This is a great book if you like a story with a slight age gap between the characters, it’s not so much May to December more May to July. Where Chance is the aggressor rather the older Darren, The Characters are well written and enjoyable, relatable with a sweet banter apart from when Chance talks dirty between them which I really liked. I am hoping that we hear more about these Characters and other secondary ones as they need their HEA too. The story is steamy and hot in places with Chance firmly taking the lead with some mild angst thrown in for good measure.
This book is the perfect Sunday afternoon read
I totally enjoyed this book. A different dynamic for May/December with who is in control. Lots of dirty talk with a sweet emotional undertone. Hot sex with connection. Both MC are interesting and engaging. Their chemistry is perfect, but can it survive the outside world. I do think the reaction of Darren’s peers is realistic. The communication between the two and how they reveal themselves to each other is heartwarming. You definitely want to read more- hint I want an epilogue. There are some fun secondary characters. I would have liked to have seen more of them together when they figured it out but it was definitely a worthwhile read.
This was the first book I’ve ever read from this author and I really liked it! There was some action and a connection that could not be denied! Darren and Chance have chemistry for days!
* I read an advanced copy of this book and this is my unbiased review!**
A brilliant example of an age gap story! I loved the emotions between the MCs so much! Between the attraction, insecurities, charm and stubborness, the story is a bit of an emotional roller coaster I didnt want to get off of! Such a great one!
First off, can I say that I love the double meaning of the word Chance in the title? Brilliant title, in my humble, but accurate, opinion.
I loved how Chance and Darren met. Darren couldn’t resist Chance no matter how hard he tried. Love defies logic sometimes. After getting to know each other on the flight, it’s apparent that despite their differences in age in financial status, they have a genuine connection to each other, only at the time of arrival home, Chance seems to want it more. When they run into each other again, all bets are off. Neither man will be denied, and it gets hot and heavy fast. The next morning they discuss their concerns about how others will perceive them being together, and agree to avoid dealing with their questions and judgments by keeping their relationship private. They want to be together, but keep it for themselves to enjoy. Eventually it will come to a head, and they know this, but they don’t want to deal with it…yet.
This was a sweet story, and fun to read. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. Before this book, I was only used to Silvia Violet’s books: Lucian, Angelo, and Devil. That series is so different from this lighter storyline. It was nice to see another side to the author’s writing abilities. I really liked this book!
