Three tattoo guns.Five motorcycle tires.Countless T-shirts.That’s what I lost before I realized nothing good comes from dating my co-workers. Usually, I don’t have much self-control. So, the fact that Frankie Grant is a hot, talented tattoo artist means it’s a damn miracle she hasn’t already been in my bed. But nothing can happen between us because Frankie comes with Jolie, her young daughter, … Jolie, her young daughter, and a crap load of baggage from her ex. And those are two things I never entertain.
Anyone who knows me—the screwed up foster kid from the wrong side of the tracks—knows I’m not the guy you take home to meet your parents, let alone your kid. But I also know what it’s like not to have parents, so things get complicated when Jolie asks me to be her daddy.
I might as well just slash my own tires now.

In this book, we get Frankie and Jax! Finally! I have waited a long time for this one! In the previous books in this series, we have gotten such a build up and small glimpses of these two but the attraction was building. I was waiting patiently and it did not disappoint. This was such a fun book to read. I loved seeing these two try to fit into each other’s lives and get past all their insecurities. Not to mention one or two steamy scenes! I also loved getting updates on all the friends who have had past books. This is one kick ass love story!
What a great book to end a fun series. So many emotions and hearts involved with this one. Love how we finally get to learn more about Frankie & Jax.
Who would have thought Jax had such a sweet side!! I swooned the entire time! A Co-Worker’s Crush was the sixth book in Piper and Rayne’s Rooftop Crew series! It can be read as stand-alone but you don’t want to miss out on this amazing group of friends! It was a heartwarming enemies to lovers tale full of chemistry and witty banter!
Jax moved in with his friends after traveling for years. He was ready to stay in one place for awhile but settling down wasn’t an option. That was until he started spending time with Frankie. Would his opinion start to change or would her kid be a deal breaker?
Frankie was a package deal; with her came Jolie. Jax somehow snuck his way into their hearts, but would he be able to handle them?
I could not put it down, it had all the feels! The way Jax was with Jolie made my heart melt. I knew once they finally got together they would be on fire and Piper and Rayne did not disappoint! I loved getting to see everyone come together and create this amazing group of friends!
This is the last book of the Rooftop Crew series and Piper Rayne left the best for last!
Jax and Frankie’s love story is so tender, emotional and of course sexy. However, the emotional part is that makes this book so special. Jolie is the best kid ever, so sweet and understanding (even in her young age) of her mother. Her relationship with Jax is so tender and so beautiful, it is like these two souls were make to be father and daughter.
Jax is so insecure of himself but his love for Frankie and Jolie only makes him stronger.
This book is beautiful and please read it because you will love it!
This series is great but this book is special.
Loved it!
A Co-worker’s Crush by Piper Rayne has the same magical romantic goodness but with some differences. It’s more gritty and more angsty. It was the fitting story to end the Rooftop Crew series. As always, I am sad to say goodbye to these amazing characters but this story made me forget my sadness a lot.
Jax and Frankie have been working together in the tattoo shop for a while now. And they are constantly bickering and teasing. Their sexual tension is off the charts. But Frankie had an abusive relationship and her daughter Jolie is her priority. And commitment phobic like Jax will only cause heartbreak for her and her precious girl.
Jax is probably my most favourite character of the whole series. He had a rough past. He loves to live free. He brings on the bad boy alpha vibe so good. But this rugged and broken man has an unbelievable soft side. That we can see when he takes care of Jolie’s wishes and fills up the blanks in her life. Frankie is strong and fierce but she has too much on her plate. She hesitates to trust easily. She has a big heart and that heart recognised the good man in Jax. It was a hard road. A rollercoaster. Their chemistry was never in question. It was super hot. But to build up something beyond lust was the struggle. And they were successful at the end of the journey. The rooftop crew rocked as usual. How can I love them and miss them more than real people…I don’t know. That’s Piper Rayne for you!
Piper Rayne delivers another perfectly swoony and wickedly steamy enemies to lovers romance in The Co-worker’s Crush!
I reviewed an early copy voluntarily
Piper Rayne has created a story that proves it’s not what you are born with, but the people possibilities you choose that make you better. Frankie, Jax blend together to make a family like no other. This book is a must read.
I was really excited for this installment in the Rooftop Crew Series. I mean, all the snippets of Jax and Frankie in the previous books, made me anxiously waiting for this one. I just felt, that their story would be amazing, and it definitely was!
Frankie is just an amazing strong woman, who I kind of look up to. She had big challenges in her life, and yet she conquered them and it only made her stronger. But all she went through, didn’t change how she loves and feels for other people.
Jax, I have no words. He is so different from what I expected, yet he is so perfect. Well, not perfect, cause who is these days
But he is in his own way. He has such a soft side, that you didn’t expect of him. When the Chapters where from his point of view, I was always surprised how he thinks and feels.
And Jolie, oh my, I now understand why nobobdy can say no to. Such a cute but strong willed little kiddo, you just have to adore.
