OMG! He was single again! Finally!Lana was not about to miss this opportunity. She’d had a crush on the guy for oh so many years. And her brother was bringing him home for Christmas. It was all perfect. Seduce her brother’s best friend and get to know what all the hype of her teenage years was about. There was only one problem. He is a jerk. He is interested only in off-limits women.Welllllll, what … in off-limits women.
Welllllll, what better way to attract his attention than bring home for Christmas a fake boyfriend and who better for that than her bestie, Cameron, a hot shot doctor who knew just about everything there was to know about her.
It was the absolute perfect plan for the holidays … until she had to share a bed with Cameron.
Umm, hello, where did the kid who used to wet his bed go? From where did this gorgeous fine-ass man come from?
Why was she finding herself more attracted to Cameron than to her long-time crush?
This is a steamy romance novella. No cheating. No cliff-hanger. And the kind of ending you will just love. Team HEA all the way!!

This was one of the sweetest Christmas stories I’ve ever read! I loved how two best friends realize what’s been I front of them all along!

Lana asked her best friend Cam to pretend to be her boyfriend during her visit to her parents house at Christmas because Dale, her high school crush, is also visiting and staying with her parents. Dale who only likes chasing unavailable women is now noticing Lana which she planned and Lana is now noticing Cam who always wanted Lana since high school. Who does she choose at the end in this touchingly story? This was a enjoyable well written romance to read and review. ARC.
I so enjoyed this! this tale is so well written that it had my emotions on a roller coaster. How long does it take a woman to realize what’s been in front of her all the time?

When Lana DeLangly asked Cameron Johnsworth to go back home with her to pretend to be her boyfriend, he decided to take her up on it. They grew up in the same small town and with Dale Smyth, her brother’s best friend who she has had a crush on forever. He was single and staying for Christmas as well, and Lana wanted to make him jealous to see if he would show interest in her.
This is a fun, enjoyable read! I love the seasonal feel of the Christmas-time stories. The characters were great! Well developed and love ‘em or hate ‘em kinda people. There was some hot, sexual content. I liked the flow of the story and the dilemma. The author, Lindsey Hart, is very descriptive and I could picture the small town. I am generally not a fan of the whole “pretend to be my BF so I can get someone else” storyline, but this one worked for me and I enjoyed and would recommend it!
Lana and Cameron are great together. Cameron is her friend and fake boyfriend she is using to attract her childhood crush. However, she develops real feelings for Cameron.

A really enjoyable passionate best friend to lovers read. The storyline is exciting, engaging, emotionally deep, and beautifully written. Loveable strong characters – the chemistry between them is off the charts and intense; the sex scene is very steamy. A really enjoyable read – found myself at the end of the book wanting more (I hope); strongly recommended.

Lana and Cam have been best friends since kindergarten. He’s been in love with her forever. When she asked him for a favor, he saw his chance to be with her. This book was well written and the chemistry between the characters was palpable. I would definitely recommend this book.

A quick read. It will make you cry in spots, at least I did. Friendship between Lana and Cam has always been great. Then one day Lana ask Cam to pretend to be her boyfriend, to make Dale jealous. Will Cam do it? He has always loved Lana, but knew Lana only saw him as a friend. Can Lana ever see Dale as a playboy that he is? What will her parents think about this, if they find out the truth.

Allow a LONG afternoon for this adult tale of obsessions lasting from high school into the early 30s and the results of plans to satisfy those obsessions.

This Christmas novella was a sweet read. There was not a lot of angst or serious conflict. Lana had one kiss from her childhood crush 15 years ago. She has subconsciously built it up in her head over the past 15 years into something bigger than it was. Yet, she still wants another kiss – and perhaps more from her brother’s best friend and the boy who has haunted her dreams. She enlists the help of her best friend since kindergarten, Cam. Cam has loved Lana since they were teenagers. When Lana comes up with a plan get her second chance at the kiss, Cam goes along with it for no other reason than to spend time with her. The plan works and back fires at the same time. Lana must now figure out if what she wants has been right in front of her this whole time.
This was an okay read. I like the idea of the story. Many people have “what if’s” about people from their past and then when the chance actually presents itself, realize that the way they looked at things as children is completely different from the way they do as adults. A Christmas Proposal tries to capture this idea. While there are parts that I really enjoyed, there were other parts that just didn’t make sense. Lana’s says her family is close and that they worry about her and think she is “wild”; yet she goes on to say that she really does not have any close friends and does not go out at night. The contradictions were confusing.

This was a sweet and short Christmas romance. This story had me hooked from the first chapter and a page turner. I enjoyed reading about Cameron and Lana.

