Can two people, who thrive off control, throw themselves into love’s chaotic freefall ? In the last three years, Beau “Sly” Slidell has cheated death, and landed a kickass job in a new city. While some areas of his life are better than ever, others will never be the same. His body isn’t recovering from his accident liked he hoped it would. But, if he finally takes a chance on love, his heart just … heart just might.
After surviving a rough marriage and a bitter divorce, Campbell Talbot is more than happy to embrace her single life. She has a tight circle of friends, a good job, and a list of men to call for fun when the mood strikes her. She wasn’t looking to get in too deep with any one man, but couldn’t resist the draw of Sly’s charming swagger.
Despite their sizzling attraction, his stubbornness combined with her fierce independence drove the two apart. Now, Sly realizes his life is better with her in it and is determined to win Campbell back. Can the lifelong bachelor learn how to be committed to a woman who cringes at the word?

I really enjoyed this next book in the Change Series. I love how the characters interact and I love how everyone that is part of the group is protected and supported by the group. This book allowed me to meet new friends and visit old ones
The great character and storyline development had me hooked from the very beginning and the relationship and chemistry between Sly and Campbell kept me totally engaged throughout the entire book!
This was a quick and satisfying read that I could not put down. “Sly” Slidell is one of the newer Forde men and getting used to their version of “family” has been a difficult transition for him. Beau Slidell found out early in life that no one is responsible for him other than himself and that has become the way he has managed his life since early on. Campbell Talbot has been single since her bad marriage ended several years prior and the thought of ever relying on a man or anyone else in her life has become her way of life. When these two stubborn and independent individuals meet and find that they both seem to have the same thoughts on what they want from someone of the opposite sex. What brought them together may end up being the same thing that drives them apart. You will see many of your favorite employees and characters associated with Forde Limited which just makes this another perfect book by Melanie Jayne. Don’t miss this book or any in the Change Series!
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
This is the third book that I have read in this series, and I am going to have to go back and catch up on the ones I have missed.
I loved Sly and Campbell. I loved the way they interacted and their witty banter. They had one another’s back whether it was wanted or not. They were there for the good times and the bad.
I liked how Campbell was smart, strong, and independent. Yet, she was also vulnerable, and Sly supported her through her vulnerability. Sly let Campbell be Campbell. He wasn’t interested in trying to change her into someone else. He also had his own vulnerability that he tried not to let it break him.
Then came the unexpected twist of someone losing their mind. When things started to fall apart, the Limited Group family stepped in to hold it together. I enjoyed reading about how everyone was connected, how supportive they were, and how they made their own family. This also made we want to really read the other books to get each couple’s story.
I do wonder what was up with the whole Jenn situation. That was explained from other’s perspectives, but not from Jenn’s. Maybe she has a book of her own.
This book grabbed me from the first page and I did not put it down until the last. It was sweet, romantic, sexy, witty, and fun to read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