The direction of this story was different then I expected, and I wasn’t sure if I would like it at first, but damn, I so do! It is a slow but also fast going one, and just great.
Definitely my favourite of the Rooftop Crew Series!!
Hopefully we will get to see all those beautifully characters from this series again, in some coming books, it’s always hard to say goodbye!
As sad as I was to see this story I was also so in love with both of these characters from the time they were both introduced in this series and was happy to finally see how their story turned out. And what a story it was.
Jax and Frankie have had a bit of my heart from the get-go and I knew their story was going to be an epic finale to this fantastic series. Way to go Piper Rayne!
Jax loves the life he leads, no responsibilities but himself, loves his job and loves his freedom. Or so he thinks. Enter his co-worker Frankie and she slowly changes his way of thinking.
Frankie is a single mom trying to navigate her burgeoning career and keeping her mom guilt to a minimum. When she first meets Jax, there is such animosity between them. But there is a very thin line between love and hate, Frankie and Jax are the very definition of that.
Their chemistry is off the charts hot, white-hot, hotter than the hinges on the gates of Hades! I’ll admit, even after the numerous romance books I have read and reviewed, I caught myself blushing and have to grab my old lady fan to cool myself off after reading some of their smexy times!
This story was the perfect ending to a group of people that I fell for hard! I know I will be re-reading all of these stories again in the future!
Jax and Frankie were worth the wait. Their story was so sweet in how we had two people who more than deserved love and family, finally finding their other half. It was not an easy journey, but it was made sweeter with Jolie and a puppy. Not to mention a couple of named Christmas trees and an extended family of friends who more than had their backs.
Our authors were able to take this slow burn that had been building up–oh, you knew it was coming with all the fighting they were doing–and had it combust most satisfyingly. Jax showed so much depth and heartfelt emotion; his interactions with Jolie were precious. Let’s just say the snowman building contest with two professional tattoo artists and an airbrush was epic. Although I have to say the drinking game scene was my favorite.
I continue to be a fan of the low angst but high heat of Piper Rayne’s work and the beautiful families they bring us who are either blood relations or families by choice. I love these families’ fierceness for each other and the bonds they build. It makes reading any of Piper Rayne’s series a fun adventure.
Oh Jax! Piper Rayne saved the best for last in the Rooftop Crew!
Months of bickering and sexual tension gives way to a drunken one-night fling between Jax and Frankie, co-workers at Ink Envy. It changes everything between these two and Jax and Frankie are perfect for one another!
I loved everything about this couple! How insecure he is about his place in her and Jolie’s life, how he feels like he has no clue what it takes to be a father, and how patient and understanding Frankie is as she shows Jax that he is a better father to Jolie than the sperm donor has ever been.
Despite his fears of failing Frankie and her daughter, Jax is such a stand-up guy. Even when he’s presented with a situation that could send him running away, he faces it head-on because he realizes that he wants to be the guy they depend on.
A Co-Worker’s Crush was the perfect ending to this series. It’s full of so much heart, so much heat, and an adorable little girl who has the adults around her wrapped around her finger. The last chapter is the opening for a new Piper Rayne series — I can’t wait! Love me some sports romance! — and the extended epilogue is a perfect look into the future for all these couples from the Rooftop Apartments.
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
4.5 Stars
A Co-Workers Crush is the sixth and final title in The Rooftop Crew series, and it’s the story I’ve been most eager for.
Although it’s bittersweet to finish this series, I adored this emotional and heartwarming enemies to lovers read.
Jax and Frankie have undeniable chemistry that just oozes from the page. Their banter is witty, fun, and flirtatious, but also full of sarcasm and sass and they love nothing better than to bicker with each other.
Frankie is a resilient heroine, doing her best to survive and raise her young daughter Jolie as a single parent. Jax is sweet and sexy and shares an undeniable connection with not only Frankie, but her young daughter as well.
As much as it’s sad to see the end of this series and the characters, I’m looking forward to delving into the new series’ that Piper Rayne will be releasing in 2021!
It’s the close to another series but Piper Rayne always go out with a bang and a tease of what is to come. It’s not necessary to have read the prior books in the series to jump right in with A Co-Worker’s Crush but the stories of everyone in the friend group are worth picking up.
Could Jax, the guy who wasn’t chosen to love as a foster kid, believe that it’s possible to be chosen to love as an adult? If you’ve read the previous books, you’ve witnessed the bantering between Jax and Frankie. I’ve been waiting for their story and was not disappointed. The epilogue (and bonus epilogue) is so sweet! I recommend picking A Co-Worker’s Crush up! This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
A Co-Workers Crush is the third and final book in the Rooftop Crew series by Piper Rayne.
This story has been coming since book three and I‘m here for it. Many of us have been waiting for Jax story since he first came to Cliffton Heights.
Jax and Frankie‘s story is low drama and low angst. It still is an enemies to lovers, co worker story with lots of heart and steam.
