OMG! He was single again! Finally!Lana was not about to miss this opportunity. She’d had a crush on the guy for oh so many years. And her brother was bringing him home for Christmas. It was all perfect. Seduce her brother’s best friend and get to know what all the hype of her teenage years was about. There was only one problem. He is a jerk. He is interested only in off-limits women.Welllllll, what … in off-limits women.
Welllllll, what better way to attract his attention than bring home for Christmas a fake boyfriend and who better for that than her bestie, Cameron, a hot shot doctor who knew just about everything there was to know about her.
It was the absolute perfect plan for the holidays … until she had to share a bed with Cameron.
Umm, hello, where did the kid who used to wet his bed go? From where did this gorgeous fine-ass man come from?
Why was she finding herself more attracted to Cameron than to her long-time crush?
This is a steamy romance novella. No cheating. No cliff-hanger. And the kind of ending you will just love. Team HEA all the way!!

I thought this book was awesome..I so enjoyed this book.It was very funny..Poor Lana thinks she has the opportunity of a lifetime to lure her age old crush in for Christmas..Only to realize the man who she really wants has been there for her all along..Silly girl!
I was given an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review. While the premise of the book is not new or original, author Lindsey Hart has put her own stamp on it. I found the main characters of Cam and Lana to be charming–especially Cam. It was actually refreshing to have a love interest who is a really good guy and not a bad boy. I think the dynamic between these two is why I rated the story as five stars; however, I did find the ending to be a bit abrupt. The author could have spent a bit more time, go more in-depth to make the story feel real. Nonetheless, I did find the story entertaining and it left me feeling good–that’s what I really want in a romance book. Enjoy the season and make it a bit merrier by reading “A Christmas Proposal.”
This is a be careful what you want, because fate may step in a throw you a curve ball story. Ask your best friend to play your boyfriend at a Christmas family get together and you think it not going to misfire oh poor sad and naive Lana. This cutie was such fun to read because some people just cannot see the forest for the trees and it is fun to see the light dawn. Heat, romance and a blow your mind twist finish this book off. This is a great holiday read. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
It was an sweet, amazing book. Cam was the sweetheart. He was there to do anything for Lana and in that case Lana seemed quite ignorant (in starting). Otherwise it was a good read.
What a short and steamy romance. A friends to lovers theme that will set your Kindle on fire. Lana and Cameron are so hot together. A fake boyfriend that becomes so real Great characters and an entertaining story. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review. Steamy, steamy…
Did you ever know someone that went thru life, living it on their own terms? Lana DeLangley reminds me of one of those people. It’s not that she’s a “mean girl”, it’s just that she is a bit clueless as to what is going on around her…in regards to her BFF, Cameron (Cam) Johnsworth. Old story, I know, but Cam has been in love with Lana for most of their lives. That’s a really long time since they met when they were just knee high to a grasshopper. Cam has never said anything about how he feels to Lana so in this case, I figure they are both on the clueless side. Good story, for the most part, but sometimes the characters felt disconnected to reality, at least to me. I also thought Cam may have over-reacted and Lana may have under-reacted to a couple of situations and Lana’s family felt a bit removed, too. But I did enjoy the read.
This was a sweet, cute, and steamy read. The friends to lovers is one of my favorite themes. Excellent storyline and vibrant characters. Lana finally started to mature when she realized her mistake. Cam was the perfect boyfriend material. Excellent short book.
Sweet and hot Christmas story that will heat up those cold nights!
Cameron and Lana have been friends since childhood so it’s no surprise to Cam when Lana asks a favor that only he would agree to, which is to help make her childhood crush jealous. Over the course of the Christmas holidays, Lana realizes where her heart truly lies. But will it be too late when Cam packs up to leave for South America?
Such a warm-hearted book that touched me emotionally. So cathartic. Loved it!

Loved the way she finally realizes he is the love of her life, because they know each other so well and for so long. Wish there had been a different kind of proposal at the end.
This was a sweet sweet story of a lifelong friendship between Lana and Cam.
The blurb was a great hook when it mentioned a possible love triangle with Lana’s first infatuation, Dale.
The tension was never present though. Dale was an awful person from the get go, and everyone, including her older brother who was his best friend barely tolerated him.
Lana was sweet, strong, pretty, and smart. It didn’t take long for her to realize her plan to make Dale jealous of Cam was a bad idea.
I liked the dual POVs, especially Cam’s. His unrequited love for Lana was sweet and sure.
When they finally get together, it was sweet, hot, and steamy.
I did not care for the ending though. It was rushed and a bit unsatisfying.

