswolds for Christmas to try to heal from her broken engagement and, far worse, her broken dreams. When her reserved room at a bed & breakfast is flooded, she takes up the offer of camping out in … camping out in Willoughby Close, the converted stables of the nearby manor house… and is taken under the wing of sexy local carpenter Colin Heath.
What starts out as merely helping a neighbor in need turns into far more as Colin and Anna share a surprisingly intense and emotional connection, weaving their own Christmas magic as they spend the holiday together. But Anna has a secret she’s scared to reveal, something that could destroy the fragile bond they’ve just created, and Colin knows she’s only in England for a short time. Can these two sudden soul mates risk their hearts for a love that has yet to be tried and tested?
Get swept away by this poignant and heartwarming story, set in beautiful Wychwood-on-Lea, in the English Cotswolds. And look forward to four more books set in Willoughby Close, where everyday miracles and happily-ever-afters are guaranteed.

A very endearing, happily ever after story. It’s an easy, fast, light hearted read. Anna & Colin are engaging & you just want them to find their happiness. I really like this series & would recommend it.
I wish we could all run away from our problems and find happiness. It was a nice book for a quick read.
A Cotswold Christmas (Willoughby Close Series Book 1) by Kate Hewitt is a sweet romance, set in a small village in England. Getting away from her troubles to a foreign land seemed like a good idea at the time but when she arrives at her destination she finds things have changed. What she found was more than she had ever bargained for. What she found would change her life. This is a short but oh so sweet story that is well very well written. Kate has given us wonderful tale of love that is engaging and at times sad but a delightful easy read. This is a fantastic start to this series that has you falling in love with the characters and in to the story. I can’t wait to enjoy more stories from this small town series. Hopefully we will
continue to read more about the characters from this book as the series progress because I want to see where things go for them.
I highly recommend this one to anyone who loves a sweet romance!
Predictable, but fun
Loved this series!
Charming story
Short witty story, I enjoyed it x
A lot of build up and not much of a payoff. The characters were two dimensional and predictable.
great ready especially when you are in a snowy, cottage type town at christmas/holidays.
This is the perfect length book for the season! It was a welcome relief from the busyness and bustle of Christmas!
Liked the settings. Great escapism.
A good Christmas romance.
I liked it. The characters were well developed and there were enough plot twists to hold interest.
This book was a delightful and simple to read. Helped me appreciate the flow of the moment.
A really good read! The heroine was easy to identify with. Christmas dream trip starts out with flooded B&B, no other place to stay, expect in a cold, unfurnished house in another town. Enter hunky handy man who fixes everything with a smile to brighten any dreary day. Yeah. A good read.
It was a quick read, I’d have liked to know more of the happily ever after, the end bits we’re a bit all thrown in to finish the book
A really cute fun read.
Lovely! A short, sweet story. I was very invested in the central female character.
It’s a shame to give this book such a poor rating because the writing and editing and character development are good, but explicitness and predictability without much of a plot is not my genre. It could have been so much better without the ickiness and with more of a story line.
Cute, fun to read, a good holiday escape and a little view of a Cotswold Village.
