Fresh pasta isn’t the only specialty that takes extra time… her brutal schedule to meet with Bloomingfield weatherman Lorenzo Rossi, she crushes her reaction to the tall, blue-eyed charmer quicker and harder than a clove of roasted garlic. Lorenzo may be sweet as Italian cassata and hot as a red pepper, but planning an anniversary dinner means married, and she needs another disaster like that like she needs another olive oil stain on her shirt.
But as she and Lorenzo assemble the ingredients for a perfect celebration, she discovers something completely unexpected. And her heart may not withstand the storm of emotion she never saw coming.
Some recipes don’t turn out quite as you predicted…

A Chocolate-Box New Years is a sweet, fun romance. I love how Julie jumped to the conclusion that Lorenzo was married. Ms. Riviera manages to make this shorter format work. The characters are interesting and well developed. I loved how Lorenzo kept saying the cassata is not quite right! Come watch the magic develop in Julie’s kitchen!
A Chocolate-Box New Years (Chocolate-Box #2) was a great read by Josie Riviera. Julie runs The Pasta Junction and seems to be stretched thin. During the holidays, the restaurant is extremely busy, but she carves out time for the local weatherman Lorenzo. She is extremely attracted to him but he is planning an anniversary party and she knows he must be married. She discovers that everything isn’t as it seems. I really enjoyed reading Julie and Lorenzo’s story and can’t wait to read more by Josie Riviera.
I enjoyed this audiobook. It was a short and sweet insta love story with a man who expressed his love and adoration with passion. New love comes with getting to know each other and learning how to communicate. There was not much of a conflict in this story other than misunderstanding which was communicated and resolved quickly. I enjoyed the narrator and became engaged in the story. She did well with the characters and it was easy to follow along with the story line. I received this audiobook free and am providing an honest review.
This is such a Sweet and Heartwarming Story!
The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world that was created.
The descriptions of the characters and their feelings are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind.

Such a cute story! I had such fun reading it and was disappointed when it ended. This is more than just a holiday romance. Ms. Riviera did an excellent job of bringing the characters to life and pulling the reader in to their world. There are some misunderstandings that get in the way of the blossoming romance between Julie and Lorenzo. You’ll have to read to see how it works out!
I really loved the great descriptions throughout, I could almost smell and taste the food! This was a sweet, clean, and delightful romance. I highly recommend this story to anyone.

Julie and Lorenzo’s story is filled with chemistry and heart that grabs you from the start. I enjoyed this do much I purchased it in the set Chocolate-Box Hearts and also on Audiobook narrated by Allyson Veller. I highly recommend be them all. If you enjoy that feel good feeling then you’ll love this!
This is a short fun read. Workaholic Julie and TV weatherman, Lorenzo, meet when he calls to arrange a one-year anniversary party at her Italian restaurant. They are proof that opposites attract.
Baked with memories!
Lorenzo Rossi is a handsome meteorologist at the local television station who wants to throw a surprise first wedding anniversary dinner party at Julie Elliot’s Italian restaurant, The Pasta Junction. The coup-de-grace will be an Italian cassata made using his grandmother’s recipe. It has to be perfect and Julie will need to bake it as many times as needed to get it right.
Julie Elliot is a workaholic but she has to be to make her restaurant a continuing success. She has no time for men. The one time she gave her heart, she was betrayed. Julie does not normally meet with new customers since most reservations are made online but Mr. Rossi is insistent. He is very charming but she cannot believe it when he starts flirting with her. What sort of man would flirt while he was arranging a party for his first anniversary?
This is a beautiful, clean romance with well-developed characters and a good storyline. It’s a quick, easy read and, although it is part of a series, it can be read standalone.
Julie and Lorenzo are both driven people and Lorenzo wanting a perfect cassata (Italian cheesecake) brings them together. I really liked how they danced around their feelings and gave hints of how they feel but didn’t come right out and say it at first. There are some good laughs, delicious food and a sweet romance that leaves you hungry for Italian food but satisfied with a perfect quick read.

A wonderful well written and beautifully narrated holiday romance story. This engaging storyline is interesting and pleasantly longer than others in the series. It is witty, fun, humorous, has misunderstandings, romance and love in a sweet romance with great descriptive writing. A perfect Italian anniversary celebration with interesting, likeable, well developed characters. The narration is amazingly done with great voice changes and expressions.