Jax is a playboy with commitment issues due to his past as a foster child. Frankie is a single mom with a drug addicted ex. They have been skirting around eachother since Jax turned up. Both of them are stubborn and pretty easily annoyed with the other.
I enjoyed Jax and Frankie‘s story alot. It was a perfect read and a great story to end the series! I am sad to see this series end. But I already know Piper Rayne will kick off the new year with more amazing storys

This is the 6th book in this awesome series and is Jax and Frankie’s story. Jax is a bad boy ladies’ man, while Frankie is a single mom to a little girl, and the two of them are tattoo artists who work together. Frankie has a lot on her plate with a drug addict ex, and has no time for Jax’s womanizing, and makes a bet with him to see how long he can last without picking up a girl. My heart broke for Jolie when she gave her letter to Santa, and this little girl has Jax wrapped around her little finger. No spoilers: this is an absolute must read you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written tale which has drama, enemies / lovers, witty banter, and is a sweet, humorous, and entertaining all-consuming and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this gifted duo whose work I highly recommend for all.
4.5* My favorite of the series!
Piper Rayne sure did save the best for last, when it comes to The Rooftop Crew. We’ve been watching things build between Jax and Frankie for quite awhile now, and the payoff was definitely worth it.
I loved seeing these two go from enemies to lovers, to all the things to each other.
Even with Jax’s issues stemming from his childhood, and believing he wasn’t relationship material, there wasn’t a whole lot of drama and angst with this story, which I was so happy about.
For all their teasing, picking at each other, and back and forth, you could tell Frankie and Jax just needed that one spark to ignite everything building between them!
I loved that Jolie played such an important part in this story, she was the sweetest and tugged at all the heartstrings. Jax’s relationship with her was just as amazing as the one he had with Frankie, and thanks to him I’ll never think of Valentine’s Day the same way.
It’s bittersweet for sure, to say good-bye to this awesome group of friends. It’s been a fun ride, as they all found their happily ever afters.
This is book 6 and the final book in The Rooftop Crew and for me this duo left the best for last, I was captivated by Jax and Frankie’s enemies to lovers story and I fell hook, line and sinker for this couple and Frankie’s adorable little girl named Jolie.
Single mum Frankie is trying to keep her and her daughters life on track and the last thing she needs is a relationship but the attraction and chemistry becomes hard to resist and that’s when this entertaining read really comes to life…..
This book ticked all my boxes, I laughed, I smiled and I swooned as I joined this couple on their journey. As you would expect from Piper Rayne, the banter is witty, the chemistry is sizzling and an adorable little girl delivers some classic one liners only a child does well. I’m so excited for the audible to come out on this book and I urge you all to one click this gem.
A Co-Workers Crush is a perfect ending to the Rooftop Crew series! Just like all the other stories it is built on memorable characters that you can’t help but love, all wrapped up in a storyline that combines entertaining banter, steamy scenes and heartwarming moments.
Both Frankie and Jax have a past they would like to move on from, but Jax has never thought of himself as worthy of love. It warmed my heart to watch as both Frankie and her sweet, young daughter, Jolie broke through his barriers and showed him what love was all about!
It’s always fun to catch up with the Crew! Enjoy!

Book six of the Rooftop Crew series and you would think that things would be getting boring or repetitive but no the authors have once again proven they are the bomb at writing and give us a book that had me glued to the pages until the last word. We have seen Jax and Frankie in the previous stories, Jax the instagram tattoo star with commitment issues and Frankie the single mom, who doesn’t have time to deal with Jax and his playboy ways. With some drama, funny bits, cuteness overload and of course some super hot naughty bits, this was such an amazing story. I give this 5 stars.
I couldn’t wait for Jax & Frankie to get there story. There story was well worth the wait. Both characters have a past that is holding them back from there future . Frankie has a bit more a stake as she has Jolie to consider. Some trust & persistence with one another get Jax & Frankie there happily ever after.
Jax Owens is the odd man of the Rooftop Crew. He’d been a contrary character since he appeared with his devil may care attitude and keeping himself shrewd in a level secrecy except to those who know him best, his childhood friends.
He’s arrogant and somewhat obnoxious, especially to fellow tattoo artist Frankie Grant. But through the series we see Jax become a surrogate dad to Frankie’s daughter Jolie and, no matter how much she despises him, she also appreciates what he’s doing for her little girl.
This is one of the most heartfelt love-hate relationships I’ve ever read and I fell in love with these characters and their story. Their hang ups are as real as they come and the issues they have to overcome to find their HEA are the stuff what life is made of.
I could see Jolie as little Natalie Wood in Miracle of 42nd Street and I understood Frankie’s wish to visit the Hoover Dam, but I as hard as I tried, I couldn’t see Jax as a movie character because he was so much more than any I’ve ever watched come to life and his story made me cry as much as some of his actions made me laugh.
Piper Rayne have once again given us another amazing tale of love an acceptance where two people damaged by very different circumstances will come together to complement themselves and build a future together. I just can’t believe we’ve come to the end of the Rooftop Crew and I’m truly sad to see them go.
