A Valentine’s day novella. The short read was witty and fun. Sally is stressed running her own candy shop and unable to get necessary supplies on time. She takes matters into her own hands to get her supplies, and she gets stranded at a small Cafe. The cafe owner is sweet and kind and here are the romance quickly develops.
A Chocolate-Box Valentine is a short, sweet, cute, novella – just the right length for a break from your busy life. Trapped by a storm, workaholic Sally meets Oliver, owner of the diner. Forced to take a break, Sally finds this slower pace to be surprisingly restful. To see how Sally, Oliver and the diner patrons pass their time, you have to read this amazing story.
A Chocolate-Box Valentine by Josie Riviera is the third book in her Chocolate-Box series and is a perfect Valentine’s Day romance that you don’t want to miss.
Nothing is better than chocolate and romance and when they are put together in a great story it is even better.
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
Sally and Oliver were both divorced and running their own businesses. I loved that he enjoyed making people happy with food and giving back. Sally was so focused on her business and trying to keep up with her success by promoting a new infusion chocolate that she forgot about what makes her happy. This was a short and sweet second chance at love romance with an instant love feel.

Sally and Oliver meet under unusual circumstances and bond over their love of food. She owns a chocolate shop and he owns a diner. Loved seeing them fall for each other. A really sweet romantic read with an adorable ending.
This sweet, clean read told the story of Oliver and Sally meeting during a storm that left her trapped at his diner. They’d both experienced love lost at the hands of two selfish people which left them jaded in the love department. Kismet came to play and the walls around their hearts began to crumble. They realized “it’s your last love who truly matters.”

This is a review of the audiobook. This is a nice story about a lady who has a chocolate store & makes the chocolates. It is rather short. I am getting involved in the lives of her & a man when suddenly it’s over. Disappointing from that standpoint. I like Ms. Voller’s voice & her narration. I received this book free from the author. This is my voluntary review.
This is the third book in a Chocolate Box Series and Josie has incorporated the same characters through all the books. Plus Sally’s Bloomingfield Candy Shop specialty Chocolate Coffee Fudge that won an award in the first book is continually mentioned.
Josie’s descriptive writing makes it possible to not only envision the scenes, but imagine the aromas.
A must read
A delightful short and sweet story just right for Valentines Day! The characters are well developed and scenes are vividly described. Sally meets Oliver when she goes to pick up a specialty chocolate order at his diner where it is stranded. She quickly sees how he treats all of his customers and the joy he has in running his business. Can these two have a second chance at love?

Short and sweet romance with plenty of drama. Love happens when you least expect it, even in a diner among strangers that become friends.
A quick and sweet Valentine’s romance with a heavy chocolate emphasis. There were a lot of characters for such a short book and I was impressed at the time and depth given to each.

I love clean, wholesome second chance romance stories. If they are set in a small town…even better! This story has all the elements I like. A Chocolate-Box Valentine is one of those stories that leave you feeling good and wanting more stories set in this small town with these friendly, caring people.
This is the first time I have read anything by Ms. Riviera, but it definitely won’t be the last.
I received an ARC of this novella in exchange for my hones review. The opinions expressed are my own.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. A short read you will love. I enjoyed reading about a new romance and chocolate especially when the ending is so sweet. Looking forward to reading other books by Josie. Definitely recommend.
I enjoyed reading this story.
It’s a short & sweet romance about
two people that have a chance meeting
in the middle of a storm.
Sally & Oliver, were both betrayed in
their previous relationships.
Are they willing to open their hearts?
A Must Read!!
A Chocolate-Box Valentine is a sweet addition to author Josie Riviera’s chocolate-box series. In this novella, chocolate plays a role in the romance – but probably not in quite the way you might expect.
Keep in mind that this is a novella, so things move along a lot faster than you would expect in real life. Even within the confines of this short book, the author is still able to bring her characters to life. I loved the way she was able to bring an immediate connection between Sally and Oliver because they both owned food establishments. A fallen tree serves as the perfect mechanism to provide a reason for them to spend time together.
Extend your Valentine’s Day by an hour or two and curl up someplace comfy and cozy to read this delightful story.
I accepted an advance copy from the author although I had already preordered this book. The chance to read it early was too good to pass up! No promise was made of a positive review and any opinion expressed here is my own.
A Chocolate-Box Valentine (Chocolate-Box #3)
by Josie Riviera
This book starts out with praise for the author and her works.
This short story starts with Sally and her special chocolate won’t be arriving for her to prepare it into special Valentine orders.
Her brother Ben and his fiancee will watch Sally’s daughter Clarissa so she can head down the road to get the chocolate.
The truck driver had some problems with his truck. After Sally arrives a big tree crosses her route back home so she spends time at the diner.
Oliver has made everyone so welcome and she gets to talk to him and learns of his past as he learns of hers.
She decides she needs advice from others not familiar with her wares…
Like how different folks lives are discussed from all walks of life… so interesting.
Recipe included. Ends with an excerpt from the author’s next book.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
Josie Rivera’s Chocolate-Box Valentine is a super sweet novella honouring the holiday devoted to love and romance. Sally – planner extraordinaire and candy shop owner – meets Oliver – spontaneity is his best friend, and diner owner – meet when Sally drives through a storm to pick up a specialty order of chocolate. When the storm fells a tree, she is forced to wait it out in the diner Oliver owns. He is instantly enamoured with the beautiful divorced single mother, but Sally long ago closed herself off to relationships after being hurt by her ex. However, who can resist a man who can cook especially when he wants to do it with you? Oliver is swoon-worthy, and the perfect man to balance Sally out. Together they have palpable chemistry and made this a very enjoyable Valentine’s-themed story.