Lana has a long time crush on her brother’s friend. Her best friend Cameron has been in love with her for years. Enjoyable read and loved how Lana came to realize the crush, Dale, really was an ***, and that Cameron was the guy for her. The final scene at the airport was so good. Lana “…that I could surrender to you? That I could take a part of your soul and give you a part of mine in return,….”

A cute and loving story, expected a bit more from the title. Cameron and Lana have been friends since they were both kids and that friendship was special to both of them. Cameron is a doctor whose plan was to make a difference in the world in which he fulfills while Lana did not really know what she wanted to do and was now working in a bar. They make a deal, which blows up on Lana, and their friendship is threaten. Overall, they have a happy conclusion, but I would hope there is an extended epilogue to this story as I felt the ending was rushed and short.

Cam and Lana have been best friends forever. Cam is in love with Lana, but she never knew. She asks him to pose as her fake boyfriend to get to a guy she’s had a crush on since high school. I liked the story and I liked both Cam and Lana. I did feel that Lana was kind of clueless about her best friend. Also, it’s clear from the time we first meet him that Dale is a sleaze. Why someone would yearn over him all these years is a mystery to me. The way the story ended made me leery about how it would all work out. It came out of left field not only for me, but for Lana too. I wish we had an epilogue because the end leaves me wondering how the relationship is going to work out.

Fast quick sweet (with a chunk of sexy) read! It has a bunch of feels, the Christmas spirit, and a very humorous drinking scene!

Lana DeLangly was having lunch with her best friend, Cameron Johnsworth, recently returned from what she termed a “saving the world” trip to Mexico to set up a clinic. Now she needed his help with something that was not a good idea. It seems that Dale Smyth, her longtime crush, was freshly out of a breakup. Since he was her brother’s best friend, he was invited to her parents’ house for Christmas. She obviously had no clue how Cam felt about her, so she freely told him how crazy she was about Dale. Cam warned her Dale only went after unattainable woman – those in a relationship – so he could cut it off quickly when he got what he wanted. And that was her point too! She wanted Cam to be her pretend boyfriend and to come to her parents’ house for Christmas. With Dale there, he would make a try for her and she would get her one chance that she had waited for during the past 15 years! At first Cam refused to help. But he had always dreamed of stepping out of the “friend zone” for just one day with her. Maybe this was his chance.
The two met at the mall for coffee to get their “meeting up” story straight. Cam talked about his time in Mexico and not feeling he did enough. As she touched his hand to show support, she felt a shock go up her arm. He was so different from before. She had told him she hadn’t yet met anyone who held her interest – but it was Cam holding her interest right now! Would she ever see that what she truly wanted was sitting right in front of her?
I enjoyed this book. The story line was nice and moved at a comfortable pace. Lana was fairly clueless through most of the story, focused on her own overblown fantasy and oblivious to the “real thing”. But that’s what drives the story forward and gives the reader hope that she’ll get a wake-up call and reach out to Cam before she loses him. Definitely worth reading this one.
This is a semi-sweet story. She is oblivious to his feelings for her. Cam has loved Lana for years – literally. She still thinks of him as her best friend. I say semi-sweet because there are times when Lana is just not getting it and is a little self-centered. Good character development saves this book. I just loved Cam and her brother, Jason. This is a pleasant read.

A quick, easy holiday read with little angst. It took a while for Lana to discover she felt more than friendship for Cam.
I had to go back and determine their approximate age because Lana’s crush seemed a bit childish, as did Cam’s response to a particular situation.
I was surprised at the end. I expected something more. The end was very sudden.
Overall, not a bad book. It was sweet at times, had a steamy moment, and an HEA. I would have loved an epilogue.

How can someone be so blind to best thing right in front of their eyes?
“A Christmas Proposal” may not be the proposal you expect.
This is a quick read, I could not put it down. There are a few very frustrating sections that make you keep reading to find out what happens next.
Lana has has had a serious fantasy crush on her brother’s best friend for the past 15 years, ever since she got a kiss from him at a kissing booth in highschool. This crush has interfered with her having any decent relationship with any other man. However, her “crush” also has the reputation of being the king of all JERKS. Meanwhile Lana’s best friend since kindergarten, Cameron, has been secretly in love with Lana since puberty. Not wanting to lose the wonderful friendship they have he has suffered in silence to Lana’s bemoaning about her “crush”. But when Lana concocts a ridiculous plan to make her fantasy crush jealous by pretending to be Cameron’s girlfriend, will Lana come to her senses and realize what has been right in front of her eyes her whole life before it’s too late or will she jeopardize the best friendship and chance at true love she has ever had? Without giving away any spoilers I will say there is a twist at the end that you might not expect.
A great read.
