A Christmas Rendezvous by Karen Booth. This is Jeremy and Isabel’s story. The two meet and have one night together. It was a very unforgettable night. Thinking they would never see each other again. Little did they know that they would and it would be in the court room. Now opposing counsel they have to fight for their clients as well as fight the attraction that keeps them drawn to them. I love this story, I love how they had to fight their feelings. I enjoyed them as a couple. Now they have to figure out how everybody can get what they want and they can still walk away into each others arms. Good Christmas read.

The fourth book in the series brings Isabel and Jeremy’s story. The author does a great job building the story, bringing it to life with her detailed scenes. She gives them an instant attraction who clash as opponents but are hot and passionate in private. It’s well written, moves fluidly and I enjoyed reading.

Enjoyed the book very much. The characters are fully developed and the story flows smoothly. There is great chemistry between Isabella and Jeremy and they belong together. They first meet at her hotel due to a fire alarm and later as opposing counsel on a case. Really liked how their relationship developed and grew while keeping personal and professional lives separate.

It didn’t end well after their initial hookup.
Last names were only exchanged when the uh, broke.
They pick up again and then they are at odds on a legal case.
Jeremy is divorced and lonely and very much under his father’s thumb.
Isabel is a strong and independent woman, dealing with an unintended pregnancy.
And kittens.

This book is a lover’s dream . Isabel and Jeremy are two well matched human beings and so much fun.
Jeremy especially was stood out. Which is special because he is so reserved, Mrs. Booth was able to put to paper and develop all of his quirks and nuances to the point he came off as suave when he was a a half step from being a complete mess . Truly, his magnetism just floats off the page like gossamer strands of silk .
Isabel is no slouch either, she makes chaos look like a well practiced tango . So yeah, I recommend this book, it’s worth all of your time .
I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It was great having characters that are well developed and engaging and have plenty of chemistry. The flow of the storyline was steady and smooth.

This is book four in the Eden Empire series. It’s about Isabel Blackwood, Sam Blackwood’s sister. You meet her in Sam and Mindy’s story which is book three, A Bet with Benefits. This is also the conclusion of the series. This is a standalone novel. You don’t have to read the other three books to enjoy it but there are some spoilers and the series really was great, so I highly recommend reading the other three books. This was by far my most favorite of the four books. It was well written and while there is a little drama it isn’t overbearing making it a really nice holiday read with a happy ending. Who wants a holiday book full of sadness? Definitely not me.
Isabel is back in New York and staying at a hotel when thanks to a faulty fire alarm, she meets Jeremy. They share a drink and she ends up share her bed with him in a hot night of passion. Things get weird and they part ways never to see each other again. Only fate has a funny way of working things, turns out Jeremy is opposing council in the lawsuit brought against the Eden family by Benjamin Summers and Sam has talked Isabel into representing the Eden’s in this lawsuit. Benjamin is out for revenge against the Eden family who he claims wrecked his family and life. There seems to be a lot going wrong between Isabel and Jeremy. Can they get past it all to find love or is this all too much for their budding relationship to handle?

“A Christmas Rendezvous” is book four of Karen Booth’s Eden Empire series.
Isabel Blackwell and Jeremy Sharp had a super-hot, one night together before they found out they were on opposing sides between the Eden sisters, Benjamin Summers, and the fight for Eden’s.
Isabel and Jeremy are perfect together. Their chemistry when negotiating a deal or negotiating each other is sizzling and sinful.
Ms. Booth is fast becoming one of my favorite Harlequin Desire authors and I can’t wait to see what she writes next.
Karen Booth’s Eden Empire series has a lot of wow factors in it. It is definitely a series romance lovers will want to read.
A Christmas Rendezvous is a perfect holiday novel that could easily become a Hallmark Channel movie(oops they have their own publishing company now)
Isabel is a high powered attorney who has fixed things for some people that probably didn’t need fixing.
Jeremy is her opposing attorney, working a case against the Edens.
I gave this book 4 flowers but for me it may really be 3.5.
The story is great and I love how the Karen keeps the store and the Eden family’s drama unfolding with each book, as we get closer to all the sisters and lovers.
So why 3.5 or 4
Let’s do a pros and cons.
Pros
Jeremy is over 40. Can I get a woo hoo on this. Though he is plagued by the horrible betrayal of his first wife.
Kittens. (I’m a sucker for stories with animals)
Isabel is a strong woman and good at her job and a fighter.
The meet cute care of the fire alarm at Isabel’s hotel was precious.
I loved that Christmas was the season the book was set in, but it wasn’t a total focal point of the story
Cons
There is one big one for me and that was Isabel moving into Jeremy’s house when the hotel had to close because of the fire alarm system failure. She’s a heavy hitting attorney. Truth be told the relationship between the two of them is a little..ok maybe more than a little bit unethical, especially with the type of case this was and for me that detracted from the story, because really outside of their first romantic involvement, they shouldn’t have gone to the next level and I don’t think any good attorney would have conducted a relationship like this while still being involved with the case.
So while I loved the characters, the way their relationship played out bugged me, because for the most part they kept their sleeping together a secret. (Though Mindy knew about the first fling)
Its still a good solid story and one I enjoyed.
Isabel Blackwell and Jeremy Sharp were instantly attracted to each other when they meet and ended up having a one night stand without knowing they would soon be adversaries as attorneys. When discovering this, at first both are truly shocked, until they both come to terms with this news and make some agreements with each other. Some weeks later Isobel has to find a place to stay for some time and Jeremy offers his place to her. As they began living with each other strong feelings come to the surface for them and they have to find a way to make a deal with both their clients and finally focus only on the future of their relationship.
This was amazing to read and i really loved their love story, i was so happy when they finally got their happily ever after.

Great story.
Had not read any books by Karen Booth before so had to start reading the other books from the beginning. I loved the storyline & the characters Isabella & Jeremy were wonderful. I can’t wait to read more books from this author.

Love how the story starts with how Isabel meets Jeremy. I was drawn in and did not want to put it down till I finished reading and love how it ends!!!!!
This was feel good, I liked the strong start and the heroine is no damsel in distress, in fact she is the strength in her family dynamic without being a pushover or a martyr.
There is no big misunderstanding here, even if the couple are adversaries in the workplace, they are very adult about it and get along great.
The formula of HQN works very well here, no over the top alpha male here, a very sweet couple dynamic.

This book was ok. I could kind of predict what was going to happen at the end from early on in the book, so I wasn’t surprised once I got to the end of the book. It was funny in some places, but sadly this book isn’t one of my favorites. I was a little disappointed, since I normally like Christmas books but this one didn’t grab me the way I hoped it would!