This is an enjoyable friends to lovers romance. A cute storyline offers drama, sweetness, humor, heat and romance. The evolving relationship between Lana and Cameron kept you engaged. I really liked the chemistry between these two but was often annoyed by Lana’s ongoing desire for Dale (who I personally thought was sleazy). I did think Cameron was just wonderful. And I fee it is only fair to say that I had an overall feeling that he deserved better.
A Christmas Proposal was such an amazing read! This is a short steamy friends to lovers romance and such a touching story. Cameron and Lana are so hot together and their love for each other is beautiful. A fun entertaining read and I highly recommend it.

This is the first book from this author that I have read and while I thought it to be a quick easy read for me it ended a little abruptly and was a little predictable, not always a bad thing I guess.
Lana was a little hard to like at the beginning, she came across a bit self-centered and only wanted to use Cameron, even after not seeing him for so long. She did eventually wise up to how great Cam was thankfully.
Cameron has loved Lana for a very long time, I did feel he was a bit of a push-over when it came to Lana, he just needed to man-up a little for me. He was likable and wanted to save the world as a Doctor, and he did spill how he really felt about Lana. I liked that he stood up against the jerk in the story!
The ending was really abrupt with Cameron forgiving Lana then that was it over. Maybe an epilogue would have been nice to see how they were after such a sudden stop to the story.
Cameron and Lana have been friends since childhood. When she needed someone to pose as her fake boyfriend to make her brother’s friend jealous, he agreed. Cameron has his own fantasy of being with Lana so he agreed even though he wasn’t worthy but fate always have a way of intervening. Could this fake rouse turn into a happily ever after for Cameron?

Lana and Cam has known each other since forever and they are best friends. Cam even got her a tampon when she needed it, that’s how close they are. After college she’s still considered the wild child and working at a bar. Her parents want her to settle down and Lana just hasn’t met the one. So this Christmas her brother is bringing his best friend home for the holidays and Lana has had a crush on him since childhood. So what does she do invites Cam since he hasn’t been home for such a long time but Lana is making this difficult for him. The plan is they are finally in a relationship and Lana is hoping it will make Dale jealous and make him see her for the first time. Lana’s parents are ecstatic and already love Cam. However now they need to sleep together since there was an issue in Lana’s old bedroom…. Nights of less sleep and stomachs with a fluttery feel, Lana thinks she’s falling for Cam and when did this happen.
This is a good short read and there is HEA but you really need to see how they get it.

This is a quick read since it is a novella, but the characters are well developed. You learn enough about them to care about what happens. Love the story line–very believable, this could be just about anyone.

This was my first book by author Lindsey Hart and I found it quite enjoyable. I found the storyline to be sweet surrounded by a nice coming-home-for-Christmas theme. It contained just enough sexual tension and build-up to keep me turning the pages without pulling my hair out. I’m not sure I was on board with the ending and Cam’s reaction to the events, which I can’t tell you about because that would be a spoiler, but in the end, I liked it. I didn’t necessarily like the way the author kept sneaking in sentences written in the third person as it made me forget whose POV we were in, but I survived it.
When looking for a sweet romance to pass the time in the future, I will definitely consider a book by this author.
3.25 stars–A CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL by Lindsey Hart is a contemporary, adult, stand-alone, romance novella focusing on the friends to lovers relationship between bar waitress Lana DeLangly and Dr. Cameron Johnsworth.
Told from third person perspective A CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL follows the friends to lovers / fake relationship between bar waitress Lana DeLangly and Dr. Cameron Johnsworth. For close to twenty-five years Lana and Cameron have been best friends but Lana is completely oblivious to her best –friend’s attraction to, and love for our story line heroine. With the approach of the Christmas holidays, Lana sets a plan into motion in the hopes of catching the attention of her brother’s best friend Dale, a man she has lusted after for close to fifteen years. What ensues is the fake boyfriend/girlfriend relationship between Cameron and Lana, and the potential fall-out as misunderstanding, jealousy, and miscommunication threaten a life-long friendship between our leading couple.
A CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL is an easy read; a sweet and sexy holiday story where the hero is willing to sacrifice his own happiness for the woman he loves.
Loved it from the first word to the last. A real page turner, couldn’t put it down. Lana and Cameron had been best friends since they met in kindergarten. She needed him to pretend to be her boyfriend to make her brother’s friend jealous. Cameron reluctantly agreed. Cameron could live out one of his fantasies while he pretended to be her boyfriend. She had a big crush on the friend and wanted one night with him. The friend, Dale, always wanted the woman that he considered off limits. This plan was executed over Christmas at her parent’s house. Plans have a way of not going exactly as you want. Highly recommend.
