Three tattoo guns.Five motorcycle tires.Countless T-shirts.That’s what I lost before I realized nothing good comes from dating my co-workers. Usually, I don’t have much self-control. So, the fact that Frankie Grant is a hot, talented tattoo artist means it’s a damn miracle she hasn’t already been in my bed. But nothing can happen between us because Frankie comes with Jolie, her young daughter, … Jolie, her young daughter, and a crap load of baggage from her ex. And those are two things I never entertain.
Anyone who knows me—the screwed up foster kid from the wrong side of the tracks—knows I’m not the guy you take home to meet your parents, let alone your kid. But I also know what it’s like not to have parents, so things get complicated when Jolie asks me to be her daddy.
I might as well just slash my own tires now.

Ohh this is so bittersweet for me. I have fallen in love with this series and these group of friends. I wasn’t prepared for this series to end but this book was everything I could have wanted and so much more. I have been eagerly anticipating Frankie and Jax’s story ever since Jax was introduced midway through this series. And their enemies to lovers romance has been building for a while now…and it was so worth the wait!
I was so with captivated Jax and Frankie’s love story. I loved their push and pull and their red hot chemistry was impossible to ignore. I enjoyed watching Jax and Frankie give into the attraction they had. And I especially loved the relationship Jax had with Frankie’s daughter, Jolie. It was so heartwarming and added depth to this story.
A Co-Worker’s Crush is emotional, beautiful, and hilarious. It is the perfect combination of everything I love in romance. A MUST READ and a great farewell to the Rooftop Crew.
This was my first read of 2021 and it was amazing! I devoured this book in a day! I have never read a book by Piper Rayne before and I know now what I am in for. I will definitely be putting the rest of their books in my TBR!
Jax is this bad a#! tattoo artist that is afraid of commitment and everything that comes with it. Frankie is a single mom and a tattoo artist, her daughter Jolie is one of the best kids I have ever read in a book. They act like they loath each other but they really are just trying to hide the feelings they have for each other.
There was romance, angst, steamy moments and so much love in this book that it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! This was a great book to start 2021 off with. Thank you Piper Rayne for writing this story it was by far one of my favorites I have read in a while!
I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review!
Woohoo! Talk about saving the best story till the end of the series. I’ve been waiting to read about Jax and Frankie since he first appeared and the war between them began. In explaining this story or anything about it. You can’t leave out Jolie. What a character that little girl is. This is more than a romance it’s the making of a family.
Now as the norm with a Piper Rayne book we can’t talk about any of what goes on or occurs in the story. Just know that whatever you thought would happen does and then some. I cried and laughed throughout this book and a lot of the tears come curtesy of Jolie. Jax and Frankie are different from what I thought they would be. I didn’t realize the weight that they both carry.
This book is a total recommendation from me. It’s a beautiful read with lots of tears and lots of laughter. And like I said at the beginning, they saved the best for last.

I have completely fallen in love with Jax. I wasn’t sure I was gong to but yep he completely stole my heart he had also usurped Ethan as my favorite of the Rooftop Crew men. I love the relationship between Frankie and Jax, who doesn’t love a steamy enemies to lovers? But really the relationship between Jolie and Jax completely stole the show here.
Such a fantastic ending to this series and a sneak peek at what’s coming next! I cannot wait to meet this hockey hotties!!!!
Jax and Frankie are on fire!!! Lana~White Hot Reads
The sexual tension is off the charts with these two. Throw in a pint-size Jolie into the mix and its dynamic. Jolie wants Jax to be her daddy and Frankie is not sure what to do about it. After these two finally get their act together, they realize the past does not define you. What an awesome end to this series.
A Co-Workers Crush is the final book in the Rooftop Crew Series and my absolute FAVORITE book of this series!! I’ve been wanting Jax’s story since he arrived in Clifton Heights and after every interaction between him and Frankie that anticipation for his story grew more and more.
Jax and Frankie’s story is an enemies to lovers romance that will steal your heart from the very first page to the very last! This book had me laughing with the witty banter and one liners, smiling because of Jolie (hello 5 year old comments) and the sexual tension……off the freaking charts!!! This couple was EVERYTHING and absolutely imperfectly perfect!
This story is one of my all time favorite Piper Rayne books and without a doubt on my TOP READS for 2020!
This was such a cute story. But also a light, sexy and sweet read.
