I was given a free copy of this Audiobook In exchange for an honest review. I love reading about what Eric is up to, this holiday book did not let me down. Eric’s antics are so fun and crazy! Eric was ready to propose and you won’t believe what happened to the ring and then you won’t believe the problem that arose with it and where he got the new one. If he can get her to marry him can children be far behind? Read this book and find out. Definitely recommend the whole series.
I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and any opinions expressed herein are my own.
This is the prequel to the Peas and Carrots series and describes how Erik and Suzy get engaged. What a delight! It has several very funny situations as Erik tries to set up an ideal proposal for Suzy. This whole series is very heartwarming and highly recommended!
The narrator, Rafe Beckley, is the same narrator for the entire series. He has a very warm and welcoming voice.
I enjoyed reading this story as it shows how the main characters relationship was built and provide a sound basis for the next book in the series. It has a plot, humor, beautiful descriptions of places and people.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my review comments.
Poor guy!! Hilariously funny. For over a week Eric has been trying to propose to Suzy. But everything goes wrong. From one thing to another, he sometimes thinks the universe is telling him he shouldn’t propose. But will love win? This was so funny. I felt so sorry for Eric. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The author has given us characters that we can fall in love with. Eric does everything in his power to give Susie the perfect proposal. However, it feels like the fates are against him.

So adorable! Eric and Suzy love each other, and Eric wants to marry Suzy….but can’t quite find the right words, the right ring, or the right place!
This is a short story, a prequel to the Peas and Carrots Series. It’s a great read for when you don’t have a lot of time, your lunch period, a break with a cup of tea. It’s a sweet story of that particular time when you know your partner is the one but you’re not sure how to pop the question. It’s that heart-fluttering time when you’re thinking this could be forever. It’s Christmas and sometimes magic really does happen and happily ever after might really be real.
This will appeal to those who enjoy romantic comedies. It’s a clean read. Just a feel-good story.
I really enjoyed this short story about a young man and his attempts to propose to his girlfriend.
The characters are really well written for such a short story and I really found myself empathising with the frustration that Eric feels as he goes through a whole load of tribulations, and also Suzy’s consternation.
I particularly like the episode with the dog, I laughed out loud at that, which brings me to Ralph, a great character, totally unreliable but his heart is definitely in the right place.
This is a genuinely heart-warming Christmas read, guaranteed to get anyone in the right mood for the festive season.
I did receive an advance copy of this book from the author, but I have written this review based on my honest opinion.