Jax was a foster kid who turned out to be an Instagram famous tattoo artist. Now he works in his friends tattoo shop with the women who he loves to torture and tease, Frankie. He and Frankie have a kind of love-hate relationship. They always fighting with each other, but deep down there is some attraction that they will both deny. Until Frankie’s daughter asks Santa to give her Jax as her daddy. But Jax isn’t ready for that type of commitment. He has his own family drama and his own issues to sort out. He isn’t the relationship type of guy… Or is he?
Frankie hasn’t had an easy life. Estranged from her family and having a drug addict abusive boyfriend was not good for her daughter’s life. Now she is doing everything she can to get him out of their lives. And also trying to get away from her growing feelings for Jax. But she doesn’t have the luxury of just giving herself to him, she has a little girl to think of as well. A little girl who would do anything to have Jax as her daddy.
This was a cute story. I loved that these two had this love-hate relationship but you just knew their fighting was more life foreplay, lol… I also loved the relationship Jax had with Frankie’s daughter Jolie, it was just too cute. Even if he thought he wasn’t the dad type he already would do anything to protect that little girl. Loved the story and loved the characters. Another awesome read from Piper Rayne
A Co-workers Crush is a rather unique love story. Jax and Frankie may be co-workers that get along some of the time, however in all honesty these two seem more like enemies, or are they?
Frankie has alot on her plate, especially with her daughter Jolie and the ex who isnt much to write home about. Needless to say the support she has around her is nothing short of amazing. Plus Jolie is an absolute delight.
Will these two get along enough to see what is right in front of them?
This book is so worth reading. With some very heartfelt moments and learning about their pasts, can they both look to a brighter future? I tell you these two made me wonder, but you can definitely see that they want something more, its just a matter of whether they are willing to take the chance.
So incredibly heartwarming that I didn’t want it to end. A perfect ending to The Rooftop Crew series!
I have been dying for Jax and Frankie’s story and the best was truly saved for last. I love the entire Rooftop crew, but Jax is hands down my favorite (sorry Knox!).
Jax and Frankie have insane amounts of chemistry, they have amazing banter, they know how to push each other’s buttons and both of them can give as good as they get. Not only do they have amazing chemistry, but they are both equally amazing tattoo artists.
Jax and Jolie though (insert ovary explosion gif here). I adored everything about them. Jolie is a sweet girl, but her bond with Jax is so heartwarming and just makes you melt. Seriously, no one can survive all that cuteness.
I loved everything about Jax and Frankie, this is low angst, low drama and a whole lot of swoon! Jax and Frankie’s story was everything I wanted and so much more.
This is the last story in the Rooftop Crew and was a great ending for everyone and a great introduction on what is to come from Piper Rayne (which I am super excited about).
If you’re looking for a workplace romance with two tattoo artists, an adorable little girl and plenty of swoony moments this is a MUST READ!
A Co-Workers Crush is the 6th and final book of The Rooftop Crew and once again Piper and Rayne have wrecked me with another one of their fantastic romance series. To say I’m gutted that this is the end of one of my favorite series is putting it mildly. I was invested in each and every characters story and felt like I was part of their friend group. Frankie and Jax’s enemies to lovers romance was absolutely perfect. Underneath every barb, insult and dirty look was a hot sexual tension that you could cut with a knife and watching them fall head over heels in love despite all their protests to the contrary made for a fantastic read in one sitting romance. I loved the closure that their relationship gave to the entire series and feel like it was the absolute perfect way to end it. Thank you Piper & Rayne for giving me this magical place and fantabulous group of characters to fall in love with in this otherwise horrible year. TBR A Co-Workers Crush and Enjoy!
I think this book was the perfect ending to this series. Plus I think it was only fitting that they saved Jax & Frankie for last. We got to watch that simmering sexual tension grow throughout the series & fall even more in love with little Jolie. She really made this book even more special, I loved how much she believed in everything, & how she named everything.
Even though this book had such a sweet aspect to it, it was of course hot as hell. Sexy in a way that can only be Jax. I’ve been looking forward to his book since we met him. He didn’t let me down & I think he topped the other guys & became my favourite. There is just something about a badass hottie with a sweet & loving connection with Jolie that gets me. It wasn’t only the relationship between Jax & Frankie that made this book so great but also between the three of them. Plus getting to see the other couples. I love that Piper & Rayne always make sure to give us lots of scenes with past couples.
I’m going to miss the rooftop crew but could not be more excited for their new hockey series. Once again they’ve created an amazing world that I’m going to miss but can’t wait to jump into the next amazing world they are going to bring us.
What a great way to end this series! This is the last of the Rooftop Crew series that centers around the lives and loves of a groups of twenty-somethings (think friends, but upstate New York instead of Manhattan). Jax Owens and Frankie Grant work together at Ink Envy and are constantly pushing each other’s buttons. Underneath all that tension is something other than antagonism. I think that this might be my favorite book in this series. I was given a copy of this book from the author for my honest opinion.
I went into A Co-Worker’s Crush feeling bittersweet, knowing it is the final book in The Rooftop Crew series, but what I can say is that Piper Rayne gave us a fantastic story to send this crew off.
Jax and Frankie are co-workers at Inked Envy and they are more enemies than friends. They definitely know how to press one another’s buttons! Both of them have been through their fair share of hardships in their lives and so neither of them trust easily nor are they certain that long-term love is for them.
Frankie’s five-year old daughter, Jolie, looks to Jax as a father figure and while he loves spending time with her, the idea of being anyone’s father doesn’t feel like something that he would be good at. It’s funny how things can change in the blink of an eye and how everything can be put into perspective. Will this trio end up finding a family with one another or will the past end up winning out in the end?
Both Frankie and Jax knew exactly who they were, but they both also grew as this story progressed. It was great to see how they were able to bring the best out of one another. Plus, when you have a little girl as adorable as Jolie, how can anyone resist her?! ADORABLE!
I’m sad to see the Rooftop Crew series conclude, but I LOVE that there is a tie to this group in the hockey books that are coming in the new year. Looking forward to what’s to come from this talented duo!
**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
I’ve been waiting for Jax and Frankie’s story even though it’s the final book in the Rooftop Crew Series. Jax and Frankie have needled (pun intended) each other from the day they met in the Dylan’s tattoo shop. Frankie has an adorable daughter, Jolie, who loves Jax. Jax really loves her, too but doesn’t want to get too close. He has some abandonment issues from growing up in the system and not knowing his parents. Frankie has issues, too. Jolie’s father is a drug addict and has hit Frankie in the past. There is such a journey for Jax and Frankie for them to learn to trust each other and have their own self-worth. I laughed and cried during this book. It’s such a wonderful finale to the series. I liked getting to see the rest of the crew and what they’re doing. Frankie’s cousin, Aiden, is introduced and he’s in one of the new series and I can’t wait since we’ll probably get to see more of the Rooftop Crew. Piper Rayne has done it again with wonderful characters that I’ve fallen in love with. I hate to say goodbye to this series but I know they’ll have more books to come. I received an ARC to read early and am leaving my honest review. I have my own copy pre-ordered, too.
5 Star Review A Co-Worker’s Crush (The Rooftop Crew #6 ) by Piper Rayne
This is book 6 in the latest series from and is my favourite book in the series so far. From the first chapter I was absolutely captivated with the story that Piper Rayne wove about Jax and Frankie.
This is an enemies to lover’s story that ticked all the boxes for me. The chemistry between Jax and Frankie is impossible to ignore. Their story is steamy, funny and the banter was witty and I had a hard time putting this one down.
Trying to deal with his past , the last thing that he needs is a relationship, particularly with single mum, Frankie. I loved the relationship that Jax developed with her daughter, it was heart warming and added an additional layer to the story.
As always it was great to catch up with the other members of The Rooftop Crew.
This story gave me all the feels, the chemistry, the banter these two had will have you hooked from the very first page!
Jax and Frankie’s story, and how could I forget Jolie was the perfect ending to this fantastic series!
You have seen Jax and Frankie’s story take shape since Jax first appeared in book 3 in the series and you just knew there would be fireworks between these two.
Jax is still dealing with his past, he isn’t cut out for relationship’s but he can’t deny from the moment he saw Frankie he was attracted to her. He pushes her buttons on purpose to get a rise out of her.
Frankie is a single mum and after leaving her ex, she is jaded and her focus is her daughter and her job. The problem is she can’t deny that her annoying co-worker Jax also happens to be supper hot and that the way that he is with her daughter makes her heart burst.
I loved catching up with the rest of the crew and loved the introduction of Frankie’s cousin!
I have absolutely loved this series! Can’t wait to see what is next.
